Waitress who serenaded Mariah Carey is a New Yorker

The waitress who got on the mike to serenade Mariah Carey at a party to celebrate new record label Butterfly MC Records - while Grammy winner David Foster played the piano at Catch LA recently - is New Yorker Sara Snyder. We're told the singer-server had interned at Epic Records. "Last night at work took an unexpected turn," she wrote on Instagram.

"Was invited to sing a few classics with the incomparable David Foster and it's a moment I'll never forget." Snyder sang renditions of "At Last", "Respect" and a duet with Foster of Chicago's "You're the Inspiration" in front of an astonished Carey and guests Nick Cannon, LA Reid and DJ Khaled. Snyder is now working on an EP.
