I like you Andrew. Where you a gifted student in school? I knew if anybody would call me out on my Caution Part 2 prediction it would be you. I know everybody thinks I am a little out there, but I just get so excited when Mimi hits the studio. If you noticed, I really don't comment on anything except when she posts that she is in the studio or album predictions. We all have our Mariah Carey specialization on this board. MC16 is coming in October this year. Lol.

Mariah in the studio (90,501)
by Bobby A from United States
| |
|
|
Mariah being in the studio over course of three months is making me think she has a huge surprise coming soon. She is not saying much as to what she is working on except what she said in Barcelona. I don't think now it has anything do with a Caution part 2 but restarting her career with her 16th studio album and the end of her Epic Records contract. Caution made people and critics take notice to her music again to critically acclaimed reviews. One thing we can say is that Mimi knows how to reinvent herself.

I hope she combines leftover tracks from Caution with six newly recorded songs this year released as Caution: No Hesitation. I would love to hear those Diane Warren, Bobby Ross Avila, and Nineteen85 songs this year.

Lil Nas X is going to be a one hit wonder for sure. I am so glad MC did not jump another remix of Old Town Road. I would rather have a new album this Fall. Johnta Austin confirmed on Twitter that new music is coming. Something is about to happen soon.

Sam Smith's dream response tweet or the Face App meme is my guess as to what caused the spike.

Sam Smith's dream (90,380)
by Bobby A from United States
| |
|
|
How many of you think that Sam Smith's dream is really him and MC eluding to the fact that they have been in the studio recently? He has never mentioned MC before and to dream about a release of an album that came out last November seems odd to me. Larrance Dopson and Timbaland did write Sam's Pray as well as 8th Grade. Could we hear a Sam and MC collaboration soon?

I love it. MC's tone during Daydream was beautiful and organic. We will never hear that organic tone in her voice again.

Caution Grammy chances (90,309)
by Bobby A from United States
| |
|
|
I wonder has MC thought about increasing her Grammy nomination chances by re-releasing Caution to put the album back on the public's minds. Didn't Dua Lipa re-release her debut for the same reason? This special project she mentioned in Barcelona has to be the re-release of Caution. I think she and Usher did a remix to One Mo Gen. Something is about to happen. Whatever it may be, I want to hear those JD, Johnta Austin, and Bobby Ross Avila tracks.

Mariah tribute album (90,224)
by Bobby A from United States
| |
|
|
A Mariah Carey tribute is long overdue. Just like Luther's tribute album, I would love to see Brandy, Boys II Men, Fantasia, Beyonce, Jennifer Hudson, Trey Songz, Usher, Chris Brown, Ledisi, Adele, Justin Beiber, Ed Sherran, Angie Stone, Shawn Mendes, Sam Smith and Jill Scott all make a MC ballad their own at their vocal ability. I would love to hear Angie Stone's take on Mine Again and Adele's version Cry. Brandy and Boys II Men would bring tears to my eyes on One Sweet Day. Sam Smith would tear up Love Takes Time. Fantasia would bring it on We Belong Together. Where is JD to make this happen for a Fall release?

I was thinking in my sleepless slumber at the pool today. MC's greatest emotional ballads where she really shows emotion when singing the lyrics. Here are my top six. 1. Love Takes Time 2. We Belong Together 3. Music Box 4. I Don't Wanna Cry 5. Butterfly 6. One Sweet Day

With the news this week that Scooter Braun bought Big Machine Records and Taylor Swift's masters, does MC own her masters? Taylor Swift is smoking mad.

Caution part 2 (90,154)
by Bobby A from United States
| |
|
|
It seems strange to me that MC would jump right back into the studio twice eight months after releasing Caution. The only explanation is that she is getting ready to re-release Caution or deliver Caution Part 2 with new and remixed tracks. She did say at the Barcelona concert she was just in the studio for something special. And Usher is captured in a picture in the studio with MC. I hope they remixed One Mo Gen with new vocals with Usher. Something is about to happen in the next month or so with Caution.

The Distance (90,151)

This is the perfect time for Epic to release The Distance as the official 3rd single. It is the perfect summer song. Disclosure and Kygo remixes would be sweet too.

Max's Love Me Less (90,140)
by Bobby A from United States
| |
|
|
Why does the singer Max remind me of MC's vocal technique, ad libs and runs? He really shines through on Love Me Less and Worship. He does the vocal note hand movements with his painted nails like MC too. Check out his live videos for Love Me Less. I think we have a true male clone of Mimi.

I have been out of the loop with the board for a couple of days. I moved back to Atlanta today. Texas just didn't cut it for me. Mariah and Usher pictured in the studio together. This is epic. Maybe she is working on MC16. Didn't the Epic deal obligate her to produce three albums?

Caution looking pretty (90,010)
by Bobby A from United States
| |
|
|
I was looking at Caution sitting on the shelf today looking pretty among other great R&B albums. The cover really stands out. It is really a classic album from MC. Her vocals and ad libs show that she is the queen of making sure every little vocal technique shines through on every song. I just feel like she was trying to go for that Alternative/Throwback R&B sound. And it worked for MC this time. We won't get MC16 until 2021. If Katy and Taylor can make-up, then surely Walter A. and MC can reunite for the return of those beautiful ballads from the 90s. It may happen. I am praying for it.

Studio session in Barcelona (89,919)

MC announced during her Barcelona concert that she was in the studio the night before. I hope she is planning a new Christmas album this fall. It makes perfect sense to capitalize on the 25th anniversary of Merry Christmas this year.

Top favorite vocal tone eras (89,918)
by Bobby A from United States
| |
|
|
I was listening to MC's SNL performance of Touch My Body today. I just love her tone this era. Although, her vocal range was showing some wear and tear, she still demonstrated excellent vocal tone and technique during this era. So my top two favorite vocal tone eras are E=MC2 and Charmbracelet. Her vocal techniques and range make me smile every time when I listen to Charmbracelet.
