About Gee from U.S.A. (New York City): Me and Mariah go back like babies on pacifiers.

Mariah / Walter (87,198) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
The reason why their collaborations are in a different class is because of the chemistry between them as musical partners. But honestly Mariah the artist is so ahead of the class she has been able to make great music with many different collaborators throughout her career. From Big Jim, JD, Marc Shaiman, and the great collaborations on this new album it just highlights MC even more as the genius artist that she is.

Walter is very bitter, those sour grapes that he has been eating have not done him any justice. He wants Mariah to be boxed in which is very disappointing. You would think no matter what he would want to see her grow as an artist. But I am going to say he would not mind her growth as long as he had something to do with it. But since himself, or Tommy, are not a part of the equation any longer he does not like it. Honestly we as fans and supporters should be thankful that Mariah wanted to grow as a creative because she would not be around today had she decided to keep the same formula.

Walter A is full of shit. He is angry that since the Butterfly era MC has paid him dust. Yes they made some great memories and music together. But he is trying to get attention more than anything because no one is knocking on his door to work with him. He went from being associate/assistant and musician to MC's right hand man and how did that come into play because MC put the word in Tommy's ear about how they clicked and how she liked working with him. So Walter needs to stop with the dramatics and move on. It's been two decades since they have worked on anything else and he is just mad that he just like some others that he is no longer part of MC's success. After many of the fans read this interview I hope that they now understand that MC and Walter will never work together again, and respect MC's wishes for not wanting to work with him. He only reason to do this interview is get attention and press and make MC look bad because she is still the press conference while he's just a mere conversation.

Mariah can acknowledge who she wants and she does not owe anyone anything. Mariah is finally accepting her status and honestly how would you feel if someone or others were trying to create someone off of your legacy and trying to make it a competition were there is none? Scooter Brun started this and now that the results have been of modest success to say the least it egg all over their face. Again four albums later she can not get any multi big selling albums and #1 song based off of sympathy is not doing anything to help cement Ariana as a legend. She is an average pop star. She is nowhere in league of Taylor and Adele as far as sells and talent wise Tori Kelly is superior in my humble opinion but her team has not found a clever way to market her. Honestly what works for Ariana is that she still looks like a pre teen and her music appeals more to the younger demographic as well.

Christmas time in the air again (87,113) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
Is still a favorite of mine as well. MC and Marc Shaiman have created some great songs together as well. Hopefully they work on some more masterpieces together as they did with CTITAA.

B (87,111) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
Wishing you and your family comfort during this difficult time. Also I have to agree with you in regards to Ariana the comparisons to Mariah are quite weak at this point. They sound nothing alike vocally, musically on her worst day Mariah is still superior to Ariana. Four albums in and still Ariana has yet to produce a classic song or album so I feel like the media and both fan bases need to stop with the comparisons because it is like comparing apples to oranges.

Releases (87,027) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
To answer your question Robert Anthony, yes she has released albums in November and we must remember that from where MC was about 3 years compared to right now is a major step in the right direction. To be honest I am pleased she is getting her recognition from critics and her respect as a songwriter after all these years which something she has always wanted. Also she released a great body of work even when many fans doubted her which is an achievement in itself. Yeah she may not get the chart success this era but I am happy that she has her confidence back and she gave great memories this year that outweighed the bad. So no complaints on my watch.

Goodbye (86,936) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
Honestly I cannot say this is permanent because Andrew seems to do and say things for attention from what I have observed coming to this board for sometime but honestly I cannot say that I am sad to see him exit because even though he has strong opinions he comes off very disrespectful and combative towards a lot of other members of this messageboard and every difference of opinion does not need a nasty and sometimes vile response. Good bye Andrew hopefully you find peace away from the message board and learn to respect others as well.

Happy anniversary (86,836) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
I just wanted to give a shoutout and happy anniversary love to Charmbracelet which turned 16 years old today. This album contains some of MC’s best writing and storytelling at its finest. Even though the vocals for the most part on this album are subdued I appreciate this album for what it is at a time where MC was considered over and done she proved she can come out fighting and eventually come out victorious. This album was the set up for one of the greatest musical comebacks ever so I thank you Charmbracelet and happy anniversary.

Caution (86,822) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
To me honestly I don't get a vibe of anyone else but MC herself and it just goes to show you that even when she works with other collaborators she is in control because every song has a MC feel and touch but still sounds fresh and that is what I am loving about this album.

MC 1989 (86,821) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
MC and Beyoncé are two totally different people who choose to express themselves through their art whether it be music, and/or fashion. Last I checked MC has never been considered a fashion icon or anything close to it. I understand that times have changed where fashions have become a big requirement for some but it is not that deep. I understand that you may not like MC's Christmas tour fashion choices but no need to go off the deep end over something so pointless and minor. Anyway blessings to you and enjoy the holiday season and best wishes for a productive and prosperous new year ahead.

The greatness of MC (86,746) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
Funny how everyone keeps comparing MC of today to MC of her past just goes to show you how great MC is and she is in a class all by herself. Bravo MC for being truly one of kind.

8th Grade (86,745) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
This song is my jam hands down. Hopefully MC and Timbaland can get into the studio again and create some more magic because 8th Grade is definitely a step in the right direction.

A No No / JD (86,561) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
JD is credited as an associate producer but the main producer is Shea Taylor meaning JD made a minor contribution to the track production wise.

Why torture yourself (86,338) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
Honestly no matter what MC does personally or professionally some fans will be unhappy. But for me if everything she does annoys you or you feel like you have outgrown her and her music maybe it is time to move on and there is nothing wrong with that. No need to torture yourself anymore trying to hang around and your unhappy with MC and her choices.

Caution (86,230) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
This album is just short and sweet/ The second official single will be The Distance. I have a strong feeling about this and A No No will probably follow suit.

8th grade (86,199) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
I dropped out of school after jk but all jokes aside this song is one of the best songs MC has ever done. The breakdown is amazing. Her and Timbaland together created an amazing song. I would not mind them working together on more material because they really out did themselves with this one. I have to say I been playing this album nonstop and I love it more and more with each listen. MC definitely gave me an early Christmas gift with this new album.

For me (86,124) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
I really appreciate this album. It sticks to the formula and sound that MC is most comfortable with R&B and with splashes of hip hop but to me it sounds fresh, fun, and sexy. Honestly she worked with people who many of hoped for and the album still screams MC to me. I can also tell she is enjoying her relationship with Tanaka despite others' opinions and it shows with her confidence as of late. Long story short I am loving Caution.

Robert Anthony (86,122) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
I respect your opinion and point of view as well. I also appreciate your contribution to the message board even if we may have a difference of opinion on different things regarding our queen MC. Much respect to you.

Fallon (86,111) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
Loved the performance, her confidence was there and she looked so damn good. She sounded strong too, all in all I am grateful for everything she is giving with this era so far.

Robert Anthony (86,079) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
I disagree with you in regards to Drake at this point he is over saturated in the music world right now and honestly I am glad she went with someone who is not really known that is the genius of MC when she goes left while everyone else goes right, she created an amazing album with people that is so out of her comfort zone and the end results turned out great and that is what we should be grateful for. On another note critically the album has gotten the best reviews of any album she has ever done so I think that she is on the right track. Hopefully in the future she can work with Drake when the right time comes.

Caution (86,020) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
After having the opportunity of previewing four tracks before the release date I was unsure what to expect and I have to say that I am in awe because MC once again shows that her artistry is unmatched she is in a class all by herself. To able to work with some of today's biggest and brightest producers and still create an album that sounds like Mariah but still sounds fresh and current. I wish there was more because MC once again blessed us with a great body of work. [...] Honestly speaking after listening to the album as a whole I can say I all the songs for different reasons. Bravo MC job well done.
