Observation (102,434) by Randy from USA As tired as you are of us picking Mariah apart, we are tired of being told that we are not fans and we are evil people. Nobody's mad because MC doesn't have the same voice as 1990. Hell, she didn't even have the same voice in 1998. The real issue is the deception and the excuses. How did she go from saying publicly, :I would never lip sync" in the 90s to lip syncing most of her climaxes in 99 and beyond? And then not telling us what happened? I didn't want to do this on this board but a few years ago, I put together all of MCs excuses. In her own words. I don't ever argue without receipts. Oh and I still love MC. Mariah vs MC (102,399) by Jamie from UK Ok as a 90's fan of Mariah and a continued fan to this day, I've always struggled with Mariah and MC. Whilst I like them both I'm more swayed towards Mariah. I've always wondered what she thinks, as Mariah did she always want to break away and be MC, or now does she long to be Mariah again? I say this because she always says how controlled she was, yet now every opportunity she gets she shows pics etc of her earlier career. Watching her earlier videos she is so natural and composed something I don't think can be forced or mimicked. So I often wonder who is the the real Mariah/MC? Don't get me wrong I love both, but I often wonder what happened that made the drastic change, I don't believe it was all Tommy as he could have dressed her in all he liked, but like I said you can't mimic those natural early performances. I get people change, I've changed myself, but not so drastically like she has. I always wonder who the happiest one was. To me she looks more happy in the early Mariah days when she was more wholesome, but would love to hear your spin on things. This all came from watching ATYNAF from Proctors Theatre, which to me is one of her best performances. I'm not looking to be judgmental I'm honestly just looking for peoples spin on things as it genuinely interests me. (Sunday 26 March 2023; 01:52)

Someday AMA 1991 (102,357) by MusicfanJ from Germany "Confidence and charisma then." So true. Everything you said, I see it the same way. Mariah was unstoppable then. The whole 90ies. Every time I watch a clip from that time, I still can't believe. That talent, the look, the voice and yes her charisma. (It could have melt an iceberg.) I can't watch the "I don't" video, I've watched maybe seven times. But I watch all clips from the 90ies over and over again. It's magic. Mariah's shyness was the sweetest thing. Just adorable. It was actually quite scary to see the change. Mariah always said how shy she was back then, but looking back she actually had more confidence and charisma then. Maybe because she had the voice at her disposal. But it's easy to see why she became America's sweetheart back then, she truly was amazing. (Sunday 19 March 2023; 04:39)

Brenda K Starr (102,297) by Jamie from UK I just watched a virtual interview with Brenda K Starr from 2021, it was great to see her be so lovely and complementary about Mariah. It was nice to see how much she does actually care about Mariah although they have fallen out at times. She has nothing but praise for Mariah and wishes her well in all she does. I think it must be hard when you have been that close to someone and they are propelled into super stardom, as the artist doesn't always have control over their life. (Monday 6 March 2023; 21:06)

I recorded it from a download link on the old Mariah Daily website. Her vocals are phenomenal. He's credited and receives half the royalties every year. Get your degree and go write another hit if you're so pressed. Geez. Laugh your way to the bank and give it a rest already. Even so, we have our novelty acts. We have our nerdy white boys who somehow have a huge hit or two. Vanilla Ice, Marky Marky and the Funk Bunch. However, our nerdy white boy novelty acts last for one or two songs, one or two albums, one or two years. Not, five years? How is LadBaby about to have the coveted Christmas #1 for a fifth year in a row? I've watched a few videos. What am I missing? I think we just value Mariah's voice, legacy and music more than she does. She clearly cares more about how she looks, the bank balance, and her endorsements over her voice, her music, and her legacy. They were saying why would she need auto cue for a song she knows inside out.
