Mariah Carey: The show must go on
International diva Mariah Carey faced an agonising decision after the son of a close friend was found dead earlier last month - would she carry on with her concert or stay and console her grieving pal?
After much soul-searching the actress decided not to disappoint her legions of fans and flew to South Korea for the scheduled gigs - which began in Seoul on 21 June 2003 - leaving longtime manager Louise McNally to grieve alone for her son Conor, who had taken a lethal overdose.
A source from the Carey camp adds, "Instead of coming back, Mariah taped a message for the funeral. She also performed a tribute to Conor at the first show, singing Through The Rain. And she's been on the phone with Louise constantly." (WENN)
