Beckham unseats Spears as No. 1 "worst-dressed"

The good: Britney Spears, for the first time in five years, is not one of the top-10 worst-dressed celebs, according to fashion guru, Mr. Blackwell. The bad news: In 2007, celebrities were as fashionably challenged as ever.
"This past year stands out as one of the most disastrous fashion years in recent memory," writes Blackwell, who's list of "Worst-Dressed Women" was released on Tuesday. Making her debut on the list, which has been annually compiled by the octogenarian since the '60s, Victoria Beckham takes the No. 1 spot in 2007.
"Forget the fashion spice - wearing a skirt would suffice! In one skinny-mini monstrosity after another, pouty posh can really wreck-em," Blackwell snidely notes. The Spice Girl, who along with hubby David Beckham moved to the United States in the past year, usurps two-time reigning champ, Britney Spears, who got a reprieve from Blackwell this year because he "felt that it was inappropriate at this time to make comment, when her personal life is in such upheaval".
But with Britney or not, there was no shortage of fashionably-challenged female celebs to consider for the list. Amy Winehouse took the No. 2 spot, thanks to her "exploding beehives above", and "tacky polka-dots below". Mary-Kate Olsen took No. 3 ("she resembles a tattered toothpick-trapped in a hurricane!"), Fergie took No. 4, and Kelly Clarkson, No. 5 ("She may be the queen of 'Pro-Active' - but that wardrobe looks downright radioactive!").
Mr. Blackwell (first name, Richard), left Paris Hilton off the list for the first time since 2002. Also notably absent is Mariah Carey, who took the No. 5 spot the past two years. At least a few people seem to be getting a clue. The full list: 01. Victoria Beckham
