About Jenny from South Africa: I love reading and listening to music. Celine and Mariah are my favourite singers of all time. Have loved them both since 1993.

Melonie Daniels (59,844) by Jenny from South Africa
Melonie went to see Mariah's Vegas show and posted a picture of her with Mariah on her instagram. She wrote that Mariah's always so sweet and she has a great body of work. It was a very sweet message and Mariah looked beautiful in the picture.

Re: One thing I agree with Wendy (59,385) (59,404) by Jenny from South Africa
Mariah has spent time with his kids. At the beach at St Barts I think, there was a picture of Mariah with the twins and James' daughter on the yellow floating device. And James wasn't with them there. They were also on the initial cruise that they went on last year.

Hi Marissa. I agree with you. I'm also getting the feeling it's not going to be over the top.

James Packer - charity (59,279) by Jenny from South Africa
I googled James and charity since people were wondering if he donates to charity and he set up a fund in 2014 into which the Packer family and his business have pledged to donate 20 million dollars every year for the next 10 years. It's going to go towards education and the arts for disadvantaged people. And the Packers have been donating a lot of money to other good causes for years. So if he wants to spoil his fiancée then I personally don't think we should hold it against him. But that's just my humble opinion.

Re: Mariah engaged (59,259) (59,270) by Jenny from South Africa
Hi. Both Mariah's Wikipedia and Nick's Wikipedia show them as divorced in 2015. That change only happened during the last few months of 2015 so I would say it's probably accurate. The engagement might be a little soon but if she's happy then I'm excited for her. She seems much more confident the last few months and it looks like she's in a great place. They're both in the 40's so maybe they don't want to waste time if they're already sure. He seems like a good guy. Congrats Mariah and James.

Re: What Mariah song brings you to tears? (58,836) (58,845) by Jenny from South Africa
Camouflage makes me tear up. Petals and Butterfly also make me feel emotional.

Re: Photo (58,356) (58,360) by Jenny from South Africa
Wait wait is this picture legit? I live in South Africa and I haven't heard she's coming here. If it's true I'm going to die of happiness right now.

Kelly and Michael (58,007) by Jenny from South Africa
I might be in the minority but I really enjoyed this interview. I thought she was relaxed and enjoying it. On Steve Harvey I admit she seemed less comfortable. On a completely unrelated matter, my local radio station plays Infinity almost every day and my colleagues really like the song and her high note.

I love "Infinity" and I'm a woman in my late twenties. I'm not a fan of the remix but I really enjoy the original.

Only 1 Mariah song (55,430) by Jenny from South Africa
My choice would have to be Without You. Her vocals are so beautiful and heartfelt and the song is haunting. I love when she uses the lower part of her register.

Kate from UK (55,203) by Jenny from South Africa
Hi Kate. I have 2 songs that I definitely don't hate, I actually like them and enjoy them but I was never as in love with them as the rest of the lambily seems to be and I never quite got the hype. The 2 songs are We Belong Together and Migrate. It's always been a surprise to me that We Belong Together spent 14 weeks at number 1. No one was more thrilled about it than me but I felt she had much better songs throughout her career that were more worthy of all the fuss and success lol. I just didn't quite get it. I don't like the second verse lyrics.

Mimi L (54,944) by Jenny from South Africa
Maybe Mariah has drifted apart from her friends who don't have kids yet? I could be reaching, it's just my theory. She's still close to MaryAnn who is also a mother and Stella is a mom too. Maybe they don't have much in common anymore. I do think it's sad that she and Jasmine aren't close anymore but I guess we don't know if they still call each other often.

Jasmine / Mimi L (54,923) by Jenny from South Africa
Perez tweeted her asking if Jasmine was referring to Mariah and Jasmine tweeted 3 replies denying it. She said she was talking about a PR woman who invited her to 3 different clients engagement parties within the space of 18 months. I really don't think she was referring to Mariah at all.

Young girls (54,809) by Jenny from South Africa
Mariah has tweeted young females. Fifth Harmony and Tori Kelly. And lots of people have likened Tori's voice to Mariah's and she still tweeted her. Not to mention all the other females younger than Mariah that she has openly shown support to. Rihanna, Beyoncé, Kelly Clarkson, Alicia Keys. The list goes on and on.

Nick's instagram post (54,774) by Jenny from South Africa
To be fair I don't think it was about Mariah at all. He was also spotted holding hands with someone in Disneyland and he was probably just replying to those rumours. Is anyone else concerned that James was involved in a punch up with his best friend last year? I'm not convinced they're really dating yet. They thought she dated Brett Ratner a few months ago. She does look very happy and beautiful in all the Capri pics though which is great.

Shawn (54,287) by Jenny from South Africa
Her nephew has tweeted more about the Morgan drama if anyone wants to check out his twitter page. I'm so glad Mariah has Shawn in her corner standing up for her. Most people just want to sell her out or throw her under the bus so it makes a welcome change. He said Morgan has only seen her 3 times in the last 7 years. He also implied that I Wish You Well was partly written about Morgan.

LC (54,264) by Jenny from South Africa
I agree with you LC. I believe Shawn over Morgan. Shawn is the person in her family whose spent the most time with Mariah. When the split became public it was Shawn by her side when the reporter was hounding Mariah for a statement and he seemed very protective of her. I highly doubt he has any reason to enable her. He's an accomplished man. She's always said he's more like a brother than a nephew.

Walmart performance (54,244) by Jenny from South Africa
I loved what she was wearing. It's much better than the ballgowns and she looked younger and more relaxed and comfortable. She sounded really good for most of it. She struggled a bit here and there but her voice sounded very pleasing and strong for the most part. I enjoyed it. She looked like she was enjoying it too. She looked so beautiful.

Nick (53,191) by Jenny from South Africa
I agree with Mimi. I also never heard of Nick until he married Mariah. I supported their marriage because she was clearly very happy for the first couple years. I wouldn't mind Nick coming out saying nice things about Mariah on Twitter if she was happy about it but I think the lyrics in infinity make it clear that she doesn't want him to do that. "Ain't no false pretense", "ain't no being friends" are key indications to me that she doesn't want him to and maybe she thinks it's fake. Obviously that's my interpretation and I could be wrong. And honestly when Nick first finally defended her on Twitter after the split rumours had been out for a while I really think he just did that out of obligation because he was really defending the first girl the media had paired him up with. He ended that whole Twitter speech defending that woman. (I can't remember her name.) He probably thought it would look bad for him to break his silence to defend only another woman and not Mariah too. Again it's just my opinion and I could just be biased lol.

Will from England (53,148) by Jenny from South Africa
I agree with you. She hasn't given such a personal interview in a long time. I have Side Effects in my head now. It was one of my favourites from E=MC2. I never thought she'd be using it for Nick too. It's sad that she's been through such a difficult time. She sounds like a really good mother. She's still the same person she's always been. I think fans who think she doesn't care or she's not down to earth anymore are wrong about that in my opinion.

Mariah sounds incredible (52,946) by Jenny from South Africa
Yay I'm so happy. She's sounding really good. I'm so happy for her. She puts a big smile on my face.

Just listened to TEOM (51,598) by Jenny from South Africa
Wow I forgot how amazing this album really was. The only songs I don't enjoy so much are We Belong Together and Shake It Off. Every other song is such a joy to listen to. I've been really stressed lately at work and this album just put me in a great mood. I can't believe I forgot about I Wish You Knew and Fly Like A Bird. To The Floor definitely should have been a single. It's such a fun song and I love listening to Nelly trying to sing lol. Say Somethin' is also great but To The Floor would have done better as a single. So Lonely, Get Your Number, the whole album is incredible. Apologies for the essay but I couldn't help myself

Your Girl (51,594) by Jenny from South Africa
Your Girl was and still is my favourite song on TEOM. I also adore Joyride and Stay The Night. Talking about these songs is making me want to listen to the album so I'm going to do just that right now lol. Mine Again and Circles are great songs too. To be honest the songs actually released as singles were my least favourite on the album and I tend to skip them. I've always loved that Mariah usually saves the best songs for the people who actually buy the album.

Hero (50,941) by Jenny from South Africa
I personally feel like she sang it well. It wasn't 90's standard but I still think it was a solid and enjoyable performance. I don't think she lipped the climax. She didn't hide her face behind her hand or turn away and we all know those are the usual lipping signs for MC. Her voice was clear all through the song.

TMZ / fashion police (50,864) by Jenny from South Africa
I loved how she laughed and said "I don't think they want me" when she was asked if she's going to join Fashion Police. She's adorable. I'm not a fan of that outfit but I enjoyed all her responses. The guy messing up the Sony/Epic question was funny too. I'm glad he never asked her about the ex. Usually that's all TMZ wants to hound her about.
