Re: Billboard Music Awards (100,203) (100,204) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter While previously I would have been like slim chance of that happening, but Latto tweeted that's she's performing at BBMAs followed by the 777, lotto abs butterfly emojis. She only puts the butterfly emoji for Mariah. So this tells me either Mariah is going to show up or the remix will be performed. Also BER is the first time in recent times I've seen Mariah promote a song so much. Usually she just drops it and goes into hiding. But this time she talked about it on her insta live, then made that pool snippet of her with BER playing in the background. I would have thought the moment Mariah didn't get credited on BB for 2 consecutive weeks she'd just drop it haha. It's nice to see she's still rooting for it. (Wednesday 20 April 2022; 14:40)

Re: The Roof (When I Feel the Need) (100,175) (100,177) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter "The Roof" is one of Mariah's greatest creations and I thought it was darn near perfect. I didn't know what to expect from the 2022 version but ofcourse Mariah being the freaking genius that she is took perfection and took it to the next level. The new version is gorgeous. The original has a darker atmosphere, more melancholic to match how she was feeling. The new version is lighter, more airy like she's finally in a better place. Both versions great in their own right. The new whistle at the end of "every time" sounds so beautiful. I can't wait until this is on streaming and I hope this gets introduced to the new generation. Brandy did an amazing job backing Mariah up, they both sounds so heavenly together. Can't wait to see what other songs Mariah reimagined for TBL. (Friday 15 April 2022; 20:50)

Stella had absolutely trashed Mariah's image down to being a C list reality star. I thought there was no way Mariah would be able to come out of that. The way her image has been restored in the past few years is a miracle. Don't get me wrong, it's not like I'm saying Mariah being a grown woman shouldn't be held responsible but people you surround yourself with do influence you. Stella had basically taken a legend and buried her status. I'm glad Mariah is out of that era. As much as I would love Mariah to get credited and the positive news that would generate I don't want that at the expense of her being trashed down again. (Sunday 10 April 2022; 22:05)

Her subtle backing throughout elevates the whole song and this is why she's pure genius. We've wanting an upbeat song from Mariah for so long glad we got it even if it's a feature. Also I was hearing that in twitter spaces Mariah said she has her own mix of the song. Wonder if that'll get an official release. (Monday 28 March 2022; 18:54)

I would have lived if Mariah rapped along with Latto in parts how she does when she has rappers on her songs. But honestly this song slays. Can't wait to see what they have planned. Mariah was on twitter spaces yesterday and I think she was asked about there being a video and she said something like "You gotta ask RCA. It's like a three prong thing." A three prong thing is usually from what I gather a three part thing. So I don't know what she meant when she says that. But Latto was super confident with the song being a hit so I'm hoping they have plans to promote. (Monday 28 March 2022; 15:32)

Remix (100,021) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Heard the remix at the premier and I love it. Really fun and has hit potential. I know a lot of lambs are saying Mariah's vocals sound dry, I will put that aside and say I enjoyed the song and will be blasting it on repeat. I hope there's a video soon. As far as her jumping on a new rapper's song, I think she understands the music business has changed. It's all about a viral moment if she wants to stay relevant. Plus with BE basically having the same sample as one of her biggest hits it's quite natural for her to be featured on it. No harm in her having a viral moment and create momentum for her to release her own stuff. This feature will also introduce her to a newer generation/fan base and shed some musical light over the dark dank Mariah less world they've been living in hahah. (Saturday 26 March 2022; 18:48)

And oh gosh I was so furious at Latto for saying she didn't know Mariah used "Genius of Love" while also having mentioned she loves Mariah and owns all her stuff (dressing up as Mariah's Rainbow cover for Halloween) lol I was like girl how are you gonna sit here and pretend you don't know one of Mariah's biggest hits. Fantasy changed the remix culture. And I was also like why is Mariah not shading her haha now I know. Also how exciting that for the first time in years a rumour or lamb speculation of Mariah came true because I was for sure in the back of my mind thinking oh well they'll announce it and it won't be Mariah (lol like the whole A No No Cardi moment). All the clues pointed to it and even Mariah has been using Fantasy in a lot of promo like Black Irish and masterclass but we lambs have misread clues many times so I didn't think it's happening. Latto seems confident by saying this will be her first and Mariah's 20th #1 so that gives me hope there's a good promo strategy in place. I'm not expecting a #1 but a good chart positioning and some success would be great just before Mariah releases her own stuff. This man has been extensively verbally abusive towards Mariah. Yes I know it's his style of rap but nope Mariah does not deserve this. No self respecting individual would pull that move just to get views or go viral. Eminem is talented no doubt (even Mariah admits to it) but the way he attacked her for no reason is just not acceptable and I hope she never has to deal with him again. If it comes to ending feuds the only feud I'd want her to put aside is Nicki because Nicki was a Mini fan girl and I feel the producers kinda sparked the "feud" by hyping up both parties. I think Mariah and Nicki's chemistry is fire. "Up out of my face" remix still slays to this day. (Monday 24 January 2022; 05:29)

But for the new series of photos and also for some recent outfits in general I think she's working behind the scenes with some major fashion brands, most notably Dolce & Gabbana (the bronze dress from the Apple special, the new photos in the snow, McDonald's commercial, Jimmy Fallon orange dress and many more) and also Balmain (the black and white snow suit). A lot of these pieces are custom made for her too. This is also (if I'm not mistaken) the first time (at least in a while) I've seen these major fashion brands (both D&G and Balmain) repost her photos on their official pages/instagrams. So I'm happy she's finally getting exposure in the fashion world as I've always wanted her to be the face of a major fashion brand. Her recent "partnership" with D&G also led her to do the "Vogue Life in Looks" segment, and her Harper Bazaar's spread/video. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for her to do the iconic 73 Questions for Vogue and finally announcing her as the ambassador of a brand. (Sunday 26 December 2021; 19:36)
