Oldies cash in on pop tours

Pop kids may dominate the charts, but when it comes to concert ticket sales, the old guys have got it made. According to the concert industry publication Pollstar, mid-year live music grosses were dominated by veteran acts Bruce Springsteen, Tina Turner, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young and Kiss.

Some of the youngsters did okay. NSYNC, Backstreet Boys and Ricky Martin placed just behind the greying herd in fifth, sixth and seventh place, respectively, while Britney Spears landed in 12th spot and Mariah Carey finished in 25th place (with $7.1M).
