However I would like to point out that the DFAU performance was actually amazing knowing that she suffered from technical mishaps. As the earpiece was not working she couldn't hear her own voice so she basically sung the song from her memory. That is why she received the standing ovation. One can see her pulling out the earpiece at a certain point and continue the performance without. I have to agree with many fans that I am worried about where her career is going. Furthermore I honestly miss the real Mimi. What happened to the perfectionist professional singer? She is surrounded by dubious people (I can't even mention her name any longer as I find her atrocious) who crave on her fame and fortune for their own benefit. Interviews these days are tedious and superficial. The outfits are proposterous and degrading. She has become a charicature. Let's pray she is not heading full speed to a Michael Jackson finale. The entire "moment" with JP is just odd. I do not want to sponsor any haters but Stella needs to go. I truly feel Mariah is used once again for the benefit of others. However one should understand that Mariah rushed into this record to finish off her record deal. Much of the work she started on for the movie that became "Glitter" ended up on this record hence the lacklustre outcome. I love AAO though. (Thursday 12 May 2016; 22:41)

She also released many other hit songs that did not make into the pole position. - Mariah has won 252 awards the world over. These celebrated her voice, her artistic vision and her songwriting skills. - Mariah has inspired most of todays female artists such as Beyonce, Rihanna, etc. to follow a career in music. - Mariah is respected as an artist by musicians who aknowledge the effort and amount of passion she puts into her songs. - Mariah has overcome many challenges and difficulties in her life, as a professional and as a human being. - Mariah keeps on inspiring girls, boys, women and men of any social class, race or sexual orientation all over the world to keep believing not matter what. Glad about the GLAAD Award (61,648) by Tijl from Belgium Honestly I am happy for Mariah to receive the award. Is she the most outspoken spokesperson for gay rights? No Is she a gay icon? Yes. Compared to a Lady Gaga or that Madonna person she is much less outspoken in public but read between the lines: a "rainbow" cover, a very gay pose, song lyrics such as "Outside" and "Mariah's Theme" and her love for anything camp. Mariah deserves this award as she has been speaking through her music for anyone that felt out of place in their lives. No need for blatant and vulgar behaviour on gay pride parades etc. She may be over the top when it comes to her image but in her heart she is modest and respectful. Unfortunately some gay people don't understand the power of a meaningfull whisper over shallow hollering. The award will give her extra confidence and good publicity in the mags. Out of touch (61,591) by Tijl from Belgium It is really great to read positive feedback on her SSFT from those who visited the concerts. And the videos available on the internet show her in good shape with a voice that is solid. However, I do have some concerns about the imagery distributed through her official channels. She seems to have a lot of fun with her pose. Yet something seems wrong. There is something in her eyes that clearly shows she is miles away from her inner self. I don't want to blame it all on Stella but basically she is surrounded by her and her family all the time. These random pictures with accompanying texts such as "Airbnb", "Plaza Athanée", etc. indicate a move towards endorsements unnecessary for a person of her caliber. And now this wodka thing? I would rather have her working on music instead being focused on this ongoing gimmicky nonsense. (Sunday 24 April 2016; 21:50)

What did you expect? A moment of splashes and festivity? Becoming best friends and staying over in the butterfly room at her Tribeca pad? Get real guys. Bye bye Brussels (60,878) by Tijl from Belgium No need to blame MC on cancelling the show in Brussels but as a Belgian lamb for almost twenty years I feel let down by the management and yes, my queen has failed on me as well. No discussion about to cancel or not. The situation in Belgium is serious albeit not as outrageous as covered on foreign news channels. It is not the Gaza. However I did expect something personal from Mariah. A video message on her FB-Instagram, a public statement. This does not feel like the woman that cares for her lambs at all. There has been intensive debating about the matter with the Belgian government and the U.S. Embassy in Brussels. I hope with all my heart they pick another date because after reading reviews, especially yours, this tour is a momentum for a new era. Love from Belgium. They can not take away our dreams. Tour stop in Brussels (58,565) by Tijl from Belgium I am over the moon that my BFF went into a full craze to get her hands on tickets for the concert in Brussels. She has never experienced a Mariah show before and we are very lucky that her Belgian concert ties with her anniversary. I have had to chance to see her on previous tour stops. First during the Rainbow tour in Antwerp in 1999 - a rather awkward and less impressive show to be honest - and the spectacular concert in Rotterdam on the Charmbracelet tour in 2003. I will never forget that opening moment when she approached the stage through the audience. I have high hopes for this third time as I feel she will be in top condition after the Beacon shows and the second leg of "Infinty". But most of all it will be very exciting to experience this with a person that I love dearly and to see her reactions to Mimi on stage. (Saturday 19 December 2015; 18:27)

Saying Hello with the same message (57,524) by Tijl from Belgium Hello Lambily. The world seemed to have gone in a craze over Adele's latest little effort. It is a nice song indeed, however I seems very reminiscent of her previous work. It does show that Adele has a connection with the audience in her image. As she sticks with her blue collar background, people tend to see her as genuine. Smart move. I believe that Mariah has delivered some of the best work in her career in the last years but has clearly lost some credibility with her diva-esque antics. I love her and totally connect with her goofy personality but the world clearly doesn't. Maybe she should cut back on the image and focus on the music more. A reinvention with a new look. I would love to see her being the prominent godess of pop again. I have seen a lot of videos and interviews from the Rainbow and Emancipation era and she was fabulous, very glamorous yet focused and not rambling through interviews. Mariah happy (56,298) by Tijl from Belgium Hello Lambily. I follow MCA incessantly (pun intended lol) and sometimes I really can not believe the content on here. I love this woman more than I can express. My friends and people around me know and think I am bonkers but still. I even launched an expression we now use on funny moments. Whenever something is wrong or just not right, I would say in her very divalicious manner (with handgesture included): "Mimi says no." Mariah has inspired me, been a companion through so many times and whatever she does, right or wrong, I support her. Lipsyncing? Whatever, she has nothing to proove. Less PR? She has kids. This lady is a living legend and anyone who can do better... "Can the real MC please stand up to the mic?" I find her latest work the best and most genuine ever, commercial flops or not. Thank you miss Mariah Carey, MC, Mimi, elusive chanteuse for your gift and sharing it with us. (Wednesday 26 August 2015; 5:26)

Mariah in Cannes (55,360) by Tijl from Belgium This is so exciting. A former colleague of mine works as an assistant manager for a very profilic luxury brand in Cannes. A few weeks ago, when Mariah was cruising along the Cote d'Azur, she walked into the store where my friend works. She was in the company of two men, which one of them being Christopher Buckle (according to my friends description ). My friend told Mariah was very polite and very sweet with the softest and warmest voice imagineable. She wore a long Cavalli dress and very high heels. She picked out some items for her new beau. She was very apologetic towards my friend for giving her so much to do. Sweet . One of the men paid and they left very quietly. (Monday 20 July 2015; 19:46)

"To see me back at #1" (54,395) by Tijl from Belgium People keep going on about "Infinty" not being strong material. As with every new single from Mariah that isn't repeating the previous one, so many fans cry wolf. "Infinity" is a good song with many layers. I believe the marketing machine behind Mariah isn't just as it was in the old days. Mainly because Mariah decided to balance out her private life with her career. I remember very well a documentary on the "Charmbracelet' era were she visited 3 different European countries in one single day, giving interviews, attended meet and greets and had camera crews following her. And that was just one single day after day after day. With dem babies it would be impossible to do such intense promotion for singles or albums. As well, that was 12 years ago. Remember the promotion tour for "Emancipation"? I do believe with proper intense promotion "#1 to infinity" and "Infinity" could have been a greater succes. Just as well, music has changed so much over the last decade. Any piece of junk can be marketed to good sales. At the end of the day, I am not defending Mariah being Cinderella. She has flaws there she is a human being. She has given me many times of consolation and support in difficult times of my life just as she made me happy. To me, she has nothing left to prove being already a living legend with a body of work that won't be surpased very soon. I just find it far due for some moguls in the industry to finally acknowledge her legacy. (Tuesday 9 June 2015; 0:10)

Side effects (54,357) by Tijl from Belgium Hello Lambily. I think we all agree on the fact that there are definitely some people with power trying to work against our girl. As a matter a fact a very close friend of mine met a presidential bodyguard when he was escorting president Obama during a trip to Europe. This bodyguard had also worked closely with Mariah during several occasions. He confided to my friend that indeed some forces are working against her. He mentioned something about links to mobsters. We all know for a fact that mister "Side Effects" is very powerful and has many times debunked Mimi's career. However that certain bodyguard was very carefull in giving too much information but he pressed on the fact that people he used to be on her side are now working against her because they are told so. I don't know how accurate this information is, but we should accept that in every business there are politics involved and that if you don't play the game according to the powers that be like it, you are in for a tough ride. Mariah has made some of her strongest and deepest music over the last years yet everything seems to fail. Clearly something is going on behind the scenes. Too many undermining stories pop up randomly. These stories make my blood boil as I believe she is a genuinely good person. (Monday 8 June 2015; 17:10)

Why so harsh? (47,405) by Tijl from Belgium I have never, but really never ever before posted on any forum endorsing Mariah. Basically because I believe too many people project their frustrations and insecurities onto a subject that is easy to hit. When I read all the comments regarding Mariah's latest tour I feel so sad. Are amateuristic videos really a trustworthy source? We can not neglect the fact that our girl is going through some rough times and that her voice indeed has changed. She is out there for the fans. Do people realise that using the voice at that level is the equivalent of an athlete performing sports at an Olympic level continuously? Give her break. We all know she has the voice, she can do it.. Maybe not all perfect all the time. Question yourself why you have become a fan in the first place. (Monday 13 October 2014; 16:55)
