Mariah Carey's former stylist Philip Bloch opens up

Mariah Carey has been hit by another blow following her split from fiance James Packer - her former stylist has opened up about her diva behaviour. Phillip Bloch has lashed out at the singer in a new In Touch magazine expose, claiming Mariah can be very difficult and to deal with.

"She's a lot to handle," he tells the publication. "She's delusional, but that's OK. It works in her life. She's like a ride at the amusement park - there's a lot of turbulence going on there."

Bloch, who styled Mariah for a famous 2005 Essence magazine shoot, has made it clear he's not her biggest fan in the past - in 2014 he blasted reports suggesting his colleague Joe Zee charged the singer $65,000 (£52,000) to perfect her look for an album cover photoshoot, insisting she is "difficult - but not that difficult".

The costs of making Carey look like a million dollars were exposed in a legal spat between the singer and snapper Michael Thompson, who claimed he incurred massive costs after the star cancelled a 2013 session with him at the last minute. In his legal papers, Thompson claims the former Elle magazine creative director was set to be paid $65,000 to make Carey look amazing.

Bloch told news show Entertainment Tonight, "That's crazy. What was she on? A 10-day shoot? It's ridiculous. She would have had two or three days of prep (preparation), a day of shoot - maybe two days of shoot - and a day of return, at maybe five, six thousand dollars a day - the most - is what a stylist should be charging."

"I've worked with Mariah; she's difficult but she's not that difficult to dress. She comes a little late... she hates clothes going over her head; she likes them to be pulled up from below - she gets a little claustrophobic."
