About Luke from United Kingdom:

Shelly (53,905) by Luke from United Kingdom
I don't believe he meant it in a shady way either. I just think these interviewers ask some type of personal question and he probably just went off on a tangent. Unfortunately celebs need to think about what they are saying more than anyone. He probably is genuinely caring for her but it's other people's perceptions of his words that he would need to think about I guess. It would have been more thoughtful if he just said something like "Mariah can achieve anything when she knuckles down, gets serious and puts her mind to it." He may also be bitter about something though.

I actually agree with a lot with what he said. In present times so much has changed when releasing music in terms of networking and the digital age we're in. But hopefully she will learn about this now she's with Sony and a new team. What I don't agree with and honestly don't understand is why these people seem to think they know how to run someone else's life? I understand trying to help someone you care about more than a lot of people due a personal reason with someone in my family but you get to a point where you have to stop helping because that person isn't willing to meet you halfway. She's a grown ass 45 year old woman with twins, it's up to her how she views her career. Imagine being in her shoes and seeing your "friend" saying stuff like that publicly. It isn't exactly helping her image, who is going to follow a diva who isn't into her career and must only want the money. I know he didn't say these words but that is how people will view her. If she doesn't want to listen to his advice personally then that's up to her and he should deal with that. It will be her who has to suffer the consequences. People like JD and Nathan Morris need to just deal with their own careers and stop "worrying" about others.

"Hating" on the videos (53,823) by Luke from United Kingdom
People would rather her sugar coat all of her work instead of being honest and giving us her true opinion? I appreciate her saying what she feels rather than being fake and saying everything was perfectly done. Believe it or not but a real artist critiques their own work. Only a fool would say there is no room for improvement.

Highlights (53,799) by Luke from United Kingdom
Here's a video of some highlights from her shows. My All sounds so amazing. It's kinda hard to believe how clear her voice is becoming. Is this the third coming of Godriah?

LC (53,742) by Luke from United Kingdom
Thanks for sharing that. I hadn't seen it but how amazing is she singing? I actually think she is sounding better than she did in '05. I can't wait for her to make new music.

Damizza / tip-toes (53,740) by Luke from United Kingdom
"I don't think anyone knows as much about what's right for me as I do." - Mariah Carey. If she doesn't want to be surrounded by people and wants to be alone that's her choice. It doesn't mean it's wrong and clearly that strategy is working for her. I don't see her in a coffin after a drug overdose. The celebrity world must be a scary, dark and corrosive place and if doing all of those things and living in a bubble helps her deal with it then that is none of his or anyones business. He just needs to join the queue of desperate, obssessed ex's. It's been over 10 years and he's still got issues? Something is wrong if your still hung up over someone after so long. On a side note, I walk on my tip-toes as well, and always have done since I was a child lol. I'm suprised that she does this as well. My parents used to try to get me to stop it because they worried it might cause issues with me walking but gave up after a while haha. Anyone know what it might mean?

Billboard Music Awards (53,473) by Luke from United Kingdom
That live note at the end. If you listen closely you can hear multiple weaves whistling through the air. Marcus I'm not sure if you're being serious or not? That live note is probably easier for her to do than belting. Have you seen her Instagram videos?

Mimi.L (53,396) by Luke from United Kingdom
That's a great idea and Someday really does fit with Infinity, but remember how Ariana covered Emotions and it skyrocketed her into the spotlight and that was when the whole "Ariana is the new Mariah" stuff began? She never denied being a new Mariah and practically rode that wave on purpose. I'm not one to jump on fan feuds but to say someone is good to replace you when you're only 45 and still making brilliant music is insulting. This is why it's perfect for her to perform Emotions. Show everyone how it's really done, and live as well. She has been perfecting this song recently and has become brave enough to include the bold intro from MTV Unplugged. This is a smart move and a confident one. She will hopefully set the standard once again after all these years and basically tell everyone there is only one Mariah Carey.

Gilbert (53,379) by Luke from United Kingdom
That must have been an awful experience and sorry it happend to you and all the other fans involved. I agree her and her team could have done more to compensate. Even something like a paid meal at a local up-market restaurant or create another one-off show to replace it. I think a refund with considerable notice would have been fine but if you're going to announce it hours/minutes before the show, you need to start thinking about compensating with something extra. Happy birthday though, I hope you had a good time in Vegas regardless.

Stolen concept (53,310) by Luke from United Kingdom
It's sad this has happened. Like someone below said this explains the 4 year process last year. It's obvious Mariahs creativity is so deeply coveted since people are always fishing for her ideas. She is a true artist in an industry full of desperate and greedy fakes. Good on her for moving on, I wonder if she is planning to take action for it.

I agree. My dad always tells me this quote "It only takes good people to do or say nothing for evil to prevail." I'm not sure who it was that said it but that has always stuck in my mind.

Nicks "loving" message (53,192) by Luke from United Kingdom
I don't believe the whole lovey crap. People can be respectable and helpful while divorcing but they don't display their worldy love for the ex. Most people move on but he isn't most people. He's just a creep and trying to wind Mariah up. I can see right through his whole act, defend him all you want but if you can't see what he is doing you probably haven't had to deal with snakes like him in reality. A more respectable post would have been wishing his children a lovely day with their mother on Mother's Day and leave it at that. You don't need to add on how much you love your divorced ex to make headlines as the yearning victim. The new song probably is about him but where is the proof? The way it is written it could be about the old record label. His approach to Mariah is nothing but manipulative and sly. Lessons he must learned from a father that seems to enjoy disrespecting curvier women. Sorry rant over.

The pink dress (53,099) by Luke from United Kingdom
I actually like it haha. I wasn't keen on the silver and pink number but the layered one kinda reminded me of something from The Hunger Games, something Effie might wear. Anyway we should be used to Mariah's experimental personality, especially when it comes to her dresses. "I do not think I reinvent myself. Wearing my hair differently or changing my style of dress is playing dress-up. I don't take it too seriously." - MC

I'm about to cry (53,042) by Luke from United Kingdom
The way she is singing this makes me feel like it has more meaning to her now more than ever. Total goosebumps. I can't wait to see what else she produces once she gets comfortable with her surroundings and the songs. Hold onto your knickers dahlings.

Good Morning Britain (52,602) by Luke from United Kingdom
She's had an interview done for GMB which is probably going to be shown next week when her shows begin. This is the first type of promotion I've seen for her for a while for over here. This didn't happen when she was on the other label and the only other time she was featured was her lacklustre Christmas shows. She's interviewing really well, it puts a perspective on how muh she must have been dealing with just last year with her random/confused interviews.

Criticism (52,576) by Luke from United Kingdom
Just because some people aren't always criticizing Mariah doesn't mean they're blind. I see many things that she and her team could improve on but what is the point in worrying about it? If I was her close friend it would be different and I would voice my criticism, but I'm not. I like seeing her as a normal person just enjoying life. There are going to be fans that probably do ingore mishaps or things going wrong but that is up to them, but don't generalise every positive and non-criticizing fan as "blind". None of us can even begin to understand what it must be like having so many people "criticizing" your every move.

Infinity (52,395) by Luke from United Kingdom
I keep thinking how the ending sounds so much like Never Too Far. This song is so creative and different. That's the good thing about Mariah, she takes risks and as she has stated before she doesn't jump on bandwagons.

Amazing (52,320) by Luke from United Kingdom
I guess everyone has different tastes in music but I think this song is brilliant. It's fresh while staying true to her sound. Plus there are so many references to her past work in this song, Rainbow, Always Be My Baby and more. We can't expect her to be on top by repeating the same formula we are used to. The rapping is total shade to Nick's poor attempt haha. Be open to hearing new sounds from her and stop having high expectations.

Music video (52,236) by Luke from United Kingdom
Mimi. L I hope that's true, it sounds amazing. I'm also really wanting her to bring back Bianca. It would work so well since she used Bianca for her last sort of break-up song. Plus everyone loves a music video with a bit of humour in.

Album (51,939) by Luke from United Kingdom
Webmaster is that an official CD package? Seeing all of her number 1's stacked like that really puts it into a new perspective. It actually looks quite formidable.

Will she ever be good enough? (51,769) by Luke from United Kingdom
I honestly think some fans need to let go of her. If nothing she is doing is ever good enough then just forget and move on. It honestly isn't healthy getting so wound up over such minute things with something you cannot control. Or atleast learn not to take everything so seriously. She isn't going to spend ample amounts of time on an album made to support a residency. I actually think what she has done with this album is more than what I expected. It's simple, to the point and sleek. She isn't perfect, nobody is, but let us appreciate that she has come this far and stayed so strong without anyone's opinions affecting her. Whether they're her "fans" opinions or the constant critics. A lot of people on this board discard anyone who is positive and names them "enablers". Carry on, but just remember you happen to be a follower of an extremely postive woman who would not have got so far in life if she wasn't so.

Tracklist (51,727) by Luke from United Kingdom
I think some people got their expectations to high. This clearly isn't going to be her last album so I'd imagine they're using this to get people interested in her again. I would have liked a few more new songs just like everyone else, but there isn't so I can just wait and be excited for the new song. Remember this is to accompany her Vegas shows. This isn't a fresh new album. That can come later. This album is for people who like her music but probably don't have all the #1's. They can then buy this new CD and get familiar with the songs if they're going to her Vegas shows or just for the sake of having the songs. It's more aimed towards people who don't follow her as much as her fans and would like to have those songs by themselves and collected into one CD. What would you prefer her to do, spend time recording/producing multiple new songs? Or get ready and rehearse for Vegas and blow us away?

Typo (51,676) by Luke from United Kingdom
So I meant to just write "#1 To Infinity" in my last post but typed out the word "number" as well Lol. I'm a bit tired.

TEOM (51,600) by Luke from United Kingdom
My all time favourite song from that album is "Fly Like A Bird". I remember when I was a child I used to love watching birds and how much I wished I could be one so I could travel the world haha. I still feel like that but I will have to settle for plane trips. I think that's why that song stuck out for me even though it has nothing to do with travel, I still think of that song if I get nervous before travelling and it makes me feel better. Plus "Sprung" and "I Wish You Knew" are my other favourites.
