Mariah themed brunch pop-up to open in London

Like us, you've probably been asking: "Why hasn't anyone combined performance art, Mariah Carey, brunch and gays? They belong together!" Well, there can be miracles. The Cadbury's Creme Egg restaurant and cafes serving breakfast cereal were just the beginning. A new pop-up in Vauxhall appears to be the stuff of fantasy. See what we did there?

The Glitter Brunch Club claims to be the world's only "Mariah-inspired brunch and cabaret cafe", boasting a fabulous set menu, screening of Carey's seminal work Glitter, and star turns from the likes of Coral DeVille and Baby Lame. Menu items include the Heartbreaker Mimosa, Vision of Love Brunch Mezze and Dreamlover Strata.

And it's all for a good cause! The Glitter Brunch Club is organised by the team behind award-winning club night Push the Button, and all profits will go to The Food Chain, the charity bringing good food and nutritional education to Londoners living with HIV.

The event takes place at the Grade II listed Royal Vauxhall Tavern - the first UK landmark to be recognised by the government for its importance to LGBTQ culture and heritage. Tickets are £20 a pop, and selling fast, with only a few tables remaining for this Saturday available from glitterbrunch.eventbrite.co.uk.

It looks set to be one sweet day...
