You must not have heard her sing TGIFY during her last three Vegas shows, there was mid and high belts, ease in her voice, thick tone and no straining or roughness in her voice. I agree with what you said, it reminds of the scene in Dream Girls when Jennifer Hudson is mad at Beyounce because Bey was cheating with Jen man and when they were singing Jen was singing with her full voice and was drowning Bey's voice out. Just think of all the songs and remixes Mariah song and re sung, then think of all the songs she song that never saw the light of day, who knows it could be in the hundreds. She didn't call her home a prison for nothing. Sing sing anyone? I think that is what took its toll on her, imagine having to sing Emotions, Fantasy and VOL, and ANTYNAF over and over again and tell me that won't put a strain on you. There is a video on YouTube that shows that even though technically speaking Daydream was here best era there were a lot of problems with her singing such as vocal placement that in her previous era's was not a problem. Also I never can understand how you go from powerful and rich belts (95) to light and airy in (96). l think Mariah was having problems with her belting in 96, not really her range or ease with belting but more so with her power. Good example is Grammys in early 96, it was a great performance but she was straining vs OSD in later 96 during her concert lighter airier vocals not as powerful but less strained and more impressive. I think it caught up to her in 97, when both the power and the ease of belts was lacking sometimes because of vocal fatigue. But hey if it can happen to people like Sam Smith and Adele who Mariah can sing under the table. I'm not surprised if she had vocal problems to. (Monday 19 October 2015; 20:03)

I love Mariah and I was just thinking that when you are young you feel invincible. I sure Mariah knew she could hit any note see wanted to in her sleep, even when she was awake and sick back in the day she still sounded better than most today. Remember she said herself that she kept pushing her voice and vocals higher and harder to see what she could accomplish, even when her mom and some critics said she should take it easy. But imagine how you will feel seeing yourself very successful in the future but reality hit you that your invincibility that you thought you had now has some limitations. Megan Trainer (56,002) by Tevin from USA So I heard that Megan Trainer has cancelled her North American tour because of a vocal hemorrhage. What is with every new singer today, are they not being vocally trained properly? Sam Smith, Adell, Megan Trainer, John Mayer. Yes the have great voice and can sing, still they don't do the amazing vocal acrobatics like Mariah and Whitney and singers of the past, yet they are so plagued by vocal problems. This is a testament to how Mariah's voice has for the most part remained intact. (Thursday 13 August 2015; 12:51)
