Mariah films music video in 1993 wedding gown

Billy Bush: The dress that you wear in there, is a dress that you've worn before, correct? Give me the honest story.

Mariah Carey Well, it's not even that deep of a thing really, I mean I guess probably subconsciously it is, but how was I going to find another Vera Wang exclusive dress that fit me perfectly with a 27 foot train, in two days?

Yes, the dress appears in one of two music videos Mariah Carey's shooting. But it was back in June of 1993 when Mariah first wore this Vera Wang gown with a dramatic 27-foot train during her wedding to now ex-husband music executive Tommy Mottola.

Mariah Carey: Not to say anything negative about anything from the past but it's got some... it's a weighty thing, but umm, I don't know, I didn't really think about it on that deep of a level but it is pretty intense that I put it back on.

I'll say! And once the marriage ends, you usually don't see the bride putting on the gown again, but folks, this is Mariah Carey with her new, much anticipated album "The Emancipation of Mimi" out in April, she's letting her guard down.

Billy Bush: So there's no letting out demons and setting out free, you just needed a dress.

Mariah Carey: I needed a dress, but I'm sure a few demons got set free in the process.

Billy Bush: Come on, in the process, it's gotta feel good, right?

Mariah Carey: I don't wanna give away too much about it but I'll just say it was a very emancipating moment.

Billy Bush: What about your life? I mean what do you want? I look at you and I say there's a woman who could have children, be a mom, all those things - do you wanna do that?
