About Bobby A from United States: I have been a Lamb since 1990. I know Mariah. I love her music. I breathe her music.

Everytime I Close My Eyes (86,432) by Bobby A from United States
This is one collaboration no one hardly talks about. One of Babyface's greatest songs and MC did the vocal arrangements. There are four remixes out there by Soul Shock & Karlin, Raphael Saadiq and producer extraordinaire Timbaland. Timbaland's remix is the best one. And I have all four remixes in my collection.

Re: The promo tour (WWHL, Fallon, GMA) (86,383) (86,429) by Bobby A from United States
This week has to be the best start to a new era since the TEOM era. I really feel some great things are going to happen in the next few weeks to end 2018. I hope MC picks Joseph Kahn, Diane Martel or Billie Woodruff to direct her next video. Has anybody noticed the ad libs and background harmonies on 8th Grade? I can't wait to hear 8th Grade on vinyl. I have these vintage 80s speakers that really bring out the full recording sound from my vinyl records.

Webmaster, I am so sorry. I am really good at reading the news section before I post. It dawned on me after I posted that I didn't check the news section first. Can you forgive me? I didn't mean to make you mad at me. I will be more diligent in checking before I post. Again I am sorry for my stupid mistake. Thank you for MCArchives.

New Rolling Stone article (86,408) by Bobby A from United States
Rolling Stone has a new article on the web about Mariah taking back control for Caution. This article really explains how Caution came to be in our hands today. Checkout it out. I wish I knew how to link it to my post. Somebody tell me please.

This is going to be Epic. Yes. Yes. I bet JD is just smiling saying I got this one.

Re: A lengthy meditation on the album (86,306) (86,340) by Bobby A from United States
I reread your post again. I can understand how you feel, but every artist has to evolve as the music industry changes. MC is just leading the evolution of R&B music into the pop arena. Who's still in the game like MC from 25 years ago? Let's see what type music she releases when she is 50 years old. How much will her voice have changed from 2018?

Re: A lengthy meditation on the album (86,306) (86,310) by Bobby A from United States
Let's look at Caution's as Mariah Carey's debut album. I try not to think about her as artist who was once this huge vocal powerhouse from the 90's whose pengame was well ahead of her peers. She is putting out R&B music that is filled with hip hop lyrics and rapid repetitive style singing. This is what she is most comfortable with at this point in her life. I believe she is going to bring something different when she performs the album on the Caution World Tour. I am predicting huge things are coming in 2019 like Caution Part 2, a making of Caution DVD, and a DVD of the Caution World Tour. We have to hear those JD tracks in 2019. Can you imagine the things her team can do to the stage set and dancer performances on this intimate tour? Remember how good she sounded on the intimate Angel's Advocate tour. The 90's MC is gone from her mind at this point. Embrace the R&B Mariah because she is here to stay.

Re: Caution next single should be? (86,295) (86,303) by Bobby A from United States
MC needs to move fast with sending The Distance to Rhythmic and Top 40 radio stations. And send A No No remix with Lil Kim and Cardi B to Urban and Hip Hop. If she doesn't do this, Caution is going to fade after Christmas CD sales.

Re: Understocked album (86,300) (86,302) by Bobby A from United States
I mentioned last week that a physical copy would be hard to find in many retailers. The Target store I purchased mine from in the DFW area had to be asked by me to put it on the shelf. Call your local Barnes and Nobles or check back at Target since they will be selling Caution for $7.00 through Black Friday according to Mariah's Twitter. Epic must be sending more copies to Target stores for Black Friday. FYE in the malls has copies for $9.99.

Re: 8th Grade (86,271) (86,280) by Bobby A from United States
This song called 8th Grade is killing me with every listen. MC and Timbaland creative a song that so darn good. And Portrait evokes MC and Big Jim at the piano.

After this promo week (86,274) by Bobby A from United States
What is next after this promo week for Caution? I was hoping for a second single annoucement this week. I just hope the Caution momentum doesn't stop. Too bad we don't have a Touch My Body right now to drive album sales and radio spins. Maybe a plan will surface we dont know about yet.

Re: Giving Me Life (86,216) (86,223) by Bobby A from United States
I think you are right. Blood Orange is featured on Tinashe's Bet as Devonte Hynes. The song has an amazing breakdown with an awesome guitar solo just like Giving Me Life. Devonte Hynes produced Bet as Blood Diamonds. So funny. I wonder why the name change. Maybe because of the human interest story in Africa having to do with killing of people because of diamond mines. There was a movie made about it.

Caution album (86,208) by Bobby A from United States
This album gets better with every listen. I think the albums really kicks in after A No No. A real slow jam quiet storm type of feel to Caution. 8th Grade makes wonder why in the heck did it take 20 something years for MC to get a Timbaland track on her album. If there is a Part 2 next March, will it be 10 brand new tracks or a deluxe edition with additional tracks? I am anxious to hear those aggressive tracks JD spoke about and any additional Timbaland, No ID, and Poo Bear tracks. I really hate when Portrait concludes with a such soft climax. It leaves me wanting more from Caution.

Giving Me Life (86,203) by Bobby A from United States
Why does Blood Orange receive a feature credit? Is that one of his requirements as a producer to get a feature credit? He has the same feature credit on John Legend's latest song. The title slips my mind right now.

Re: Portrait (86,151) (86,153) by Bobby A from United States
She got very emotional towards the end of the song. If you listen closely at the end, you can hear where she is about to cry. The voice will crack when you are about to cry. Portrait is one her saddest songs ever. One of my album favorites right now. It makes me wanna cry because I can understand what she feeling in the song. I walk around everyday feeling like people and family members don't like me or understand me. I can tell that I rub some of you the wrong way. I am sorry if I do, I don't mean to. I overcompensate in a lot things that I do or say to make people like me. I reflect everyday on the portrait of my life. Please don't judge me.

Re: Runway (86,109) (86,123) by Bobby A from United States
So true. I hope MC does more songs with Lido and Skillrex. These two have given MC a fresh new sound. And it works with her current voice. Runway is pure brilliance. I have never heard a more perfect mix of R&B and Pop. Can you imagine the dance remixes? Wow.

A No No lyrics (86,106) by Bobby A from United States
Has anybody noticed that "regardless" is printed in the lyrics instead of "irregardless"? So funny. Lol.

Re: Robert Anthony (86,079) (86,105) by Bobby A from United States
Thank you. I see your point of view. I was just hoping for a huge bop in Stay Long Love You. I could barely understand Gunna. It will have to grow on me.

Re: Caution tidbits (86,075) (86,080) by Bobby A from United States
It's not early 90s. It is definitely a throwback to Lullaby from Charmbraclet. Same bass line and drumkick melody. Right?

Re: Caution tidbits (86,075) (86,078) by Bobby A from United States
No, I don't think so. Early 90s MC?

Caution tidbits (86,072) by Bobby A from United States
1. Portrait sounds like it could fit perfectly in a movie scene. It is the song MC was referring to that she needed to finish with Daniel Moore during her last visit on the Jimmy Kimmel show.

2. 8th Grade has Aaliyah written all over it. She could have easily recorded it in 1997. I love the Timbaland ad libs and breakdown near the end of the song. Pure perfection and so Timbaland when he says "C'mon MC" and "Baby Girl" - Aaliyah tribute for sure

3. Stay Long Love You - Why does this song sound like Things That You Do with Jay Z? I am not feeling Gunna's contribution. Drake could have given more life to the song and the production.

4. I wonder why not one JD/BMC/JA aggressive track. I am kind of bombed about that.

5. This is the first MC album where each song is co-produced by a different producer.

6. Multiple songwriters on each song. All of them give her a fresh sound and arrangement.

7. I wish more Nineteen85 tracks had made the album. His production style is Hot. Hopefully more is coming with a part 2.

8. GTFO video cinematography is just like one of the videos of Nineteen85's group Dvsn. Check out the video for the song Mood.

9. I hope part 2 is coming next year when the tour kicks off.

10. Caution shows that MC can work with any producer of any genre of music and craft a great song. I would have never thought of her working with Lido, Wondur Girl and Skillrex in a million years. Just think what masterpiece she could come up with if she worked with Max Martin, Greg Kurstin, Ryan Tedder, Ashley Gorley, and other pop country songwriters.

11. Now I understand why we only received 10 songs. MC is making a statement of being relevant and a genius. Cohesiveness was the goal of Caution.

12. Giving Me Life sounds like another MC song other than The Roof. I can't put my finger on it right now. Somebody help me. But I love the song and the production.

Caution review (86,043) by Bobby A from United States
My favorites are:
1. Caution
2. 8th Grade
3. One Mo Gen
4. The Distance
5. A No No
6. GTFO
7. With You
8. Giving Me Life
I am really trying to like Stay Long Love You. I think it is gonna take a random play during my workout one day to like it. We will see.

This is her most coehesive album since TEOM. Caution is another career defining album behind Daydream, Butterfly, and TEOM. She put her heart and soul into this one. My surprise producers are Fred Ball, Timbaland, The Stereotypes, Skillrex and Lido. We had no idea she had been the studio with them. Great songs with them.
