Re: "Charmbracelet" anniversary (79,621) (79,632) by Terna from Nigeria
I agree this era was very pivotal to "The Emancipation Of Mimi" era, this was the time Mariah took a step back, and reassessed everything, plans were made in this time on how she was gonna take back that no. 1 spot. She also started caring for her instrument more and it showed. If I'm not mistaken the term "lamb" was coined in this era for her cult following. And we each have a charmbracelet to prove it so to speak - the album. Lol.

Mariah Carey (79,461) by Terna from Nigeria
Check this out. This made me laugh a little, like damn I'm getting old, how can you not know this song? Lol. But seriously though this woman's music will (all caps) stand the test of time. See how that black guy goes "I've been in the dark for way too long", haha welcome to the light brother.

The Star on Vevo (79,459) by Terna from Nigeria
Well, the video just got added to her Vevo account and it's simply stunning. Visuals and effects on point, and overall really brings the song to life as it should. Really cool seeing dem kids at the end, with their mystery friend. Lol. I recall him being in one of her IG posts. This is a win for Mariah.

The Manchester gig (79,422) by Terna from Nigeria
With what happened at the Ariana concert earlier this year, I'm a little nervous for her concert later on this year at the same venue (correct me if I'm wrong). Oh well, she and her team are in my prayers constantly, and I hope measures are taken to ensure everyone attending stays safe, you guys should remember to commit her whole tour into his hands too. Much love.

Mariah's cleaning house (79,327) by Terna from Nigeria
With Stella and Big Jim Wright gone and a new manager hired, I guess it's safe to say it's a new dawn for Mariah. I won't be surprised to see her cut more ties and hire new people, especially in the music side of things - new collaborators, new producers, if possible new background singers. And reconnecting back with people she hasn't worked with for a while (Afannansief, Babyface, Stevie J, Cory Rooney) just to see if that magic can be recaptured, a proper Missy Elliott track while she's sober too won't hurt. Crowing it all with a fresh makeover complete with that tired blonde hair gone. (When last did Mimi rock her real hair color? I bet the younger Lambs don't even know she isn't blonde. Lol.)

I knew there was more to it as soon as Mariah returned to form. Haha. Oh well, let's hope the next manager is more professional.

Little Snowman new song (79,093) by Terna from Nigeria
I Just heard the new song for her upcoming animated film on Facebook. Quite a bop I would say. Mariah is coming all out for Christmas this season.

My All (79,029) by Terna from Nigeria
"My All" just hit 100 million views on Vevo recently. Congratulations to Mariah. I believe it's the only video from the "Butterfly" album to achieve this feat.

The Star (78,970) by Terna from Nigeria
I absolutely love the song it obviously was written with the movie theme in mind and I love her vocal performance also. The way she sings towards the end kinda reminds me of "Through The Rain" belting and suddenly cutting the brakes if you get what I mean. Lol. All in all her voice sounds smooth and rested which is a surprise with all the touring she has been doing lately. Wish the song and movie all the success this Christmas season and many more to come, Lots of love Mariah as always.

Re: Betcha gon know / MOAIA (78,875) (78,880) by Terna from Nigeria
I said it before and I'm saying again, Mariah hates that Daydream era and all it stood for (ok maybe hate is too strong a word but an adjective close), it's the reason she avoids singing songs from that album like a plague. Lol. The only ray of light from that time was Jermaine Dupri, DaBrat and the creation of "Always be my baby" which she never seems to miss an opportunity to sing. (Didn't they escape "Sing Sing" for like a whole day without Tommy's looming bodyguards? And then Tommy threw a fit when they came back.) It must've been that day she decided she was leaving. Mariah was in a prison just without bars and a whole lot of comfort but even that for an adult can still feel suffocating or claustrophobic when you don't have the liberty that comes with being independent. (Dressing the way you please, going where you please, hanging out with friends etc.) Jermaine and DaBrat talked some sense into her and that's why she's still friends with those two until today. I'm actually proud of her for breaking free. We got a masterpiece - "Butterfly", she a career defining album and her magnum opus. Fact: Mariah has never (all caps) sung "Melt Away" live.

Re: Betcha gon know / MOAIA (78,866) (78,872) by Terna from Nigeria
Do you ever get the feeling that some of Mariah's songs aren't just songs about love and heartbreak but on a deeper level, something more that directly relates to her? This particular song rubs me that way. It's about something more than just a heartbreak regular theme. With lyrics like "I had all my trust in you and look what you put me through", "Somewhere down the line you gon what you deserve you f**king Jerk" and the closing line "Betcha gon know how this feels even if it's the last thing I ever do". Damn. The song is so dark.

Re: Article: Mariah Carey appears to look dramatically different (78,859) (78,871) by Terna from Nigeria
That's because they're not happy to see her happy and in a good place but too bad for them she always proves them wrong and stays winning by default. She looks amazing and sounded better than she has this year so far.

Re: I fell in love with Mariah's lives (78,795) (78,802) by Terna from Nigeria
Wow, that's exactly how I felt about "Make It Happen" before I watched her perform it live on VH1 Divas Live too. I truly never cared for the song nor its numerous remixes until that performance easily the best that night, but I was also nervous with all the jumping around on stage. Haha. Another song I didn't get until I watched her sing it live was "Dreamlover" around the same time but on her world tour the performance in the "Around The World" DVD.

Don't take us for fools here, there's no kid here? You crossed the line and I, as well as many others here I'm sure, found that message very offensive. You need to apologize. [Webmaster: No apologies required, apparently the truth hurts.]

You look better than Mariah Carey? I'd love to see that, prove it young man as the saying goes, "a pcture is worth a thousand words". So until you reveal yourself, my description of you stands.

Re: Article: Now he's touching her body (78,741) (78,757) by Terna from Nigeria
And I wonder how you look. It's easy isn't it? To sit here hiding behind a Mariah Carey picture and spewing forth rubbish. Talking about her looks, a woman who is known world over as one of the most beautiful women ever. Now how do you look? Fat, old and pimply faced I bet with a receeding hairline or better yet, totally bald.

You've been swimming in Andrew's poisonous walls way too long and have gotten corrupted by his negativity. You need to dive right back out and get yourself back. You know, how you used to be before you started hanging out with that gremlin and assuming its ways? And now you're a gremlin webmaster on a downward spiral calling Mariah Carey a hooker. Smh so sad Eric. Too sad.

Treats for the fans (78,739) by Terna from Nigeria
Ok, now I'm convinced somehow, all these leaks the acapellas most especially is Mariah herself dropping all these goodies and I'm loving them. Now finger crossed for the video of "Underneath The Stars" surfacing 20 plus years later after it was shot and the real version of "Loverboy" with that sample that you know who stole.

Mariah out and about (78,737) by Terna from Nigeria
Glad to see she's getting her body back. She's looking good in the recent pics, has her glow-up coming. Hot tamale. Getting ready for Mariah season, also known as Christmas. Lol. Predicting that AIWFCIY will hit No. 1 on the Billboard hot 100 this year. Won't that be epic?

Piers Morgan (78,634) by Terna from Nigeria
One would think with his years of experience he should know better. I think this was done on purpose by Pier to put Mariah on the hot seat and in this social media age we live in this would've been New Years Eve all over again had her response been lacking. So unprofessional and distastefully done. She should have been informed maybe during a commercial break or something, not taken unawares like that. Shame on him. Mariah being full of grace handled that very well.

Re: Butterfly saved my life (78,588) (78,602) by Terna from Nigeria
Thanks for this post Eduoard, it's an amazing feeling words cannot fully describe hearing yours and others experiences with the Butterfly album and how you, I and millions of others connected to and still cherish and play that particular album. Mariah was hurting when she made that album, and I guess her healing came from its crafting and completion, she had a platform to be heard and the world her audience. But even she didn't fathom that in the process she was creating something bigger than her, that would heal so many others infinitely.
