About T from USA :

Oh Santa on iTunes (96,811) by T from USA
Song quality sounds great on the iTunes version also. Way better.

Re: Kelly? (96,780) (96,783) by T from USA
It's just so not MC's style. Usually she works with those she knows and likes first. But here we are now and it should be great.

Kelly Clarkson (96,774) by T from USA
Watching the 88th annual Christmas in Rockefeller Center and seeing Kelly Clarkson perform her new Christmas song has me wondering if it was supposed to be Oh Santa (ft. Kelly Clarkson & J-Hud)? I mean these things were planned last year shortly after appearing on the Voice with both girls. I wonder if Kelly doing her own Christmas projects meant she couldn't do it? I know it's a long shot and we'll never actually know the inner workings but Ariana seems so random and if the song was arranged with a powerful voice like Kelly's then it would make sense that she would have to fill in the spot with someone equally as good.

JD produced the new Oh Santa (96,769) by T from USA
He just tweeted about the song on December 4. I guess that takes away any chance it will have more of a pop leaning sound. It will be totally urban, maybe even more so than the 2010 version. Especially where Mariah's head is at in proving how black she is and if [Save the day] is any indication, all hope is lost.

Marc Shaiman Oh Santa (96,757) by T from USA
Wouldn’t it be great if Marc Shaiman co-produced Oh Santa and gave it that timeless girl group pop sound ala AIWFCIY and Christmas Time Is in The Air Again. The original could be seen as the JD urban mix.

MCIIY duets album, hypothetical tracklist (96,672) by T from USA
If she wants to really put MCIIY into the spotlight she should re-release it this year on its 10th anniversary as a duets album. Here's how it could be done:

1. Santa Clause Is Coming To Town (intro)
2. Oh Santa (ft. Ari & JHudd)
3. Little Town Of Bethlehem (ft. K Clarkson)
4. Christmas Time Is... (ft. Micheal Buble)
5. The First Noel (ft. Toni Braxton)
6. When Christmas Comes (ft. John Legend)
7. Here Comes Santa Clause (ft. JD)
8. Charlie Brown Christmas (ft. Snoop)
9. O Come All Ye Faithful (ft. Pat)
10. O Holy Night (ft. Celine Dion)
11. One Child (ft. Beyoncé)
12. Where Are You Christmas (ft. Faith Hill)
13. AIWFCIY (ft. JB)

It would fulfill so many of our duet dreams and at the same time catapult MCIIY into the stratosphere.

Should've been the second disc.

Last check the album has sold 605,000 on pure sales alone. Once you factor in streaming it must be very close now?

Re: Through The Christmas Rain (96,509) (96,534) by T from USA
Is it the same little jingle at the beginning? As if she uses Christmas music to help her get through the rain?

Re: Walter Afansieff (96,525) (96,529) by T from USA
I can only imagine what Caution would've been (Butterfly part 2) if Walter produced "Portrait" plus two more songs to make it a twelve track album. For example (just for the imagination):

1. GTFO
2. With You
3. My All (soundalike)
4. Caution
5. A No No
6. The Distance
7. Giving Me Life
8. 8th Grade
9. One Mo' Gen
10. Stay Long Love You
11. Underneath The Stars (soundalike)
12. Portrait

Re: Where I Belong, it's a hit (96,486) (96,490) by T from USA
It’s great and the best part is non lambs like it more than lambs. Which was the same for IKWYW at the beginning. The general public could really get behind this the only question is will the video sink it. Mariah looks way better now (although four years older) and Busta is in a lot better shape too but I doubt they would spend money twice for a video.

Where I Belong should be a single (96,470) by T from USA
Get on your socials and tweet, Instagram etc Busta so he knows how popular a choice Where I Belong would be when he's thinking of a second and third single. He's got lots of talent on his album let's give MC some spotlight. Would be cool if it precursors to a great album like IKWYW did.

Vote for Mariah in Goodreads Choice Awards (96,438) by T from USA
She's in the Best Memoir category. This could be a huge win for her.

Re: New album (96,431) (96,434) by T from USA
I would like one more full length album eleven tracks (ten was almost perfect but a tad short). Her first album was eleven tracks so it would be a full circle moment. I'd hope she would focus on jazz and urban a/c music and have no features. Just her and her voice. After that she can do just legacy stuff and Christmas. But I would feel cheated if she doesn't do one more in the studio.

Re: The duets (96,152) (96,175) by T from USA
This is a great idea. It could be two disc with the second disc being duets from the past (to give it the credibility of some big hits).

Disc 2
1. I'll Be There (Trey)
2. Endless Love (Luther)
3. One Sweet Day (Boyz II Men)
4. Beautiful Ones (Dru Hill)
5. When You Believe (Whitney Houston)
6. How Much (Usher)
7. Against All Odds (Westlife)
8. Thank God I Found You (Joe/98)
9. Want You (Eric Bennett)
10. Yours (Justin Timberlake)
11. Angels Cry (Neyo)
12. It's a Wrap (ft. Mary J Blige)
13. #Beautiful (Miguel)
14. You're Mine (ft. Trey Songz)

Re: Song replacements (96,134) (96,140) by T from USA
I would've definitely had Cool On You on EMC2. As for MIAMTEC I would've done a pretty big overhaul (to bring out throwback sound even more):

1. Cry
2. Faded
3. Dedicated (ft. Nas)
4. #Beautiful (ft. Miguel)
5. Make It Look Good
6. You're Mine
7. You Don't Know What To Do
8. Thirsty
9. Mesmerized
10. Lullaby Of Birdland
11. Meteorite
12. The Art Of Letting Go

Re: Trash (96,039) (96,043) by T from USA
Well at least it puts to rest all the fans wanting a Mariah/Celine duet. It was never going to happen anyway as Celine would murder Mariah in the vocal department these days. Mariah could write and produce a track for Celine however. It's never going to happen, I think Mariah was secretly jealous of Celine since they were label mates during the heyday. Maybe Celine reminds her of her mother? A white woman who can actually sing. Maybe Celine reminds her of the half she doesn't like?

Re: Swan song (96,026) (96,030) by T from USA
Much of what you write is not wrong. She is different, she has changed but most people do over the course of thirty years. I wouldn't mind if she only releases one more studio album and then spends the rest of her career on legacy things. I've always had the sense that Mariah's story shifted a bit. I remember one time she was on the Rosie Show and Rosie had remembered her as a small kid because they grew up in the same neighbourhood and it felt like Mariah suddenly went terrified that perhaps Rosie would say something that would contradict her backstory. But I'm sure it was the awful upbringing that led to all the inconsistencies and insecurities. I mean, look at her other two siblings. #Beautiful was a great song. In my opinion Caution was a great album but it was not equivalent to anything from her peak. Had it been it would've charged higher and reached a large audience. The Rarities was just a way to make money on songs that were already done and just sitting there. No touring this year so she had to get creative.

Keep EP’s coming (96,028) by T from USA
I really hope she continues all year with the EP's and that we get some special treats for the Caution week eventually. As being her most critically acclaimed album I do hope there is one more spotlight put on it this year.

Re: Fave five The Rarities songs (96,003) (96,008) by T from USA
For them it's about reaching all the demographics leading to what they believe will result in greater sales. But ya it sort of kills momentum. It did for EMC2. (Although the opposite is true for TEOM, Daydream and Musicbox. Her biggest selling albums.)

Stream stream steam The Rarities (95,999) by T from USA
Let's all stream The Rarities a lot more. She can't loose the first week to a Dolly Christmas album in October. Let's grab her the #18 spot. (Possibly even #17.)

I’m talking about a moment in the book that involved a knife. I don’t think Walter was present. Cory Rooney confirmed he was there with TM and one other man.
