About ktktkt from Philippines: hi mc fan here

Re: All I Want For Christmas - Beacon Theater 2014 (58,343) (58,347) by ktktkt from Philippines
Her tone in that performance sounded just like Daydream esp the mid belts.

I agree those 2 songs are my jam off Memoirs. To the webmaster: I love the new site's layout, nice work.

Mariah less cleavage (54,573) by ktktkt from Philippines
I agree that she she should not expose her cleavage as much because it cheapens her look. We know that she's still hot and looks 10 years younger than her actual age. Her looks in Paris are on point, she should stick to it "religiously" lol. Please minimize ball gowns and be more to casual as it makes her more "ordinary" and therefore can be perceived as less diva. Image is as important as talent as well. Imagine should [...] wearing too skimpy clothes and expose her cleavage on a regular basis, would the public take her seriously? I remember when my aunt asked me for a gift suggestion for her daughter, I have told her to buy Mariah's Around The World DVD, she was taken a back and told me that she doesn't want her daughter to be raunchy when she grows up. Obviously, she's not following Mariah's career and she's just judging Mariah based on her clothes. That was around 2001 when Mariah's [..] mv is overplayed in MTV channel. I didnt bother to argue with her though.

Mariah reality check (54,572) by ktktkt from Philippines
She should realize right now that too much of yes men in her team will do no good in her career. I can still see in her eyes that she still wants a hit and probably chasing the history of having the most #1 songs of all time. Being no. 1 is always associated with her name so she has to make adjustments on her end. I know that she has nothing left to prove at this point and can definitely do "whatever" songs and release them as she pleased. However, we lambs are always rooting for her and it affects us when the public disrespects and bash her when she "flops" because not hitting no. 1 record is automatically a "flop" on Mariah standards. It tends to tarnish her legendary status somehow. Anyway, public having such high expectations of her really means she's still relevant. How I wish she's checking this board because we have a lot of bright ideas for her to claim her throne again.

Time of your life (54,568) by ktktkt from Philippines
It could have been a smash hit if it was complete and released now. Totally agree on that. I still believe she can still make a # 1 hit. All needed is right timing and fresh sound. I hate it when she tries to replicate another [...] song because it was getting old and seems that kind of song won't appeal much in this decade. She needs to try another or reinvent another sound like she used to and stop using the same formula from the past decades.

First time hearing Mariah and being a lamb (54,539) by ktktkt from Philippines
I've been hearing Mariah Carey since 1993 when Hero was popular but I'm not really paying attention to her that much. In 1995-1996, OSD was very popular, overplayed in the Phillippines not I did not understand that it's a song for someone who passed away. I liked [...] more especially the "do wo woop" intro. I only really got hooked to her when I heard Emotions and O Holy Night on the radio. The whistles in Emotions intrigued me the most and the high belting in [...]. I believe that was 1998-1999 when I heard that from the radio but I don't have a computer to search or any Mariah Carey casette tapes or CDs back then. When I first used a computer in 2001, I've searched the songs and the album. Luckily, one of my classmates let me borrow her cassette (Daydream) and the rest is history. I still have her cassette with me.

No to breaks (54,538) by ktktkt from Philippines
She needs to be everywhere as it will help more people and potential new lambs to recognize and support her new music (if ever). She needs to be more visible as much as possible. Could have been 30 #1's if she didn't take a break after TEOM era. (Though TMB went to number 1, it's because of the popularity of TEOM.)

Triumphant and other buzz singles (54,216) by ktktkt from Philippines
Just be because it flopped doesnt mean it's not good. Honestly, I prefer it to some of her BB Hot 100 # 1's. Maybe I'm just tired hearing the same songs from her over and over. Thirsty is also good and it became my own #1 on my playlist at some point last year. TAOLG, I love the impromptu performance in [...]. The studio version was boaring at first but I like it now although it flopped.

Least and most favorite mc songs (54,215) by ktktkt from Philippines
Favorite. It may change overtime but these songs are my jam for now:
1. Forever: I love her, especially the one in Rotterdam, the dress, the hair, the voice, and the twirl. She was a princess back then. I prefer the live version, it's perfect for me.
2. I don't wanna cry: Again, I find myself wanting the live Daydream version. She sang it effortlessly especially in Rotterdam (again) while sitting. Perfect is the only word that comes into my mind.
3. 100%: This is so underrated. I had this on my playlist on repeat. I love how she sang especially the long note in the end.
4. Candy bling: I love the beat. I tend to skip this at first but it's weirdly on my playlist now. I also love the remix.
5. Last kiss: The melody sound fresh to me and I am never getting tired hearing it. Should have been a single imo.
Least favorite:
1. Twister: It bores me to hell.
2. Sunflower for Alfred Roy: I just skip it. Though Mariah specifically wrote that to her father and meant a lot to her but I prefer [...] or [...] ([...] can also be a song like [...] depending on how you interpret).
3. Hero: Unless she's singing it like she did in Daydream tour, the song is a drag for me.
4. Auld Lang Syne: She sounded manufactured there and I dont get its MV.
5. Can't let go: I had this on my playlist like my most favorite now I tend to skip it.

Forever (54,172) by ktktkt from Philippines
I can't believe someone will dislike it. Anyway this song is my favorite from Mariah as it reminds me of her glory days in Daydream tour especially the live version in Rotterdam. Whenever she had a bad performance, I watch her singing Forever live to remind me how I become a fan. This song just had a lot of great vocal moments attached to it. So there.

Dennis (from Ukraine) (53,676) by ktktkt from Philippines
Oh thanks. We also have that kind of show in the Philippines (called "Your face sounds familiar") where it's more of a "visual" show because they tend to copy the "looks" only and not the voice of the artist. But this woman from that show (in Georgia) must be really talented (vocally) because I watched some of her impersonations on that show and I was impressed. We have our Mariah impersonator in "Your face sounds familiar" but I got furious because the participant makes her Mariah impersonation laughable and far from Mariah sound and looks (though she can sing). Baby, well, for the show where the "goal" is to just impersonate, the girl did a pretty impressive job compared to other version of that show in other countries. And also, her runs/melismas kinda close to Nippy/MC. And it's the closest I heard. I heard karaoke versions in YouTube (Lisa Lavie and some others doing note by note Mariah cover and they don't even come close) that's for me is impressive because Mariah voice is impossible to be duplicated. And of course, I don't want a copy cat in the real business (hi Ariana Grande, that's why I'm not a fan of that girl). That show's purpose is to impersonate and that woman did an amazing job.

Impressive Mariah/Whitney impersonation (53,667) by ktktkt from Philippines
It's a spot on impersonation. Anyone knows the singer or what show this is?

VOL / Infinity - Disney (53,664) by ktktkt from Philippines
She sounded great and also she did the whistle/head voice twice.

BBMA Mariah (53,471) by ktktkt from Philippines
For me she sounded great on VOL, it's just the transition from VOL to Infinity that sounded off, she was still singing and Infinity began playing but I love it overall. She looks gorgeous as ever.

Re: project Infinity (53,081) by ktktkt from Philippines
Just a tip, create a playlist and add Infinity (one song only) then click on the repeat icon. In that way, it will refresh automatically. Happy streaming.

Infinity (52,758) by ktktkt from Philippines
I saw some snippets of the music video and she looks fab. This may be her 19th if everything goes well. I'm happy that even non-lambs seem to like it. She needs support not just from lambs and it being universal (plus a cool video to accompany it) she'll make another history. Yasss.

I have created a playlist and put just this song to add more views.

Infinity (52,388) by ktktkt from Philippines
I'm scared that I will be disappointed after reading some of your reactions to the song, but surprisingly, the song is a grower and I really like it now. Someone said that the intro sounded like "Honeymoon avenue" by Ariana Grande so I was a bit. There's a resemblance in the few seconds of the intro.

Can't take away OSD record (51,891) by ktktkt from Philippines
Yes. OSD's record is still safe. Even if UF rebounds, still 16 weeks consecutive lead is the record to beat. Mariah must be singing "happily". "They can try but they can't take that away from me." *whistles*

New cover | #1 To Infinity (51,741) by ktktkt from Philippines
The new album cover is so fab for me. I think the purpose of this new compilation album is to re-introduce her hopefully it would ignite a spark of interest to new people. I'm not really expecting it to sell but I hope that she would release a new album after her Vegas gig.

See You Again might save OSD (51,527) by ktktkt from Philippines
The song is so awesome, it has the same vibe as OSD so all lambs should unit and push this song and dethrone the Funk song off the #1 next week. OSD is too good be to dethroned. I hope only a MC record could dethrone OSD this year.
