iTunes USA (44,134) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Wow Chanteuse is number 4 on the US iTunes charts (it was number 3 just a while back). US lambs please do your part and take it to number 1. I am hoping for a #1 debut, but in case that's not possible, our girl at least deserves this album to eventually top the charts. Money (44,063) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Wow this song really is catchy. Although it took me 3 listens (I skipped over the first 2 times mid way). I am in love with the chorus. Yes yes it's the clichéd money don't matter song but it sounds great. MC, Fab and HB did great. Faded is song I am obsessed with. It's so beautiful. I love it. Mariah really outdid her self this time around. I hope this album catapults her back to the top. She deserves it. Beyonce's hugely successful album (mainly due to the shock value) only had like about 5 good songs out of 17. Mariah's album is perfection. I can't wait to see her perform these and also very excited for what singles she chooses and music videos. I hope the videos are not along the same line as her recent ones. Someone please call Brett Ratner. Mariah said she has plans of releasing the lyrics in a different way. Wonder what she means. (Saturday 24 May 2014; 15:15)

Gilbert and G.G. (44,017) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Gilbert, yes you are right the song actually has been ruined. When I first heard Mariah was collaborating with R Kelly, I thought it would be interesting, then came the news that they will just work on the BGK remix and I was still interested because I absolutely adore that song (I actually love the whole album). I hope for a resung song, but like you said, it was a copy paste job. I really enjoyed the H.A.T.E.U. remix because it was completely different from the original ballad. The IAW remix also was not great for me because I didn't enjoy it, why does Mary need to sing that part? The situation is about MC. The deluxe edition is kind of a waste, I am sure she had many unheard songs she could have use (including stuff she scrapped off from the initial tracklist of TAOLG). G. G. Because that's a fake one with WBT mashed up with a rap which uses the words "Money" a lot. The real version is different. It's still really rap heavy, but Mariah's verses are not from WBT. Disappointment (44,012) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter So I heard the 2 remixed tracks from MOAIA in the deluxe version and I am a little disappointed. I was hoping that Mariah re-sang the song and turn it into a completely different song like she did with her previous remixes. But sadly her parts are the same. The guests just have their own verses placed in the song. Very much UOOMF with Nicki Minaj and Angels Cry with Ne-yo. R Kelly has a great voice but his verse doesn't even make sense. Talking about being date raped (well almost). And please, Mariah sings how she caught them "in my own bedroom" and he is going on about how he was at the other girl's house when he caught them. And his explanation about how he went there to meet the girl just "to chill" is supposed to make it okay? Jeez. And just like the previous song, Mariah says "to be continued". That part should also have been left out. It's fine in the original song, but not this version. So yes I am a little disappointed. (Thursday 22 May 2014; 21:28)

Supernatural and dembabies (43,991) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I would just want to start off by saying that song is beautiful. The lyrics, the production and the vocals, everything is perfect. Mariah has mentioned many times that it is a song she wrote for the twins. So that was sweet, the song is way better than the song Blue by Beyoncé. Anyways I know a lot of people are complaining over dembabies giggling throughout the track, but I honestly feel that their voices in the record makes it so personal. It's like Mariah is giving us a part of her life, showing us how she spends time doting on her babies. The song feels like a lullaby and I keep imagining the scene as Mariah putting the kids to bed singing this lullaby and they are giggling and singing along with her. It sounds really sweet. Another thing, Mariah keeps saying she started singing since the age of 4 and she also says that her kids have already started showing musical talents so maybe this was her way of showcasing/showing off her kids, proving she so proud of them. Also Mariah may have wanted to create a song, a special one, just for her twins and she included them on it so that years later they can look back at this song and cherish the memories. I think it was a great idea. People may not enjoy it but I loved it. (Thursday 22 May 2014; 12:06)

MIAM (43,970) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I gave the album a couple of more listens and I must say I loved it. At first listen, I honestly skipped some songs, but after 3 plays I loved it. I need some time to get used to OMT, Meteorite and Heavenly. Although I already partially like Meteorite. All the songs in the album are pure perfection. Shows how much emotion and attention she put in every line of every song. Flawless. Some people are complaining about her voice sound hoarse or whatever but I think it adds depth to her emotional songs, I like it when her voice sounds raw instead of super polished in the more emotional songs because that shows she is feeling every bit of it. This album is truly a masterpiece. A mash up of Daydream, Butterfly, TEOM and Memoirs. Now all she needs is to promote the hell out of it because otherwise such a gem would go unnoticed. iTunes chart (43,870) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter The album is slowly rising up the iTunes chart. Currently sitting at number 22. Seems like a lot of people liked it. By the way, Supernatural is so precious. So adorable. And the lines that Monroe sings at the end and the little conversation between Mariah and dem babies sound so natural. Single or not? (43,772) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Both the songs are great, and the theories suggesting that Mariah is performing new songs without releasing them to boost album sales. I don't understand why there was an official cover art for Thirsty ready the first time it was debuted? Was it the plan that it would be released as a single but then she decided to instead use the buzz as a way to boost her album? Like someone else mentioned, maybe she will release singles after the release of the album, and if fans have ideas about video concepts Mariah should be open to it because a good video attracts the YouTube views and can really help her achieve a #1 single. Although that might really be hard these days because Beyonce's much hyped lead single couldn't reach #1 even with the help of Jay-z and the weird remix with Kanye. (Saturday 17 May 2014; 22:29)

Multiple covers (43,740) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter So I was wondering if anyone else noticed it but the 3 different covers of Elusive seems to resemble some of Mariah's previous ones. Like obviously a lot of people noticed that the Japanese/Target edition is like Charmbracelet. But then the standard edition is very TEOM (with the golden hues around her and her outfit and the similar pose with her entire body in view). Finally the deluxe edition is very Mariah Carey (the first album I mean) as in the same pose, head shot (left side of the face), and strands of hair blowing over her face slightly. I don't know, just thought it was fun. I liked it when Mariah re-shot some of her previous photoshoots for Memoirs (although the innocence of the original Butterfly album shoot was replaced by the over sexualized outfit and a huge fake smile if that makes sense). iTunes chart (43,718) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter It seems like everytime Mariah performs a song or previews a song from the new album, her album steadily rises up the iTunes sales charts. Currently it's at 29 on US charts. A few days back it had fallen off the top 200 but as soon as the hype with Thirsty came about, it shot straight up to 39. Then it started falling again and today it's at 29. So MC should take note and promote the hell out of this album. Release YDK or Thirsty, keep attending shows and her album will stay in the top 10. Bill / buzz singles (43,626) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Lol well JD's words not mine. Infact I agree with you, I wrote several days back that everytime a single doesn't do well (and mostly due to lack of promotion) it is labelled a buzz single by Mariah's team. Like TAOLG, Triumphant. I mentioned before, if TAOLG wasn't meant to be a proper single, why bother with making a "unprecedented" worldwide same day release and give it a better cover than all the other covers of the album and singles. Even YME didn't get a good cover. Now that YM didn't perform upto mark, JD said it's a buzz single. Which is silly. They are trying to make it that #B is the first single, Thirsty (with a potential to crack top 10) is the second, so that all the under performing singles do not bring down the image of the overall album. So yes, I am with you on this topic. But I did love all the singles she released. (Wednesday 14 May 2014; 20:56)

Thirsty (43,618) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I don't care what people say, Thirsty combined with the new iTunes banner got Mariah's album back in the iTunes top 40 US album charts. So imagine if this song is properly released and promoted, how great it would be for the album. I'm a little worried though that is Mariah not going to release this a proper single. JD did say that this is the second official single, the first being #B. The rest are buzz singles. So I do hope there is a proper release and a banging video to accompany it. Like somebody else wrote, the video should be matured and hot like it's like that and get your number. I think TEOM has some of her best videos along with Butterfly. I also agree with Gilles, Triumphant is hated collectively by lambs whereas many non lambs love it. I really like it too. It is a great song and had a great video. The only thing disappointing was that it was released then as a lead single and was Mariah's first single after Memoirs and yet she had little parts. So maybe it's not great for a lead single after waiting for 3 years, but in all I really like the song. (Wednesday 14 May 2014; 18:53)

Divalamb (43,543) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I completely agree. If I remember currently half of this board was begging Mariah to release the hit boy track. There were numerous posts asking for Thirsty to be released since the day Mariah mentioned it on the radio interview. People were well aware that this was a club banger and has been trashing Mariah for not releasing a up beat song to take over summer, followed by mourning the non-release of Migrate. So now when she finally does what you all ask for you just can't be satisfied. One can't claim that she has been releasing the same type of songs from this album and say that this album will suck, she has bad songs. Nope, on the contrary, she has been releasing different types of songs. The raw ballads, the 70s throwback, the rnb and now the club banger. I don't think anything she releases will satisfy some people here. I liked both versions of the song. Others complaining about the production, well it's a club song, obviously we should expect heavy production. It's frustrating to hear lambs dissing everything she releases. You guys can't decide whether you want a ballad, a club song, an rnb/hip hop track or whatever. (Tuesday 13 May 2014; 18:57)

Thirsty post 2 (43,519) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter So I heard the song a couple of times. It's what she need. A club banger. It has flavours of Migrate, which almost all the fans wanted at this point so I hope people don't go complaining now and say they wanted a ballad. JD also apparently said that this is the official second single of Elusive. TAOLG and You're Mine were apparently buzz singles. Poor Triumphant has not been mentioned since 2012. Anyways I hope this song gives the necessary boost to Mariah's album and I hope this single rises up to the top. Her banner is finally up on iTunes. Thank God for that, hopefully will attract more buyers. I had to listen to the song multiple times because it's just a snippet and I like hearing a song from start to finish to decide if I like it. Manny / parody (43,502) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I have watched many parodies of Mariah, just for fun. There were some by Madtv, particularly the Heartbreaker remix video parody called Love Muffin, and there was one of Glitter called Gutter I think, and another of Through The Rain featuring Whitney called Not Insane. Again, these videos are just for fun. I love MC and respect her, but heck I think even Mariah wouldn't mind some of the spoofs. (Tuesday 13 May 2014; 9:49)

She can sing her new songs. And since WMA's are watched by people from different age groups especially the younger generation, she can attract the attention from them.
