Mariah laid with $4K worth of jewellery from megafan

Mariah Carey loves nothing more than diamonds. Who doesn't? So it's no wonder the elusive chanteuse is grinning form ear-to-ear after a megafan with a similarly expensive taste bought the diva $4,000 worth of jewellery as a thank you gift during her Las Vegas residency.

TMZ reports Eric Meier was invited personally by the megastar pop queen to her opening show at Caesar's Palace last Wednesday, May 6. No wonder, when the jeweler casually rocked up to greet the singer with a pair of diamond hoop earrings worth more than our rent for a whole year.

According to the site, the hoops are worth a cool $4G, although we're guessing he'll have got a tiny discount as they're from his own store, Diamonds Don't Lie. They certainly don't as the Touch My Body powerhouse singer was clearly overjoyed with her new bling.

Mimi opened her three month residence at The Colosseum at Caeser's Palace to a see of rave reviews. The 45-year-old launched her highly-anticipated stint to a sold out audience of 4,100 hitting all the high notes after a series of pretty shocking live performances of late.

The songstress'#1 To Infinity concert series celebrated the star's 18 numb done singles in chart-topping chronological order complete with outrageous props, including a hit pink Thunderbird convertible, and sparkles - lots and lots of sparkles.

"Cheers. Opening night. Thank you everyone. #1 To Infinity," toasted on Twitter, alongside a video cheering a knockout opening night with glasses of champers. All in all, with a set of $4,000 earrings and a flawless first night, Mariah had a pretty successful night.

Seems like Mariah's luck is finally turning around after separating with husband Nick Cannon, the father of her two children Moroccan and Monroe. Despite reports of huge beef between the pair, Cannon shared an adorable message to his former Mrs. for Mother's Day.

"Gotta represent for the mother of my children," he wrote on Instagram. "She is such a wonderful, thoughtful, festive, loving and nurturing soul. I will forever be in debt to you for blessing me and the rest of the world with Roc and Roe."
