About Bobby A from United States: I have been a Lamb since 1990. I know Mariah. I love her music. I breathe her music.

Re: Mariah and Britney... maybe? (82,862) (82,865) by Bobby A from United States
Really the rumor is that it sounds like I'm That Chick.

Brittney and MC collaboration (82,860) by Bobby A from United States
If it is true, I didn't see it coming. It will be unique and unexpected for they both need a song to get radio airplay again. These two have so much in common: a public breakdown, bipolar diagnosis, last album didn't sell that well, and devoted mothers. Maybe the song is an empowering song about facing your struggles and being the best person you can be. I just wonder was it Mariah's idea for this rumored collaboration. Fall 2018 is going to be hot for new album releases. I have made a list with 20 expected artist releases for new albums.

Re: Robert-Anthony (82,837) (82,849) by Bobby A from United States
You are so right about an Epic/Butterfly Records release. I didn't think to check her page on Epic's website. However, there is a chance the new album could be a Epic/Butterfly Records and RocNation release. Didn't Rhianna leave Def Jam 2015 to form her own label, Westbury Road in a partnership with RocNation Records? In addition to artist management, RocNation has a record label division. It will be interesting to see which label's staff will receive A&R, marketing, creative direction and executive producer credit.

RocNation (82,831) by Bobby A from United States
I was checking RocNation's website this morning just looking at Mariah's page. I don't think she is with Epic anymore. The new album will be a RocNation release. I hope she gets the same album rollout that Rhianna's Anti received. This era is going to be pretty interesting because MC hasn't released an album since 2014. A lot has happened in her life since 2014. The new album title is going to reflect that.

Re: Mariah and JD (82,811) (82,814) by Bobby A from United States
Maybe JD and Mariah can create something like Ella Mai's Boo'd Up. This song is the surprise hit of the 2018. A top 10 Hot 100 hit and #1 on the Urban chart. And it was released in 2017. This is just the type of song Mariah needs as the first single. A song that connects with radio audience without being so much about Mariah's life.

Re: "That's about me" song (82,800) (82,801) by Bobby A from United States
I think it is long overdue. I have been asking for a collaboration since Mary J. Blige's Thick of It came out 2 years ago. I would be happy if DJ Camper handled the production too. I just tweeted MC, JD, and Jazmine Sullivan about doing a collaboration.

Re: "That's about me" song (82,779) (82,790) by Bobby A from United States
I can so clearly relate to Outside. I always felt like an outsider in my family. I just didn't know where I fitted in with family. Both of my parents rejected me because I wasn't planned. They gave all of their love to my younger sisters while subjecting me to negativity with harsh words and treatment. Music was my saving grace growing up. I guess that's why I connected to Mariah when she first came out. MC's music has always been my therapy.

Jermaine Dupri (82,788) by Bobby A from United States
I was kind of hoping MC wouldn't work with Jermaine Dupri this time around. But right now when it is already June and no first single, I believe she needs him right now to balance the album out. She probably has over 30 tracks dating back to 2016 to 2018. Now she needs that We Belong Together magic to let Jay Z listen for the green light to finalize the new album's tracklisting. I hope she calls in Johnta Austin and Jazmine Sullivan for some Jermaine Dupri studio sessions.

Re: Bruno and Janet (82,764) (82,767) by Bobby A from United States
I totally agree with you. She needs a current popular artist to get played on radio. She needs a Cardi B or Bruno Mars or even a Post Malone collaboration to make radio play her again. I would love to see a sexy ballad from Liam Payne or Zayn. I wish she would step out of her box and take creative chances with other artists. Remember how Migrate was huge with TPain. Without a huge - no, she didn't - collaboration, radio will pass on her singles again.

The Butterfly Returns (82,765) by Bobby A from United States
Mariah Is about to start the Vegas shows. And she is still recording the new album. She doesn't have much time left between the start of the Butterfly Returns shows until the Asia tour begins. So I wrote down all of dates and came up with June 6th [through] July 3rd and July 16th [through] August 20th as the time she has to finish working her magic in the studio. I haven't even mention that she has to rehearse for Vegas shows and Asia tour during this time too. How is she going to do all of this? It seems impossible but I am sure she is going to make it happen before September 21st (iHeart Radio) and October 7th (beginning of the Asia shows). Hopefully we will get the first single and album announcement by the end of the summer.

Daydream album (82,739) by Bobby A from United States
Daydream will always be my favorite Sony release. Lyrically, Mariah's best album. Top notch production from only seven producers - Dave Hall, Walter Afanasieff, Jermaine Dupri, Manuel Seal, David Morales, and Mariah sole producer and arranger credit on Melt Away. It only had 12 songs that showcased Mariah's growth as an artist, songwriter, and producer. 1995 was a great year.

Looking In 12inch (82,724) by Bobby A from United States
I was going through my MC 12inches last night. I forgot I had this Looking In/Rocket Man-Bside-Elton John 12inch. Does anyone else have this rare 12 inch? Looking In is set to dance beat. It really gives Looking In a different perspective. It was unofficially released through Sony I guess. The 12inch has a white label and album cover. I bought it from this mail order record shop in New York city in the 1997. Also, I bought from them this Mariah At Her Best Live CD (possibly recorded live during the Music Box Tour) which included covers of Just Be Good To Me and the Good Times television theme song. The sound is not that great but Mariah's vocals are on point. I made me a Neo-Soul Mariah workout playlist with some of her most underrated rarities and album tracks to hold me over until the new album. I wish I had a mp3 of When I Feel It to add to the playlist. To the moderator - thank you for keeping MCA on the web. I appreciate you.

(82,679) by Bobby A from United States
Five reasons Mariah hasnt had any radio airplay since #Beautiful.
1. She is older now.
2. Too many singles released in the past 5 years didn't have hit potential.
3. Lack of real promotion.
4. She forgot how to put out fun records for radio airplay. When was the last time radio had a Fantasy style record?
5. She hasn't worked with producers who consistently have Hot 100 #1's and top ten hits.
I really feel that a Post Malone collaboration over a trap beat produced by Frank Dukes or a Ed Sherran co-written and produced track could be winners for radio airplay.

iHeart Music Festival 2018 (82,656) by Bobby A from United States
Mariah is apart of iHeart Music Festival 2018 lineup. I can't believe it. The album has to be coming this fall. This year's line-up is the best in years. Kelly Clarkson too.

Post Malone and Vegas (82,633) by Bobby A from United States
What MC needs right now is a Post Malone collaboration. I know Post Malone, really? But it would be a unlikely collaboration out of no where. He is hot right now when everybody wanted to write him off 3 years ago. Frank Dukes should produce the collaboration over a trap beat where MC can get everything out in the open that has happen in the past 3 years in a fun upbeat victorious song. Make the public connect with her and like her again via Post Malone rapping in his scratchy voice. Radio would go crazy for it. Kind of sad to hear the Vegas ticket sales are low. People just don't want to go hear an artist sing the same old songs over and over again. Same songs different residency name. New music drives ticket sales. Look at Justin Timberlake selling out 2-3 shows in a city each month with a new album supporting the tour. Put an album out first and then announce your tour. That's just how it should be done. She just ain't selling 5 million CDs anymore. I hope her team is putting the pressure on her to get something out within the next two weeks. I tweeted MC about a Post Malone collaboration. Jimmy Kimmel is going to be really interesting Wednesday.

Jimmy Kimmel (82,617) by Bobby A from United States
Mariah will be on Jimmy Kimmel on June 6th to make an important announcement about The Butterfly Returns and more. I am hoping she is going to announce the first single and album title. This would be the perfect time to do it. No more missteps in this era.

Re: One song discussion with MC (82,594) (82,597) by Bobby A from United States
Thirsty. I am still trying to figure out who the song is about. I would ask her who was her inspiration behind Thirsty.

Super sexy MC (82,592) by Bobby A from United States
If MC loses any more weight, she is going look like she did when Touch My Body premiered. She is looking so sexy and beautiful right now. I am even motivated to drop a few pounds for the summer. Her video for the first single is going to be hot. She is going flaunt her body all over the video. You know she is feeling super confident right now. Her vocals should sound really good too. I feel a new single is coming towards the end of June so she can sing it during the residency. There sure isn't a song of summer contender right now. No More Tears Left To Cry - maybe so or not. It would be grand if MC held the song of summer title for 2018. Shut those naysayers down.

She lost that ring (82,582) by Bobby A from United States
Finally, Mariah is letting go of old baggage. This new album is going to be filled with a lot of Red Table talk. 1. The Ring. 2. Stella. 3. Packer 4. Damizza 5. Demi 6. Tanaka. What I find interesting with this album secrecy is that no one knows who the producers and beat makers are for the new album. Poo Bear is just a songwriter and vocalist. He never takes on the role of producer when he collaborates with other artists. Well, 2018 is proving to be Mariah taking her own advice of letting go. We better get a Ed Sherran collaboration with new album. He could become the one to replace Big Jim Wright with the ballads.

Re: Poo Bear (82,540) (82,556) by Bobby A from United States
Thank you for watching the video. Watching the video and hearing some of his other songs like 112's Anywhere and Peaches and Cream, and his song with Shirellx, Poo Boo is a genius with melody and simple lyrics and titles. He co wrote Pink's Love Is Such A Crazy Thing on her first album. E=MC2 shows on his discography section on his website. Being a protege of Scott Storch, I think he offered some non-credited contribution to Side Effects. Wouldn't it be interesting if his collaboration gives MC her 19th #1. Lol.

Re: Album delayed (82,546) (82,554) by Bobby A from United States
I am pretty sure the album is coming this year. What a perfect year to release a new album. The current state of summer music right now is that every song is sounding the same on the radio. July could come and she drops the first single, album title, and TV performances for promotion. She has to be finished recording the album by June, right? The Butterly Returns residency begins in the middle of July.

Poo Bear (82,536) by Bobby A from United States
Checkout out Poo Bear's YouTube video - Afraid of Forever/Let It Play. It is almost an hour video about him creating that next hit in the studio, his work ethic, family, and overcoming his personal struggles. Great video and informative. He is a workaholic and perfectionist just like MC. Lambs, I think we are in store for something really special soon. I have never paid any attention to the name Jason Boyd in song credits until now. I feel MC could have collaborated with anybody new, but his name was possibly pitched by Jay Z and his team as a starting point for a fresh new sound. I haven't learned how to attach video links to my posts yet, so just do a Google search - Poo Bear in the studio on YouTube. Once you find it, can you attach it with your next post? It is a must see video about Poo Bear.

New album (82,532) by Bobby A from United States
I read the May 22 Billboard article where Poo Bear confirmed that he is working with Mariah. I hope that he can create something special with Mariah that she hasn't already done with The Dream, Mike Will Made It, Hitboy and others. Maybe he can create several hits with her that will connect her with the younger buying public. She needs the younger buying music fans to get a radio hit. His work with Justin Beiber on Purpose really surprised me. I thought the album was going to be a flop for Justin but radio played every single released. I just hope she collaborates with Fred Ball, Pop and Oak, Babyface, Da Internz, Murderbeatz, Illangelo, and Kirk Franklin before she lets RocNation hear what she has done with Poo Bear. 7-8 songs sounds very promising for a new sound. However, no studio photos every week is not what I am used to. I want another song like Fantasy lyrically at least.

Trent Harmon (82,512) by Bobby A from United States
Has anybody heard Trent Harmon's new CD, You Got Em All? It is a brilliant debut. Trent is channeling Mariah on his beautiful ballad Cause I Do with the melody and his rich vocals.
