Re: Hero discussion moment (99,847) (99,851) by RibbonB from USA Mariah has the creative advantage to write songs singular and unique to her voice, like GML and to write a more generic Hero. I appreciate both for her. I actually wish she would write more songs that many could sing. That's often the sign of a standard, or one in the making. In these "panoramic" times, she could really work on her song crafting. Hero and All I Want are her only true standards IMO. I've always imagined her recording songs from the American songbook or so called standards, but imagine if she comes out of the pandemic with a recorded version of her own, old and new. Nothing new as I said. And most of it is from that by gone era that her fans know all too well. If she makes her life story it won't consist of rehashed interviews. Now a "Stellar" reel would at least be more current and interesting, but she would have no interest in retelling what she has tried so hard to ignore.
