About Mara from United States: I'm a Mariah fan since the debut. Been through her entire career with her and may not always agree with every single thing she does, But i will always come to her defense when she gets attacked for being misunderstood. I am not a blind fan and relate Mariah to a sister who I would tell in a minute if something seems wrong or something of that nature. I come to this board to discuss her with people who I feel are true fans and yes, some don't always praise her to the heavens every single moment but we all are here for the same reason and we do adore her.

Re: Weird era (72,361) (72,375) by Mara from United States Well the fact that the video went to number 1 was all the verification that Stella needed to prove to MC that she is doing her job right. She leaked this wedding dress story to TMZ that did nothining but get MC dragged by people in every comment section I read, but hey - it got the video clicks and therefore got the video to number one. So the party and the cake pics we saw all were in celebration of that same mindset where Mishka posted that pic of Mariah that Stella was so happy went viral. That is where we are at and that is what MC is being fed right now. Probably why there is no new album in the works either. How can she have any time to get into that creative space with all these people around all the time. Does Mishka even do homeschooling? This child should not even be let in these clubs at these hours with no kids her age ever. It's all so bizarre. But as I said, bad story? MC's image getting more tarnished? Who cares if there were so many other places Mariah could have put a $250,000 wedding dress. It got people talking and interested in the video and that is where this group of people are going to take Mariah. She is going to remind Mariah there is no money in albums anymore and if you noticed in one of her recent interviews where she talks just doing singles, she almost lets it slip that there isn't money in albums, but catches herself and says but of course she will always be back to the music because that is who she is. YG (72,094) by Mara from United States I wish he wasn't on this track at all. He really brings nothing to this song. His rap is awful and he doesn't even pronounce anything and he and MC really have the least bit of chemistry. You can really see in the video. He looks like Bernie from Weekend at Bernies sitting half slouching propped up in the front seat like he is wasted and he doesn't even look like he wants to be there at all. MV / Mariah's house (72,092) by Mara from United States Well I did my part and bought the song this morning, watched the video and all I can say if her face looks stunning and other than her ensemble in black, her hair looks amazing in those shots too, especially the eyebrows and eye makeup. Everything else, I'll leave it there. During the Facebook live, Mariah was thanking someone by the name of Bree. Is she with the label or something? Also, has Mariah totally abandoned New York now? It seems LA is where she now is taking up residence. One thing I never thought I would see is Mariah giving up NY. I know she has t totally, but it's like she never goes back anymore. The cover is already getting dragged and I just don't understand why she so desperately has to look sexy and I hate to say it but Fredericks of Hollywood sexy instead of sexy without trying so hard. I take it back on the red dress shot, I'll take that over the official one. The mouth open pose, I can't. It literally looks like a porno movie cover. Sorry MC, not feeling it. Ok, I think I jumped on here to quick. I don't hate the cover after looking closer. I can honestly say this is the past professional we have seen in a long time and her face looks beautiful. I think what is throwing me off is the mouth being open. It might have looked better with a seductive stare or sly smile. Lol, I don't know but it does look like they got some stuff together on this. I Don't cover (71,857) by Mara from United States So is this red dress with the fire in front of the shot supposed to be the artwork for the single? It appears she has the ring on her middle finger as a ---- you to Packer in the pic. I wish she would have taken a classier route than this especially since it is documented on television and now a DVD how all the while she was engaged and wearing this man's ring she was flirting and whatever else with another man, including after her finance came to visit her and after he left. Unless, this was all part of the spiel from the beginning and Packer got what he wanted as MC puts it (business deals) Stella/MC (tv show, storyline, paparazzi, interest, whatever) and he never intended to marry her in the first place. I don't get why MC would take this route with treating Packer this way unless things didn't go as planned and he jumped ship so to speak before he should have, hence the cover for the single. Mariah has me so confused with where she is going with all this, I literally am at a loss when people who know what a fan I am ask me about her. Although a lot of casual fans were loving the show and would text me while it was on how they loved her and Tanaka. So maybe they got what they wanted in the end. (Tuesday 31 January 2017; 14:59)

Re: MW finale plot twist? (71,794) (71,812) by Mara from United States Ribbon my friend you are really on a roll today. I agree with all of what you are saying. That's why I love my daily check ins at MCA. I also think the lyrics I heard so far fit her and Nick a heck of a lot more than Packer. Who does she think she is fooling with how she loved him and how bad he treated her when she was seen totally up on he dancer all hours of the night and videos were posted on snap chat and what not. Also the fact that they were never alone, even down to the point of having "his and hers yachts". These lyrics are really nonbelieveable unless she went ala Butterfly on us with her Mottola situation. They really work much better for her and Nick though. The other thing since they played up this twist and wait and see with final episode, the thought of her spending time alone maybe contemplating going back with Nick crossed my mind and who knows if it was attempted, it may have but I also agree I don't think Nick wants to go back there. I noticed just by the clips last night and they were indeed sparse but he is there for the kids and that is it. I could see Mariah genuinely happy and herself in those scenes and he always makes her laugh even when she spoke about him on her most recent Today Show interview with Kathy Lee. She does look genuine when she talks about him, I did not get any sense of that from Nick. Then when I saw all the beach video being leaked I started thinking... no... it's the Tanaka thing. It was nice seeing Big Jim there in the final show group pic though. He tweeted last night it was a nice surprise seeing MC at the piano last night. (Monday 30 January 2017; 19:12)

Emotions is my absolute favorite MC album. Back then even her breathing between vocals sounded amazing. New song (71,746) by Mara from United States Well I am not sure what part of Mariah's voice we hear during the first snippet of the song, but it seems to be the only part of her voice she is most comfortable singing anymore. It's the part of her voice she uses when she improvises live at her shows or when she was on the behind the scenes WWHL and she sang on the spot. Whatever it is "technically" called I actually hate to say this as a Mariah fan since day one this saddens me but this part of her voice almost sounds unpleasant to listen to. I don't know what happened and as we fans often compare different eras of her voice. It is crazy that it is really sounding and again I hate to say this but unpleasant to the ears. I love Mariah and yes, I will always buy and support whatever she puts out since there will never be another that I can say had a song to comfort me in any aspect of my life. Therefore I will in return be there for her. It does lead me to be concerned though that years of drinking is really showing its effect on her vocal chords and her possible lack of sleep and any new or possibly old "bad habits" are affecting her as well. If Mariah wants to keep going as a singer I really think she needs to take care of her golden instrument a little better and it does require a certain level of discipline and possible lifestyle changes on Mariah's part and nobody else. The people around her however should also try to follow similar behavior if the singing side of things means anything to any of them anymore. After all, there is a tour coming up that does require some use of that instrument we hope at least. (Sunday 29 January 2017; 6:29)

New pics / Tanaka (71,677) by Mara from United States I have to admit I am loving this casual Mariah in recent pics. I think this is as casual as we will see her again. I used to like the way she would dress on off days during the Rainbow and Charmbraclet days but this is the closest to casual we have seen her in a long time. It makes her look younger when she doesn't always glam it up. Just seeing her do normal things with the kids like taking them to karate or gym class or whatever is very refreshing. Even though she still has an entourage, it's refreshing not seeing Stella and her daughter tagging along with her big purse and iPhone in hand. Whether it is real with Tanaka or not, it is nice seeing her do what us normal people do like go for yogurt ad what not. Tanaka does seem like he is good with the kids and I gotta wonder how that makes Nick feel seeing that but this is what happens when people divorce with kids. Although it's not always public as this. I know we are thinking this is all fabricated for the show but if this is not real at all, that means MC is alone and lonely and I hate to think of anyone that alone being since we know what is going on with family and how the only people around her seem to be the ones that are paid. For Mariah's sake, if he makes her happy, I say enjoy it. I really don't know what to make of it or what the kids are told as to who he is but it's no business of mine and it's just nice seeing her do normal things without the manager and crew tagging along at every absolute outing personal and not. That was what always led me to believe the James thing was not real. Meaning why would she want a third wheel tagging along if she was happy with this man? That and the fact the kids never interacted with him. Maybe this is real and that is why we don't see Stella everywhere and her doing more normal things with Bryan and the kids. I hate to say it but I think Mariah sees Nick in Bryan and she is replacing what would have been with Nick and the twins with her and Bryan. Going back to the scenes we saw with Roc on Tanaka's leg and she was just staring at them. Maybe I'm reading too much into this all, but I just don't want to see anyone all alone with no real family, friends, partner. I know she has her children but her life just seems very lonely and like if you take away the paid help there are no real people around her anymore. (Friday 27 January 2017; 16:27)

Thy showed James there at the dinner and MC has that black dress on. Isn't that the same time these cell phone videos were leaked online of MC, Tanaka and Anthony all dancing up on each other looking very close? I remember seeing these leaked cell phone videos and MC even is caught saying you are not getting my body or something like that. If so, James was there. So what does James leave his fiancé in Paris when he comes all the way out to see her and leave she early or who knows since MC stays awake until 5am anyhow (apparently Mishka does too according to MW) but James leaves his fiancé, she stays back and continues to party with the dancers. This all is so unreal. I really wish she would resolve whatever hurt she is obviously going through from the divorce and get away from the entire circus. Problem is and she said it herself, she has no real family and considers this life, her family. I honestly don't know where this situation will end up right now. (Tuesday 17 January 2017; 4:52)

New MW clip (71,206) by Mara from United States So the latest clip of MW is out and can somone answer a question I have in comeplete sincerity? In the clip you see Monroe trying on her dress for the wedding and we see Mariah the mother gushing over her beautiful little girl, very nice moment. Then we see Mariah, supposedly trying on her gown for her final fitting before her wedding to Packer. Why then, do we see Tanaka planted there looking unhappy? Wasn't this when MW was to be focused on the storyline of her wedding to Packer and touring at the same time. I would think the final fitting for your gown would be a private moment and forgive me, but why have your dancer there for that. He looked strangely out of place. Was this the plot they were going for all along? As a back up? To stir things up? Was this scene just edited in to look like he was there watching? Does it look that way to you guys? I mean at this point we know it's a staged mess, but I don't know where this can go from here. Where is the footage when we saw cameras following MC around and she went to that Elton John fundraiser looking so beautiful in that black dress. We need more of that, the superstar side. Latest Stella interview (71,186) by Mara from United States MimiL do you have a link to the latest interview Stella did? I can't believe it was brought up again about what Tommy said. Maybe that's why she wanted Mariah to take a break from social media? This is getting a little out of hand. I understand she really is into portraying th female BossLady attitude but c'mon at this point it's becoming embarrassing. I can start to think her attitude is a turn off to professionals wanting to even work with Mariah. She thinks nothing of bashing people in a "high school tough girl" type of way instead of a professional in charge of Mariah Carey the legend's career. I don't think she should be banished so to speak from Mariah's circle but step aside and give the PR portion to someone that can come across a little more polished. (Thursday 12 January 2017; 5:27)

Cameras (70,917) by Mara from United States Does anyone know if there were cameras following Mariah around on NYE? Didn't Stella mention in one of her interviews that they have it on camera that the earpiece wasn't working? I seriously hope this will not be a focus on a Mariah's World season 2 to get viewers. I'd imagine the coverage would draw people in to see this disaster play out behind the scenes. Just seemed strange that we saw photos of MC doing rehearsals this time when we never see her do any rehearsals, especially released pics, like they were ready for a counter argue. Even in the Ryan interview when he asks her if she is ready and she looks at him and says "Me?" and laughs. Then the fallout, Anthony being fired. I don't know. I think reading in to too much and this story never seeming to die down at almost a week now has gotten to me. Just curious if I was alone on that or if Stella did say she had it on camera the earpieces didn't work. Imagine if Mariah did perform at the Trump inauguration. There would be enough material to cover a whole season. Whoa. In all seriousness I really hope despite the pic we got of MC with NC and the kids that Mariah is alright. Now we have the pics of Mariah going into the store herself non the less, why not have someone do it for you and the pics with glasses in hand or nearby. I really hope they are not pushing these substances on her. Sorry but damage control needs to be done now. Anyone know who Mariah PR people are now? Is that Stella and Co now too? I'm sorry Stella, I'm just going by how you put yourself out there. I'm sure MC would be terrified as to what Stella could say. However, at the same time Stella giving all these unprofessional responses, perhaps people wouldn't believe her or feel she has her own things to gain. James Corden (70,813) by Mara from United States On another note, James Corden came back live after the holiday break and it was his first show since George Michael passed away(still can't believe I typed that) and he clearly was a huge GM fan and was upset by his passing. He brought up how GM was the original Carpool K before he had an American show and how he sent out the tape of George doing it to all the celebrities and everyone passed. It wasn't until Mariah Carey got the tape and responded "If its good enough for George, it's good enough for me." I can't tell you how much I love her for that response and I can totally hear her saying that. She was such a fan. We all know after her, all these other celebs came out to do it and had even the advantage over her since they all were able to tweak theirs since her appearance. But this just makes me wish all the more that she would do some sort of tribute to George. If anyone should, it should be her. (Thursday 5 January 2017; 4:43)

That's why I was so surprised with his parting ways, as they looked like they were interacting well. But who knows, maybe all the press the dancers got with everyone mentioning how the da cars did so well and how did they hear and not her, maybe that mad her upset and he did "too good" so to speak. Tommy (70,810) by Mara from United States So it's all over that Tommy wrote some letter urging Mariah to get help and fire her current team and hire all new "professional" people. Also, patting his own back as to when he was with Mariah how smooth her career ran and skyrocketed. That may all be true as you definitely didn't touch the top pop princess at that time and her image was much better. However, Stella's response? If Stella is not going anywhere, I at least wish she wasn't so raunchy in her responses to the media. It's like she feels it's so important to show the world she is this "tough boss bi#%h" and it just sounds so unprofessional and low class. There are other ways to handle and present yourself and come across with more class. That is what bothers me the most about her. Now the world is seeing this, not just the fans. Maybe she should step down and nobody says she doesn't have to stay in MC's compmay but pass the job on to someone who has more experience with a star like Mariah and someone with more music experience. I even tweeted Big Jim about just Mariah, his piano and a tribute to George with "One More Try" humbly dressed and maybe at the end a choir. Literally nothing they can accuse her of lipping to. She needs this raw and now. The vocals would probably even be better than her recorded version since they sounded so chipmonk like in the album. The good thing about Grammy tributes or other ones for that matter is she doesn't even have to be on stage long. It could be her, piano, a few lines and not even the full version of the song since it's a tribute and it will get the public the point. And as the op has said, George there in the background.
