Regained "strength"

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony
Before Twista's rapid-fire rhymes made it big and before Dizzee Rascal and the rest of the British grime scene started rhyming in double time, there was Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, with their intricate, super-fast rapping dropped over laid-back soul on hits, including "Tha Crossroads". On the Cleveland crew's latest album "Strength and Loyalty" (Full Surface/Interscope), they set out to remind people of their stature, signing up high-profile pals from Swizz Beatz and The Game to Black Eyed Pea will.i.am and Mariah Carey.

"Strength and Loyalty" is packed with so many potential hits, it must have been tough to pick a single. Going with the "Crossroads"-like "I Tried" with Akon was probably a good move, though the catchy "Lil' Love" with Carey and Bow Wow will likely be the bigger smash this summer. There's also the addictive "Wind Blow", which samples a big chunk of Fleetwood Mac's "The Chain", to look forward to, along with "So Good, So Right", built around the Brenda Russell nugget of the same name.
