About RibbonB from USA: I love Mariah's Music.

Re: Mariah was Britney (98,284) (98,285) by RibbonB from USA
Well IDK, according to the book Miss Pat was tryna swoop in, but Mimi fought her off like she was Bianca and did a quick two step outta the "retreat" and said helll to the naw like Whitney. But seriously, Mimi found the will to cut ties with the label head, but cutting family ties is always complicated, which is why I get Mariah's complicated relationship with her mom and her side effects with TM. Speaking of Whitney, her sister in law had a grip on her and is still making yet another Whitney story, SMH, but Clive is also involved. Her reaction to WH death is creepy.

Re: Britney Spears (98,269) (98,278) by RibbonB from USA
Thank God that is not on the table. Nice of Mariah to show support to Britney. There should be limits on what conservators can do, time limits on their control, spending limits on the use of their money and saving requirements for the breadwinner. I applaud Britney if she is now refusing to work to feed her leeches.

It's not the retort you wanted, but the only only one that matters. And the only fact is he is her employee, everything else is opinion.

Nope, I have been consistent on this subject on this board. Said it first and often. But believe what you want.

Re: Tanaka and MC (98,252) (98,254) by RibbonB from USA
I can't speak to his or her heart, but so many fans Cape for some fictional fantasy, but didn't hesitate to crap on her narriage and still find glee anytime they find a reason to blast Nick. Let Tanaka have to go out and earn his keep, or make it on his own. Would he step out and fetch and would she let him come and go? Store bought stories seem to suit her insecurities and neediness better than dealing with a real relationship with mutual expectations and give and take. She expressed difficulty in dealing with the two she had, even with two kids in the last one. Will that bother the kids when she said in her book that having the kids contributed to the breakup? An odd way to put it.

Paycheck.

Ok Edward, we are on the same page. Nick is a whole mess, but Mimi is too and she is responsible for her own crap. I forgot to mention Mick Jagger is old at, and is still bearing spawn with chicks half his age, but that's not my business either, lol.

Collecting that paycheck. He probably got pandemic hazard pay too. His authenticity will always be in doubt, imo. He still works for her and does her bidding.

Re: I was right (98,244) (98,245) by RibbonB from USA
Oh the fallout from the memoir that she chose to write and have published, from the management that she chose to turnover her life and career and her young children to, and fallout from her sick siblings? This is all her old baggage. Nick's procreation spree isn't her concern and if it is she needs to explore why that is. She needs to protect the kids from her own press. Yes Nick is wilding on pro creating for who knows why, but Mimi has tons to clean up with no one to blame but herself. Perhaps he thinks he's Rastafarian like Bob Marley with his gang of kids and baby moms, or Quincy Jones with six or seven and multiple moms. Nothing new under the sun, but it's not illegal, nor an abomination. The twins seem to get along well with Golden, I'm sure they'll love all the new babies.

Re: Nick, why oh why? (98,234) (98,238) by RibbonB from USA
I don't think we will ever be done with Mariah's messy past. And as far as her putting her best face on the family thing, yes at times, but on her terms and her turf. Nick is fine with her bubble. He's very active in his twins' lives but I don't blame him for having separate moments. I got sick if Mimi and her work parties with her kids. It's about time they both keep them lower profile on the web. Those kids are smart, net savvy and good readers and in their mom's case they were often witnesses with the witches and the foolery. Roc seems like he's gonna speak his mind if given the opportunity.

Re: Nick, why oh why? (98,225) (98,229) by RibbonB from USA
Mimi has already done damage and set the stage with the kids, raising them up in a coven with Stella and her clan of heathens. Nick made it clear post divorce that he was done with traditional and that he wanted at least five kids. Nothing about their family has been traditional post divorce for either of them. Multiple kids with multiple mothers is dumb, but the mothers are willing to collect their baby momma pensions and he is willing to pay. Meanwhile Mimi is still trying to settle sexual harassment lawsuits from the clowns who helped "raise" her kids for three years. Nick just seems to want to shut any thoughts of reconciliation, whilst providing a bunch of future friends and siblings to the twins.

Re: Worst song ever made? (98,186) (98,191) by RibbonB from USA
Mimi likes to be on trend, but doesn't have it and her fans don't really want it. It's like she might like to dance, but she is not good at it.

Re: Caution deserved better (98,148) (98,151) by RibbonB from USA
Those are good choices and yes in that order. I think Mimi likes to play too much and single and dabble with her babies and hedge her bets instead of picking a strong plan and working it. She likes to test the crowd, but there is rarely lamb consensus and the general public doesn't care, or has the attention span of a gnat. She has to focus on strong, well crafted songs, or she can just keep playing and having fun.

Re: Caution deserved better (98,120) (98,142) by RibbonB from USA
8th Grade should've been the single. The most memorable song from Caution, for me at least.

Re: Spoiler alert (98,129) (98,139) by RibbonB from USA
I like the different elements of the song. I wish the words were more discernable. There is something about the way she was singing that makes her diction constrained or something. It is somewhat nice though.

Re: Roc Nation (98,122) (98,124) by RibbonB from USA
Ok, we are on the same page. But the artists who are really embracing the genre and keeping the tradition. Alice barely get shine is what I was saying. Cool that Bruno is doing his part, but much like the current day voter suppression, there is a lot if r nd b suppression going on, lol. I love that Ledisi still does the damned thing and many others despite the treatment in the industry. There's a lot still going on, just have to look for it, as is not highlighted or even provided in present radio, etc.

Re: Roc Nation (98,091) (98,116) by RibbonB from USA
Edward, Bruno Mars has proven that he can do justice to the great old R and B songs that he pays homage to. The genre has been fun and great, just obscured and segregated Gor the past decade, even barred for the mist part from the Grammys, except for him lately. Still get pissed at how they treated a Miguel with Adorn during his nomination year. Mariah herself has shown some good R and B moments with Dedicated, Me It Look Good and It's a Wrap before that, even Candy Bling. Mariah suffers from writing overwrought, too wordy songs on many not her most recent records. She needs to pare the stories down and craft the songs better and be able to tell it live. I do live Anderson Paak and Bruno on Open. Great song, giving honor to the great Dramatics, Chil-lites, Tavares, etc. Even The Jackson Five.

Lol, you wanna get the biard moving with I Don't? Pass, worse than crack unity, but consider this my contribution to the conversation. I wonder why Mimi has blanked out on good video concepts of late.

The assistant (98,041) by RibbonB from USA
Will this case ever end? Geez Louise. Mimi and her spiral era, still spinning. What a mess, but here is old, cold tea, Mimi and Tiny seemed super tight for a while. Shella produced TI and Tiny's reality show, then Mariah's trainwreck show. I wonder if TI and Tiny are on any of those tapes.

Re: Dionne Warwick (98,038) (98,040) by RibbonB from USA
That's all your opinion and she gave hers, or rather reserved making a statement. Neither opinion is right or wrong, just pick a side and agree or agree to disagree. It's not that serious. You're acting like she said hell to the no Mimi is not an icon. That's not what she said.
