She and husband Nick Cannon often share their lavish home life with their online fans. And Mariah Carey posted a sultry snap of herself revealing a gold bikini top under a white blouse while at a family beach retreat Tuesday. "Fresh ocean breeze," the 43-year-old pop diva tweeted to her 14.9 million followers.
The five-time Grammy winner also shared a swimming pool shot of her fraternal twin toddlers Monroe and Moroccan - affectionately known as "Dem Babies". "Dembabies living for that water," Mariah captioned the swim snap. Carey recently revealed her children - who turn three next month - will frequently say "Lie down, Mommy." "Meaning 'Lay with me and watch a movie'," the former American Idol judge told People magazine last month. "Because otherwise they have to watch Your Baby Can Read or something educational. I'm a tough task-master like that."
The Vision of Love crooner had her hair styled by Monroe - nicknamed 'Roe - in what she called a "braid extravaganza". Mariah has also been recording material for her long-awaited 14th studio album while on her beach retreat. She tweeted: "Pon de makeshift studio, pjs at work, not festive slippers at all."
Carey's new album - formerly titled The Art of Letting Go - will be released on May 6 after four years of recording. Little Monroe - who "can't stay away from Momma's mic" - will make her singing debut on it. "It's a song that I wrote with Bryan-Michael Cox and Jermaine Dupri. There's a part that Jermaine says on the song that the kids loved, and Monroe started to say it," Mariah told People.
"I kept having to get my iPhone and record her. So I have all these different takes of her saying things, singing things. Then I'd be like, 'This is your new ad lib - learn it!' I have to make it fun for her."
Carey was last seen in a plunging Dior gown belting her new single You're Mine (Eternal) atop a grand piano at the BET Honors. Not seen was her 33-year-old husband of nearly six years, who's been busy putting his many talents to use. The World's Got Talent host's directorial debut School Dance will come out this year starring Kevin Hart, Amber Rose, and Wilmer Valderrama. On Saturday, Cannon will perform a DJ set at the night club Surrender happening at Encore in Wynn Las Vegas. The next day, Nick will jet to Austin's SXSW Festival for a "fireside chat" at the MVMT House at the Hilton Garden Inn. (Mail Online)
