Mariah Carey releases her new single on 3rd October. Including "Get your number" feat. Jermaine Dupri and "Shake it off", the single is the follow-up to Mariah's worldwide summer smash hit "We belong together". Both tracks are taken from Mariah's massive new album "The emancipation of Mimi" which continues to top the charts across the globe.
"Get your number" was co-written and co-produced by Mariah Carey and Jermaine Dupri and with its classic R'n'B sound is sure to see out the summer with a bang. Meanwhile "Shake it off" began its ascent up the US Billboard charts just a few weeks ago and is this weeks Greatest Gainer / Airplay reaching #4. The double A-sided single will be accompanied by two stunning brand new videos.
"We belong together" continues to dominate the US Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, remaining at #1 for a 14th amazing week, making it the charts' longest running #1 single of 2005. Since the release of "The emancipation of Mimi" in April, Mariah has once again taken the world music charts by storm. Worldwide sales of the album have reached over 5 million copies and, in addition to the 165 million records she has already sold, confirm Mariah's position as the biggest selling female artist in the world.
Earlier this month Mariah celebrated a double victory at the US 2005 Teen Choice Awards winning gongs for Best R&B Artist and Best Love Song. Mariah also won an additional 4 gongs at The World Music Awards in Los Angeles picking up Best Selling R&B Artist, Best Selling Female Pop Artist, Female Entertainer of the Year and Best Selling Single for the world wide summer smash "We belong together".
