Elizabeth Arden banks on Mariah and Usher

The Elizabeth Arden group expects to see their bottom line improving due to new scents from singing sensations Mariah Carey and Usher. Other new fragrances such as one from Elizabeth Arden and Viva la Juicy from the Rocawear license is also expected to yield results.

In addition to banking on the sale of celebrity fragrances, Elizabeth Arden expects great things from the Liz Claiborne fragrance licenses the Company has acquired. News published online shows that the US beauty group is hoping to see an increase in sales in 2009 of between 12.5 percent and 14 percent as a result of the Liz Claiborne input.

CEO of Elizabeth Arden, E. Scott Beattie was quoted online about the expected returns from Liz Claiborne licenses: "As we look to fiscal 2009, we expect the Liz Claiborne transaction to provide us with significant incremental sales and earnings growth..."
