International singer Mariah Carey and Emirati superstar Hussain Al Jassmi are set to share a stage in Dubai this month, at a celebration to mark one year until Expo 2020. On Sunday, October 20, at exactly 8.20pm (we see what you have done there Expo, 20:20, very clever), the UAE will be just 365 days away from the opening of the Expo.
Carey and Al Jassmi are set to perform a free concert at Burj Park, Downtown Dubai for the One Year to Go celebrations, with an incredible Burj Khalifa backdrop. The singers will be joined by homegrown musical favourites DJ Bliss, Abri and the Funk Radius and Khalifa.
As well as music, there will be a countdown with a fireworks display at Burj Park and a Burj Khalifa LED show. The concert is currently sold out, but it is thought more tickets could be made available at 3pm today, Monday, October 7. It is not clear if these tickets will also be free.
