Mariah's team was never really creative with her social media. So I don't think that there being no posts is intentional. They just forgot about it. Stella already made the "tour is over, thank you post". Since Mariah doesn't use her own account, we can assume her team just forgot about it.

Haha Licia, I was the one that asked about your favorite songs from MOAIA. I love the songs. More carefree and laid back. BGK is one of her most underrated songs. This album gets a lot of hate from fans, but I hardly ever skip a song on this one. I might get tomatoes thrown at me for saying this but I will pick MOAIA over MIAM any day. MIAM bums me out a little haha.

Woah "lumped with the other names"? Ouch. And here I thought I was always respectful to you. I adore Deedre and I agree that Deedre's posts are always fair, unbiased and respectful. Your post makes it sound like "the others" which includes my name are trash.

Haha Giovanni I adore you for telling it like it is. I agree, I gave Taylor credit because some of her songs are nice and she is actually one of the rare singers nowadays who actually is involved in the writing process of her songs. But I do believe she is overestimated and over hyped. She is kinda stuck in her high school days which reflects in her song (which are mostly teenage love stuff, but hey that might be her business trick) and her school yard Mean Girls squad vibes.

Don't even bother G, there will always be someone coming up deciding who are "lambs" and "haters". I have started ignoring such comments. We can write a 100 good things about Mariah but 1 bad thing will apparently turn fans into haters. It's because Mariah has so many enablers like these around, her who are too scared to call her out on her mistakes is a huge reason why her image is where it is now. People think a legacy can't be tarnished but it isn't true. Image is very important in show business. The main goats are the people who see Mariah making a mess out her image and then proceed to encourage/praise her for these. Real fans will be there for her but also call her out so that she knows what she is doing is not very pleasant to watch. Maybe even she doesn't know how her image is being portrayed because sometimes we need an outside opinion because we might not know what we are doing is looking odd/bad. Since her management won't tell her, the lambs should. No matter how many new "true lambs" spring out like mushrooms and think they are doing Mariah a favor by shutting down healthy criticism. Those people need to grow up and realize, Mariah is human, not God. So she does make mistakes, which she should be made aware of.

Oh, congrats to Celine. I don't understand then why is Mariah even making an appearance. If Celine is being given the Icons Award, Britney will also receive a special award, Madonna will give a tribute to Prince, then what exactly is Mariah's role? Man I need inside info.

Haha part of me wants Mariah to go and give Wendy a visit just to see Wendy fan girl over Mariah but another part of me wants Mariah to keep avoiding Wendy and pissing her off haha. But you are right, Wendy has been soft on Mariah lately. Or she would have dragged Mariah for that dress a lot more, because we have seen her drag Mariah for a lot less. There might be more Mariah appearances lined up because why would she randomly go on WWHL? Right? I hope we are getting some new thing to argue over haha. Maybe a new album cover to criticize or a new song to divide the board's opinion and then have some come out and say "you guys are not true fans".

Taylor Swift Award? (62,004)
by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
| |
|
|
What on earth? BMI Pop Awards have a Taylor Swift Award for her artistic talent and influence? Why on earth didn't Mariah get one? Taylor Swift is talented and all as a songwriter, but seriously Mariah Carey's writing skills is on a whole other level. Plus it's not like Taylor wrote something that Mariah has done bigger and better. This is ridiculous. I mean congrats to Taylor for getting her award, but it does upset me that Mariah doesn't get enough credit for her writing. Everything is lost in the "diva with a big voice" image.

Last I heard, there was a rumor that Mariah's team managed to get BBMA give her the Icon Award, so they wanted to film that for the finale. This apparently didn't go down well with the reality show people because according to their schedule they planned on finishing the shoot way before that. But if they are waiting for BBMAs they have to push back the air date. This has neither been confirmed, nor denied so it's a rumor for now.

Wendy interview (61,978)
by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
| |
|
|
Mariah was featured on Wendy's episode again. This time both the real and fake Mariah. Wendy had 3 audience member dressed up as celebs and one of them was Mariah. The girl dressed as Mariah was pretty spot on with the face, makeup, hair and body language/expressions. Wendy brought up that hideous dress from Mishka's Bar Mitzvah, and although she didn't drag her too much, I couldn't blame her if she did. That dress was a serious no no. I am just happy the "videos" were not featured.

If he does bring it up, which is pretty likely to happen, I hope this time she just grows up and says something that is not "I don't know her". Things like these give people more ammo to hate on her.

Apparently hundreds of thousands of dollars was poured into that event. They rented out 1OAK on a weekend, which in itself must have cost them a fortune. Then Mishka got a Bentley golf cart. Stella must be loaded to be able to afford this, unless of course it's on Mariah's dime. They even got TMZ to cover it. Lucky girl. But still too young to be doing these. But I'm not surprised because her mom has uploaded videos of her many times with alcoholic drinks in her hands. So maybe that is the new normal.

Mariah at Mishka's Bar Mitzvah (61,896)
by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
| |
|
|
Mariah went to Mishka's Bar Mitzvah at 1OAK and I don't know who told her this would be a good outfit choice. Here is a close up. This is with Stella and Mishka. This is with Bryan and DJ Suss one. She has lot of weight and her makeup looks good but that dress. I just can't. What is it? For a woman who has a 4000 square feet closet, this is what she chooses to wear out.

Re: Mariah Carey gives the world's most awkward lap (61,883) (61,889)

Do tell where I said Mariah should make inferior music to be famous and get awards? In fact no one on this board said Mariah should compromise her music to be popular again. You keep trying to make a point but you get distracted. Next time don't bother trying to start an argument if you don't know what you are debating about. I wish you well.

Sure and you don't need to tell me what I should or should not feel. Mariah herself has allegedly said she would give up her hits to earn the respect that people give to Mary J Blige. She also always complains about how people don't give her enough credit as a songwriter because they only see her as an over the top diva. In other words she wants the respect. I didn't say she should want respect, I said "if she wants respects". Next time read well before you write.

No one is saying anything about what she wore or her confidence. I, for one think she looks great in the bodysuits and her body is in great shape, but I'm sorry we must be watching different videos if that lap dance was "sexy". It was unnecessary, awkward and clumsy. She is not the best dancer, she doesn't need to be. She has the voice, she however also doesn't also need to give random lap dances and tell her dancers to rub up against her from both sides and then ask them to get her boobs in the shot. You can either do that and or you can demand respect. If Mariah wants respect, this isn't the way to go. Day by day she is becoming more of a Kardashian, known more for her diva antics and over the top lifestyle than a legend, a songbird supreme. She is doing it to her own image. I won't blame her entourage because well, we all agree Mariah is smart enough so she should know better.

This was embarrassing and again, unnecessary. I wonder how JP feels about it. I saw the video and I am like, Mariah seriously? First of all why even bother and secondly it was so awkward that 2-3 other people had to stabilize her here and there (so she doesn't fall, just like the way they hold her when she is walking on those high heels) because she can't give the lap dance herself. Also now she doesn't have a good reason to complain about Nick partying it up with all those girls, because she was doing the same. What makes the lap dance weirder is that her kids are usually there around the stage and they witnessed this awkward situation.

That is unfortunately true. Nowadays just having a great song doesn't guarantee a #1. Popularity, demand for the artist, the promotional roll out and the publicity stunts all play a huge part in this.

She talked about her during a radio interview and said "Madonna is a trailblazer, she helped the music industry in so many ways." It was during the MIAM era.
