Get ready for Sex and the City. I hear Mariah Carey, Patti LaBelle, Missy Elliott, Alicia Keys, Macy Gray and comedienne Mo'Nique are in discussions to star in a new independent feature called Ladies' Night for producer Lee Daniels (Monster's Ball). The story follows a group of Philadelphia women who spend a night on the town discussing sex, weight, careers and, of course, love.
Like the inexpensive Monster's Ball, which won an Oscar for Halle Berry, the film's budget will be small - less than $3 million - meaning the women will have no assistants or hairdressers on the set. Not only are they are up to the task, sources say that Beyoncé recently inquired about participating in the project as well. (People magazine)
