The non-elusive chanteuse (46,434) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Mariah has been out and about in the open three days in a row starting on the 24th at Central Park. This is the most I have seen of her in years. She is basically being photographed every single day the last 3 days. And another common thing is in all these 3 days she has no makeup on, her hair is not done (she has the natural spiral curls and they are just tied loosely) and she is wearing slightly less comfortable clothes although the sky high heels remain intact (come on, you can't expect the woman to give up everything). She is probably trying to send a message that she is doing just fine. (Wednesday 27 August 2014; 13:24)

Bill (46,427) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Not only were the song choices on point, I liked the sequencing. Plus the list was fairly sized. I know a lot of us would love for Mariah to sing a lot of songs, but there are physical limitations. Some of the lists posted were really long. That would not be possible, and we all know Mariah has a condition where if she would try to sing too much, it would affect her voice. Plus it's not a one night gig, she'll be flying to several countries and have to do the same routine multiple times and that would really strain her voice. It's hard enough to do it, but its harder when one is singing Mariah songs. (Wednesday 27 August 2014; 8:50)

Random thought (46,426) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter So Mariah was spotted wearing a long red gown in France around June. This is around the time we were all jumping up and down thinking YDKWTD video was being shot. She had a white towel covering her chest, while she is entering a building. I wonder what was going on. If it was a random candid she obviously would not have a towel on her in public. It seemed more like she was either coming from or going to a shoot. Mariah not commenting (46,400) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I get angry when Mariah doesn't comment regarding her professional stuff like album and all, but I am actually fine with her not hitting back at people talking about her divorce. Hollywood is a bad place, they will put people on pedestals and then they will try to tear them down. It's better not to comment on the rumors about her personal life because it's nobody's business. I respect her for not going on throwing mud. Even Beyonce and Jay Z has been attacked with divorce rumors and the rumor mills went back and forth with "his fault her fault" situation. But they don't comment on it at all. What saddens me however is that I see many comments and gossip pages say it must be tough and exhausting to be married to Mariah Carey. That's sad, because we don't know her personally. We don't know how she is behind closed door when the makeup and the glamorous clothes and the big hair comes off. For all we know, she must be very normal and quiet and not demanding towards her family. I mean she may demand this and that at hotels, but she may be completely different with her family and close friends. (Tuesday 26 August 2014; 20:13)

MimiLamb (46,388) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I said she is either all smiles because she is genuinely happy or a "little" out of it. I don't see what's so offensive about that. The "little out of it" part is because some people here were saying she might go back to the Glitter era (which I said earlier will not happen). And during that time she had huge smiles on her face but we now know she wasn't really stable at that time. Now by not stable I meant emotionally so please don't go like "are you calling Mariah mentally unstable" because no, that's not what I meant. Sometimes I feel even the tiniest observation draws out the claws of people. I don't expect Mariah to make any comment, especially on TMZ. This is not her job, it's her personal life and if she chooses to never talk about it, I am more than fine with it. She owes us no explanation as to what happened in her marriage. And to the other person who said Mariah looked really good, yes, she did. She looked fresh and much thinner. And the no entourage moment also took me by surprise. She could have done a mash up of Thirsty-YDKWTD-Money. Beyonce did a 20 minutes performance singing each and every song from her album. I would have loved for Mariah to perform. Mariah on TMZ (46,365) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Did you guys see the clip of Mariah on TMZ? She is walking down the street with her nephew and no entourage this time. She was all smiles and putting on her hat, and the person asked if the split rumors are true, she kept walking but at one point she goes like "it's too hot to talk" and then the person is like we just want your comment and she is like "I never comment". Now she is all smiles, but I can't figure out if she is genuinely happy or if she is a little out of it right now. (Tuesday 26 August 2014; 0:02)

Lee (46,331) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I do hope that these are just rumors. It would be really sad if Nick's "statements" are really true. Whatever may be the cause of the divorce, they should not throw dirt at each other because at one point of time they made each other really happy. So I hope these rumors are fake. I would hate it if it turns out that Nick married Mariah for the fame/money because seeing them so in love kind of made me think (contrary to my initial doubts) that he did love her. Another thing may have happened is that he married his idol and got tired of the "human" Mariah, the real person. Which sucks, I think Mariah despite her flaws is a great person. What on earth? (46,298) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Ok so I found the quotes. Is this man for real? He claims they are not about Mariah and he mentions a hundred times that the quotes are from his book from 2011. So either the man is using the MC-NC divorce controversy to gain publicity for his book (judging by the 100 times he mentions "my book, the calling") or the man is directly attacking Mariah. (Since all the quotes are painting the woman in a bad way while making the husband almost innocent. The "wife wants 2 kids", [censored] all seems to directly hit Mariah where it hurts the most.) Someone before me posted some of the quotes, I found 2 more so thought of putting them together. "Here's a thing to talk about if the wife love sex and the man can't stand making love to her. What should that woman do?" "Here's a thing, if the husband says no lies, and the wife lies all the time, what should that man do?" [censored] "Here a thing, if a husband wants to have ten children and his wife only wants two children then what should that man do?" (Saturday 23 August 2014; 17:03)

Nick's dad (46,297) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Can anyone tell me where they found the quotes from? He claims it's not Mariah yet his point about wife wanting 2 kids and husband wanting 10 kids is exactly the things Mariah and Nick said. MC keeps saying she won't have any more kids because this pregnancy was very painful for her and Nick keeps saying he wants a big family with 10 kids. And did the father say that what happens when the wife wants sex and the husband can't bear to look at her? Um excuse me? "What happens when a man's father is a little too interested in his son's sex life that it gets disturbing?" "What happens when this man's career was taken to new heights when he bagged Mariah Carey and the woman's career went downhill playing house with him?" Honestly I said before that I won't blame any one of them (MC or NC) but these quotes from Nick on TMZ and his dad, if proven true, I won't feel bad about hating on Nick. Nick on TMZ (46,296) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Ok so the dirt throwing has begun? So "allegedly" Nick said that he was the one who ended the relation because he is concerned about Mariah's mental state and the well being of his kids since apparently the kids have shown that signs of being emotionally upset while living with Mariah. TMZ further claims that Nick is apparently playing a passive role in the divorce and asked his lawyers "to take the path of least resistance to end things possible". He says it's "toxic" to live around Mariah. Dear Lord, I hope to God this statement is false and made up and that Nick didn't say anything because if he did, it paints a very bad image of Mariah and innocent image of himself. I really hope for both of their sakes that Nick actually didn't make that statement. (Saturday 23 August 2014; 16:27)

Mariah the lyricist (46,268) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Can we just take a moment and be in awe of Mariah's talent as a lyricist? How does this woman go from mature heartfelt, pain filled lyrics like "I cry and cry while you laugh and laugh at the question, but I need to know" to dissing the crap out of a worthless lover "If we were two Lego blocks, even the Harvard graduating class of 2010, couldn't put us back together again". Then she'll get mushy enough to give teenage girls a run for their money (or well "mushy-ness") with a nice "got photos of us on my refrigerator, videos on my phone, boy I can't erase them, the first text I ever got from you still saved in my inbox and I read it time after time". Then she'll unleash the sexy on you "Tonight I'm gonna need all your attention, close the door, I wanna do things I probably shouldn't mention". The she'll make you cry remembering the loved ones you lost "And I assume that you have reached a better place, still I'd give the world to see your face" (that gets me every single time). She'll teach you that even if it's hard you sometimes need to let go of a loved one to see if they loved you enough to come back "Now I understand to hold you, I must open up my hands and watch you rise". And after you are down crying up a mess over lost love, "You'll change your mind and call my name, soon as you find they're all the same and when you find yourself alone, don't come back crying you should have known". When you are feeling super fabulous "them chickens is ash and I'm lotion" and when you are feeling like crap after looking at the mirror "Just be perfectly imperfect". And when you doubt yourself because people say you are not good enough "trying to get me down, but I won't face the ground, I will rise steadily, sailing out of their reach, oh lord they do try, how to make me feel that I, don't matter at all, but I refuse to falter in what I believe" while you spinning around in the apartment like Mariah. (I love CTTA, way more than Hero, it just raise my spirits everytime.) Anyways, I can go on, but my point is, this woman has such diverse songs and especially lyrics, it's like she has so many sides to her, while all the others just talk about how big their booty is and how they would like to be violated (hello Nicki). Jonathan (46,253) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Well let's just hope she goes down path number one (I don't care about the skinny part, but hoping she'll get stronger). As for path number two, it may not be something Mariah would do. Apart from 2001, I think Mariah kept her problems really private and dealt with it internally. Also, I think 2001 was a really bad year for her, not just for one but multiple reasons (the after effects of the problems with Rainbow, next, she just left Sony and had a lot of pressure to prove that she doesn't need a music mogul husband to stay at #1, followed by Tommy playing around with her project, then Glitter the movie, with which she probably wanted to make an impact in the movie business, was not going according to plan because she said she got scripts on the day she got to the set and apparently everything was really messy). These are reasons we know, there might have been plenty more. Plus she was young and not thinking straight when she went public with it hoping people will understand but it backfired. She learned her lesson, Mariah is smart enough not to repeat mistakes. But most importantly she is now more matured and has her babies to think about so she won't take any steps to cause them pain or embarassment. It's no longer just about her. The timing is bad I admit, but Mariah has known about it for months now (while we just got to be sure yesterday) and while it may still hurt as much as it did in the beginning, she might be in a little more stable state of mind right now than she was when the separation actually happened, especially now since she is ready to go on a tour. I would love it if she does it, and imagine how stunned people will be because they think she is so high-maintenance. But hey, even if she doesn't do it, I don't care, all that matters is that she is healthy and happy. Nick just took the challenge recently, so did a host of big names. (Friday 22 August 2014; 18:15)

AIWFCIY (46,237) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter So I was watching a promo for a currently popular TV show, it's called Pretty Little Liars with a main target audience of teens and young adults I suppose. And in their next episode which will lead on to their Christmas episode to be aired later this year, in the background there was AIWFCIY the original version playing. I am happy to see that. I wish more of Mariah's music was featured as background songs for shows like this so that would get Mariah the attention of the younger audiences (who are the people that mostly buy music nowadays). I saw many artists like Gaga and Beyoncé and many others let shows use their songs because once it gets into the heads of the teenagers they will locate it and buy it and in the process look for more songs in that artist's catalogue. Mariah, God bless her, has an incredible talent that even after 24 years in the business, still manages to write songs that can easily match up and set up trends. She can use shows and movies to get her songs to a more diverse group. Memoirs for instance would have been a teenagers go to album, it's so cute and mushy and romantic. I love Memoirs, it is mature at the same time there is an innocence throughout the album. Other Mariah songs would be equally popular with the younger generation of only they would know about it. E=MC2, Emancipation, Rainbow, Butterfly, Chanteuse. Come on. (Friday 22 August 2014; 16:09)

I do think compared to Mariah, it will be easier for Nick to move on. He's young, fairly rich and charming. Comparing to Nick with Robin Williams will be a mistake. Robin was in his 60s. He already passed the peak in his career and he probably had many reasons to be depressed over. He probably thought there isn't much left for him to live for. Which is sad. Yes, men can me very vulnerable. But I just think, and I stress on it that Mariah is "relatively" more vulnerable. She is gorgeous, she is filthy rich, but for some reason I feel she will be more miserable because this is her second marriage that failed and we all know she feels bad about her parents marriage not working out. Because she changed it up a lot and her voice was flawed in it, but that made me love it even more. There were cracks here and there but it sounded so genuine, like she was feeling the song. I really like the ending she did in that version. I also liked the version she sang at Good Morning America, where she was wearing the sparkling powder pink/silver gown, right before singing #Beautiful. She changed up the song and especially the second verse and ending and I loved it. I like hearing changed versions live. (Thursday 21 August 2014; 20:09)

MC and NC (46,191) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter It's really sad to hear the rumors escalating. There might be some truth in it. For the sake of the kids I hope it's not true, but if they are not happy together, there is no use forcing in on a relationship. I honestly thought around the beginning that MC and Nick was a mistake because he was years younger and immature and they got married just few weeks after meeting. But I was more than happy to be proven wrong and to see them together, so happy and so in love, I really did feel that they were meant to be together. I thought MC deserved it after years of being miserable. Now, if they are separating, I hope they do so on friendly terms and things don't get nasty. I do hope Mariah has a good support system around her right now because I believe she is going to be the more vulnerable one here, as she is after all a woman and she is much older. Nick is young and might be able to move on relatively easily. I remember long time back Mariah said that she wouldn't want to marry someone who is in awe of or loves "Mariah Carey" because that's not who she is (meaning at home she isn't the over-the-top diva and superstar). She said the person you see on posters and magazine covers is not really her so she would not want to be with someone who thinks of her like that. But love is weird and she ended up marrying exactly someone she said she wouldn't marry because NC always says MC is his "dream girl". He had a crush on "Mariah Carey". I wouldn't point fingers at anyone, I won't blame either of them. Atleast Mariah experienced love and happiness for a while. She deserved it and she has two beautiful babies, something she might not have had if she didn't marry Nick at that time. She might not have experienced the joy of being a mother at all. And NC seemed to be in love too and he seemed to take good care of her. So I hope people don't turn this into a circus. I am already seeing headlines like "She is difficult to live with" or "He has been cheating on her" or "She has been fooling around with younger guys" or "Nick's big mouth got them divorced". I think it's highly unlikely that she will do it but if she does, I will be pleasantly surprised. Mariah does surprise once in a while, like the way she wore a long gown in the pool or when she wore the yellow outfit during AI and wore it while swimming in the ocean. But no, you are right and I guess I'll get there eventually. As for the lyrics being promised, well you know how iTunes and Mariah had a twitter chat arranged for fans where Mariah was online for a while and fans could send in their questions? Well one of them was about the lyrics not being included and Mariah answered that she is aware of it and that she will be releasing it soon in the manner she wanted to. Now what manner would that be, no one has a clue. It kind of gave rise to the speculation that she maybe doing lyric videos or that like someone wrote here that she is holding back lyrics as a publicity stunt to get fans to go crazy over figuring out what she's saying in the songs and all.
