Wow, thank you for sharing that. It's amazing what she can do. To be able to sing a whole song in a different language, keep all the notes the same and not forget the words is unbelievable. I wonder why she doesn't do this more often, imagine if she done this for some of her songs in Vegas. (Saturday 11 April 2015; 12:43)
Reveal Mariah (51,555)

44 hours guys until something is revealed. So excited. I wish there was a dance emoji on here. (Friday 10 April 2015; 19:24)
Excited (51,511)
by Luke from United Kingdom
This definitely has a different feeling than last year when she was releasing MIAM. Although I was excited the whole process felt tense, this is completely the opposite. Everything seems to be running smoothly, she's hiring a new team (out with the old, in with the new) and she seems detirmined. I do think Island Def kinda lost hope with her. Luckily she didn't lose hope in herself. I think a cameo of Wentworth would be good but not the whole video, I think that might look like they're recycling old ideas. Regardless, I'm sure this year is going to be better the last year. (Thursday 9 April 2015; 12:50)
Kate / nostalgia (51,421)
by Luke from United Kingdom
Although I wasn't lucky enough to witness the release of her earlier albums, I was fortunate to have siblings with good music taste. The album that does it for me is Music Box. I was about 8 when two of my sisters would share that CD and they only had one haha. One of them would listen to it during the day and then leave for work, and then the other would take it and listen to it again. That album was on repeat for atleast a year of my life, not that I'm complaining. I always listen to Dreamlover once a day without fail and I'm sure it's purely because of that time in my life. I don't really know why they only listened to that CD alone though because by that time Mariah was well out of the 90's. I guess that's just the era they loved most. (Monday 6 April 2015; 0:23)
Shelly / book (51,384)
by Luke from United Kingdom
I have to admit I missed reading your posts and the optimism you always have. I also think that if the book is true it won't hurt MC that much. Who would ever work/be in a relationship with him again if he did go through with it? (Saturday 4 April 2015; 18:52)
Love Hangover/Heartbreaker (51,362)
by Luke from United Kingdom
I'm ashamed to say I never knew this existed haha. This is amazing. She needs to bring out upbeat songs again like this, Dreamlover and YDKTD. I hope she does for the next #1's album, especially since it's summer soon. (Friday 3 April 2015; 21:58)
Hypnotized (51,233)
by Luke from United Kingdom
I was thinking how random it was for Mariah to mention that she was listening to this demo on Twitter sometime ago. It would be so amazing if she used it as a new single and any other unheard demos. I think that's been brought up before, but using unknown demos for singles would surely cause a frenzy. It would also be an amazing selling point for the album. Plus, it's her work that became the foundation for her 25 year career. So it would fit perfectly. (Monday 30 March 2015; 0:03)
Mariah is doing just fine (51,213)
by Luke from United Kingdom
I'm pretty sure the carpool was just a bit of fun. She didn't get into that car to start belting out her biggest hits, but I'm sure if she did someone would complain that she needs to rest her voice and not be doing that lol. She also displayed an incredible amount of vocal talent at her Christmas shows and on the tour before that. Plus random moments like when she sang happy birthday to B Scott. Give her time, I'm sure she is more aware than anyone with what has been going on with her career. She's slowly making changes and a lot of them are big, all while juggling a public divorce and children. She seems a lot more proactive now and motivated. (Saturday 28 March 2015; 22:54)
Happy anniversary MC (51,184)
by Luke from United Kingdom
She's given us so much with her talents, I hope she achieves her dreams should she have any. I also hope her arm heals quickly. My mum broke her shoulder last year in January and it still gives her pain so I'm sure Mariah isn't done healing, especially since she said she down played the whole injury. All the best Mariah and I pray for many returns. (Friday 27 March 2015; 20:59)
Mimi.L (51,065)
by Luke from United Kingdom
Yeah it does seem they're just trying to milk it while they can. Using thier name to bring in more money. I didn't mind Whitney's recent album because that was just live performances which was nice, but unreleased songs I don't think should be let out unless they said so before they died. I don't think I saw Shelly's post on that, I did think it had been brought up before because Mariah is amazing at reinventing herself over the years. So for her to revisit those styles would be wonderful. (Friday 20 March 2015; 18:24)
Vegas / Mimi.L (51,058)
by Luke from United Kingdom
You're right, I didn't really consider about how a hologram would be recieved. I guess I just love Whitney almost as much as Mariah and I love "When You Believe" even though it's a bit cheesy. I did feel a little insensitive for Bobbi after posting that but unfortunatley you can't go back on here. A lesson for me to think before I post? Haha. I know where you're coming from about the holograms, I do actually remember watching MJ's hologram and feeling a bit uncomfortable. I definitely agree she should revisit her old styles though. It would be such a great flash back. My favourite era fashion-wise is the Charmbracelet, her hair was stunning back then as well. (Thursday 19 March 2015; 22:56)
Vegas (51,053)
by Luke from United Kingdom
This has probably been brought up but I was just thinking how amazing it would be if Mariah incorporated elements of her past tours/concerts set design over the years into the Vegas shows. As well as, her costumes and dresses of different eras. I also think it would be amazing if she had a Whitney Houston hologram to perform "When You Believe" with her. (Thursday 19 March 2015; 20:24)
Woman in black (51,021)
by Luke from United Kingdom
Ever considered maybe Mariah is working with a new team like a lot of people on here have wanted? I don't know if the illuminati is real or not but if it is I'm sure Mariah has probably dealt with it before. I don't neccesarily believe in God like the Bible says but I like to think there is a greater power we can turn to for help in a more spiritual sense. It's up to people to believe in whatever makes them feel happy as well. However, I do think that if there is a good almighty power, there ultimately has to be a bad. Yin and yang and all that jazz. Jewellery doesn't comfirm this though. Being and avid jewellery wearer I've bought multiple accessories without really knowing the meaning behind their design. Maybe this woman has done the same thing haha. (Wednesday 18 March 2015; 17:56)

Ah that makes sense. I never realised that. Well I hope it gets better. Thanks for replying. (Monday 16 March 2015; 22:07)
Glove (50,944)
by Luke from United Kingdom
Some new pics of Mariah just surfaced on Twitter and she looks amazing. I have always been confused about the glove though haha. However, I actually think I'm getting used to it. Especially the black biker one she wears, which makes her look edgy. Does anyone know what the one glove thing is about? I thought maybe it was to do with her accident but that was a while ago. (Monday 16 March 2015; 19:39)
Psychiatrist / Hero (50,926)
by Luke from United Kingdom
I'm impressed with the amount of trained psychiatrist's on this board. Who are you to say she needs help and therapy? None of us have any idea how she copes with things in her life. I think for how young he was when she started, what has happened in her family and marriages she is doing pretty damn well. As for her performance, that was her best in years. I'm not sure what people expect from a song like this when it's a slow building ballad. .She never used to do much singing Hero in the 90's either. I have wondered if maybe she changes the notes on purpose because I never considered it a hard song to sing apart from the ending. She changed parts of songs in the 90's purely because on a good day she could sound exactly like the recording, and then get chewed up and accused of lip synching. As the saying goes, don't judge someone until you've walked a mile in their shoes. (Monday 16 March 2015; 9:37)
Sia (50,801)
by Luke from United Kingdom
Call me crazy but while we're on the topic of Mariah branching out and working with new people, I think it would be amazing if she done something with Sia. She is hot right now and her voice has that rough vulnerability that Mariah kinda has now. I don't really know how Mariah would feel singing on stage with her though since she keeps herself anymous. I'd love to hear this though. Ah a guy can dream. (Thursday 12 March 2015; 1:24)
Mariah doesn't give a shit? (50,732)
by Luke from United Kingdom
If she didn't give a shit would she really waste her time doing performances in which she sings amazingly 95% of the time, ontop of recording new music and signing contracts for Vages and Sony when she could disappear, live a happy life with her children, make her own music in her studio all with 500 million dollars in her bank? I'm suprised she hasn't done this already when even some of her "fans" critisize every move like they've never made a mistake in there life. Some of the things she does may seem unusual, and not amazing to look at but she's clearly a very experimental person and tries what she wants regardless of what people are going to think of her. I'm guessing some people like fishing for drama on here? (Monday 9 March 2015; 0:49)
She can't win (50,429)
by Luke from United Kingdom
Her fans either say they want her to be in the public eye 24/7 or to "take time out, rest and find herself". Make your minds up people. It is annoying when we don't see her for long periods of time but maybe she doesn't want to waste her time with all the pretentious red carpet act. She probably wants to spend the evening with her kids, not a crowd of self absorbed celebrities trying to compete with what designer they are wearing. (Thursday 26 February 2015; 17:55)
Re: Quiet / Shelly (50,350) (50,357)
by Luke from United Kingdom
It's not wrong for fans to want to hear from her and have something to discuss. We get excited about her music and career. Her being elusive is obviously keeping everyone on the edge of their seats which might be what she wants. You don't need to insult people who want to relish in her glory and success. (Monday 23 February 2015; 21:07)
Bill (50,216)
by Luke from United Kingdom
Hey Bill, I believe my work had it on Kiss when it was on one of their R'n'B episodes. They played "Heartbreaker" and "WBT", and then when I turned it over "It's Like That" was on but I can't remember what channel it was. (Monday 16 February 2015; 16:46)
MC pon de radio (50,210)
by Luke from United Kingdom
I heard 3 of her songs on the radio at work last night as well in the space of an hour too. I went a bit crazy haha it's like people are giving her some love when the tabloids are constantly doing the opposite. (Monday 16 February 2015; 14:33)
We can make it if we try (50,121)
by Luke from United Kingdom
We should have more faith in her. This is the woman who wrote "Make it Happen" and "Fly Like a Bird". She seems to have the frame of mind that makes something good out of a bad experience, and learns from it. Do I think she'll forever drop lip-synching? No, I would imagine she does this now to avoid hurting her voice. She doesn't need to do it on every song though. I would rather have decent albums than constant live performances that could possibly ruin her indefinitely. She's just come out a relationship. People do things to make themselves feel better when this happens, like wear statement gowns, wear more make-up or put on a diva act to hide the hurt. It's not always about making excuses for her, It's about understanding that people deal with life differently. (Saturday 14 February 2015; 13:07)
If It's Over / imperfection (49,986)
by Luke from United Kingdom
TJ that definitely is one of her best performances. I love the Grammys performance more though because of the glamour. I don't think much went wrong with her voice in the late 90's, except her confidence started wavering. All through the beginning of her career she almost had this guarantee that she could deliver well. Even when she was sick she sounded good. However, since her voice began to develop into a husky imperfect tone, she seemed to lose that confidence. Apart from rare occasions like at the Beacon when she knows her voice is in good shape, her insecurities seem to get the better of her. It's pretty obvious that she's a perfectionist which might explain so much lip-synching. She didn't need that at the beginning because her voice was almost perfect, which is what she's known for. It's easier to push your insecurities aside when you're younger. She just needs to realise that people like to hear the raw, imperfect chanteuse that lies somewhere in her. Grammy's (49,946)
by Luke from United Kingdom
So Sam Smith has landed himself 4 Grammy Awards which is pretty good going but I'm not sure if his album warranted 4? I've listened to it and I just feel like it's a carbon copy of Adele's 21. Even his story behind it is the same. I have wondered if the Grammy's is a fix when artists like Whitney and Mariah are getting barely any attention. Mariah didn't attain any number ones from her last album but it still got to third place on Billboard and first in the RnB charts with hardly any promotion. It deserved atleast one. It's frustrating to say the least haha. (Monday 9 February 2015; 7:58)
