About Jenny from South Africa: I love reading and listening to music. Celine and Mariah are my favourite singers of all time. Have loved them both since 1993.

Celine Whitney Diana (50,547) by Jenny from South Africa
I've always loved Mariah and Celine equally. I worship them both. I love many Whitney songs but I always had her below Mariah and Celine. I could never listen to a full Whitney album but I can listen to several albums of MC and Celine one after the other. Diana Ross is a legend but vocally Mariah, Celine and Whitney completely outshine her.

Kevin Costner / Nate / Vegas (49,840) by Jenny from South Africa
Actually Kevin said that he did reach out to Whitney and was told she had received his messages but she never replied to him. Moving onto Nathan Morris, I'm sad it's come to this stage where her friends feel like it's time to comment but I think he was very respectful and I think his intentions were good. I don't think he's just using her name for publicity. I think he wants to help her. I think Mariah might struggle the first few Vegas performances but she'll definitely get better as it goes on just like The Elusive Chanteuse tour. But definitely won't start as badly since she had bronchitis at that time. I think her voice is still there, she just needs to warm up properly and start rehearsing early so her voice is in good condition from the first show.

Billy from Greece (49,278) by Jenny from South Africa
Ha sorry Billy. I was clearly having a blonde moment. I should have realised there was no way a fan could call that song obscure. So sorry. I'm so glad Mariah might be reuniting with LA Reid. I think things were going better for her when he was involved in her work. She is looking incredible.

Billy from Greece (49,251) by Jenny from South Africa
Hi Billy. I just had to say that the line you quoted came from Without You and it's definitely not an obscure song. It's probably her most popular cover internationally. It's my favourite Mariah song so I had to correct you sorry. Moving onto Nick, I really hope he doesn't try to get spousal support from Mariah because he's got plenty of his own money now anyway. If he was an ordinary Joe with a 9 to 5 job I would understand but he really is already filthy rich without her money.

Monark (49,164) by Jenny from South Africa
To me, the difference is that Mariah's songs on MIAMTEC showed her sadness over the situation. The songs were heartfelt (no I don't think Thirsty was about Nick, I think Camouflage and maybe Cry were about him). Nick's song is making light of the divorce like it's just a joke to him. That's why to me I find it disrespectful. And I was always someone who was pro-nick after they got married because of how happy Mariah was, so I'm not biased against him.

Camouflage, Will (48,520) by Jenny from South Africa
I also love Camouflage. It's a beautiful song. It's very touching. It's almost too good because listening to it makes me feel depressed on her behalf. I hate that she was so sad. But it's definitely my favourite song on the album.

Debbie Gibson (48,377) by Jenny from South Africa
This is just random info, but I just noticed Mariah has been following Debbie on Twitter before she even started following Brett Ratner, Love B Scott and Kristofer Buckle.

Performance (48,211) by Jenny from South Africa
I'm surprised to see so many people think she sang badly. I thought 95% of it was great. Maybe certain parts she didn't go for the belt or high note but she still sounded great. The intro was perfect. I can't believe someone said it sounded like the opening night of the Elusive Chanteuse tour. That's completely off base in my opinion. Maybe we all hear things differently.

My all (47,925) by Jenny from South Africa
Those 2 performances of My All were incredible LC. Thanks for sharing them. I watched them several times over. I actually prefer the Sydney one slightly though but they were both moving. Her vocal ability is first class.

Hero climax (47,869) by Jenny from South Africa
Considering that Mariah didn't hide her face at all when she sang the climax in Hero I would say she sang it 100% live. She's been singing better and better with each show so I don't think I'm being naive to think this ending was definitely live. I'll admit she struggled with One Sweet Day though. That wasn't easy to watch but she's been singing Hero and Emotions so well recently that I think we can cut her some slack on One Sweet Day. And it's so sweet that she's been giving Nathaniel such an opportunity.

My all (47,713) by Jenny from South Africa
I don't think any part of My All was lipped. Why would she lip the first chorus and then sing the belting at the end. She wasn't singing every word in the first chorus. She was waiting for the second verse. Maybe that's why you think she was lipping Andrew.

Hero in Manila (47,680) by Jenny from South Africa
This is the best I've heard MC sing Hero in years. Like before the Emancipation era. It gave me goosebumps. I haven't liked the way she's sung the first line and the "no one reaches out a hand" line since her Adventures Of Mimi tour. This was the first performance since then where she's sung those lines like she originally used to and it sounded beautiful. I'm so happy for her. The entire song was beautiful. And she looks like she's feeling so comfortable and confident and serene like she knows she's sounding amazing again. I love miss Carey so much. I'm so proud of her.

Emotions performance (47,484) by Jenny from South Africa
Wow MC sounds incredible here. And yes I definitely think the whole song was live. She really sounded so good. You can see the band and backing singers were loving her performance too. I hope everyone on this board who's been saying she can't sing anymore watches that video and their faith gets restored. I love you Mariah.

Without you (47,382) by Jenny from South Africa
Without You has always been my favourite Mariah vocal of all time. I thoroughly enjoyed the clip below. My girl can still sing people. It really moved me. I'm not sure if Fantasy was totally live but it was so great to see her moving and having fun. And her outfit was so sexy in a cute and classy way. I loved everything about that outfit including her hairstyle. Mariah, you on fire. Thanks for posting all these Beijing clips everyone.

Blonde moment (47,128) by Jenny from South Africa
I meant the Daydream tour, not the Fantasy tour lol.

First show / Randy (47,126) by Jenny from South Africa
Her first show of her tours is always a bit off and then the shows get better afterwards. Even on the Fantasy tour. Critics were giving her poor reviews for the first Fantasy show and she stepped it up from the second show. It's normal for her. Yes even in the magical 90s. Fans on this board were begging her to sing live even if she sounds bad and asking for different songs to be sung on tour and more songs to be sung and she did all of that for us. I think people would be happier if they started focusing on the positives instead of only the negatives.

I really love this song. Probably my favourite from Rainbow. Thanks for posting those videos. Really made my day guys.

Hand movements (46,765) by Jenny from South Africa
I do the Mariah hand movements when I sing too Mimi L. Not only when I'm singing Mariah's songs but any song. I catch myself doing it all the time and I'll just start laughing. I really think it helps me sing better though. Not that I have any singing ability lol.

Nick's twitter speech (46,639) by Jenny from South Africa
I know some fans get annoyed that Nick always called MC his wife but I thought it was sweet and lots of married people refer to their spouses as my wife or my husband. It made me sad to see that in his twitter rant he didn't call her his wife at all. It was strange because we're used to him saying my wife constantly. It really brought home that it must really be over now.

Daydream327 (46,356) by Jenny from South Africa
The true love story video you made me so sad. I really hope they work things out. They came so far. I hope they keep trying. It doesn't seem like Nick is cutting back on his workload though which is probably a big part of the problem. Anyway, sending lots of love to Mariah and dem babies.

Separation (46,231) by Jenny from South Africa
This is the saddest news. My heart is breaking for Mariah. Camouflage is such a beautiful song and it was so personal and touching. I really hope they can save the marriage.

Work ethic (46,052) by Jenny from South Africa
I think Mariah had an incredible work ethic for almost 20 years. She worked so hard that she collapsed from exhaustion in 2001. If she wants to enjoy herself and her children now then I think she's more than earned the right to slow down. I wasn't sure she would put out any more albums at all after the babies were born so I'm just grateful she did put out an album and it was a really great one. I understand that fans are used to more and that some people feel she needs sales in order for the record labels to want to put her music out, but she's rich enough to do it herself if it ever comes to that. I feel sad when fans think she should be working harder when she gave us 200% for so long. (No disrespect to you Stephen, I understand where you're coming from and I generally enjoy most of your posts. )

Starving kids comment (45,585) by Jenny from South Africa
Hi Shelley. I think Edward was actually saying that the story about Mariah making that starving kids comment was false and maybe the stories about Katy trying to sabotage Mariah are also false. I think most of the gossip that is written about celebrities is just made up nonsense to sell tabloids. There have been so many false rumours printed about Mariah that I take things supposedly said by other celebrities with a pinch of salt unless I see it coming straight out of their mouths. The throwback comment Katy made could come across as insulting but she must have been a fan at some point to be naming her songs and describing her videos like that. It might not have been meant to sound insulting intentionally. If she was trying to be offensive then forget her, Mariah's records speak for themselves.
