First, the strings and slow introduction represents the racial and equality in the world and how everyone was affected by it. Second, the rap like first verse is similar to the other social justice rap songs that came out in the spring and MJ's Black and White. The Lauryn Hill sample represents a cry out for change. The ending is MC's plea to us to make change for the betterment of us all. (Friday 21 August 2020; 22:46)

And You Don't Remember (94,897) by Bobby A from United States Nobody ever talks about this song. I have a true story when Emotions dropped that year in 1992. When I first heard AYDR, it reminded me that I needed to break free from someone who told me sweet things to only get me in his pocket to take him to work everyday. I was a young naive 19 year old who fell for him after he slipped me his number at the local Pop Tunes record shop. The lyrics really hit home with me just by MC's short but hard hitting lines. When she said "Foolishly", I felt the song so much. I realized he was using me big time. So that's my AYDR story. Does anyone else have a MC song story? (Thursday 13 August 2020; 00:30)

We are long overdue for a WBT follow-up. She did it with The Roof and Lullaby. DFAU was not a true follow-up to WBT nor was ISIL. I hope she keeps working on the new album through April of next year. I want her to get it right with the best follow-up to Caution. (Thursday 6 August 2020; 04:14)

Remember she wrote it for Nick when he got really sick and found out he had an auto-immune deficiency disease. So, Triumphant was the song MC never really saw as having a potential to be a hit song but her way of supporting her husband during his illness. (Thursday 6 August 2020; 04:06)
