I like the message behind it, I understand why it didn't do great as she's only technically featured on the chorus and the performance at rocafella just highlighted that fact as she just showed her face half way through the performance. So that didn't help. Perhaps if she's titled it Rick Ross-Meek Mill-Mariah Carey Triumphant it might have got more attention. As I think more people were too busy discussing her lack of presence on her own single as apposed to the actual song. But who knows. Fantastic remixes too. Daydream is Mariah's magnum opus (103,484) by Andrew from the UK Part 4. He's the handsome sweet bloke that genuinely - genuinely - looks like that moment meant the world to him. And to be fair he handles himself far better than I have in front of her - especially given that he had Justin and Alan to contend with. "Oh, smurf off, Jamie" and "Come on down, the water's lovely" was very quickfire comedy and it was probably the funniest part of the show. To have dealt with that and still hold your own in front of that crowd and Mariah herself was impressive. To, further, seize the day and try to get down onto the set is nothing short of gobsmacking. Let’s hope that with the added confidence of looking her best she starts to focus on giving us some new music and working on those vocals. I really think Mariah should keep future new releases as simple as possible. Don't overthink the theme, lyrics, melody, production. Lately, too much time has been spent constructing a song that's current or relevant. Whereas, songs like My Prayer does the opposite, and in a good way. Beautiful song. It is the very first thing I heard from Mariah whilst my brothers - who had 'borrowed' the VHS from their friend up the street - watched it in the living room. I was just thinking and wishing if there were any unreleased songs that collaborated with Clivillés and Cole. I always used to love this side of her in the early days. It was such a shame that David Cole passed so young into Mariah's career as I feel that both David and Robert had a good bond with her. I love how much Mariah holds Music Box close to her heart and the memories. If only all parties involved could forget the past and get together just one more time.
