Mariah Carey flaunts her smokin' bod in new video
Pop diva Mariah Carey is at the top of her game in more ways than one. She not only has a hot album E=MC2, and a new marriage to Nick Cannon, but she's in better shape physically than she's been in a long time, and she apparently wants to flaunt it. Her new music video is out and Carey spends most of it cavorting in a tiny bikini. She also did a new magazine photo shoot to show off her smokin' bod. Go girl!
Carey revealed the secrets to her sleek new physique on a recent Oprah Winfrey Show daily hour-long workouts combining water aerobics and isometric exercises. Her new regimen is clearly working, as Mariah looked slimmer and fitter than ever when she appeared on Oprah to promote E=MC2, and new single, Touch My Body. Carey, 38, who has won five Grammy Awards, recently broke Elvis Presley's record for the most U.S. number ones for a solo artist: 17. The Beatles hold the top spot with 20.
After having battled weight on and off for the past few years, Mariah has started to eat sensibly and has enlisted the help of personal trainer Patricia Gay, whom she flies in from St. Barts for their workouts. "Working out and being on a diet has made me feel healthier, so that's a good thing," said Carey. "What's great about working out in the pool is that the water acts as resistance, so you're actually exercising twice as hard without feeling it."
E=MC2 posted the highest sales week of the year, moving 463,000 copies shortly after its debut. Sales for E=MC2, which is Carey's sixth No. 1 album, surpassed the previous best of 2008, Jack Johnson's Sleep Through the Static, by 88,000 sales. Carey's previous album, The Emancipation of Mimi, arrived at No. 1, selling 404,000 copies. (The Improper)
