Missing studio pics solved (107,948) by Shezz from Pk I last remember seeing studio pics for MIAMTEC. Did she have any for Caution? I think Caution didn't have any studio pics posted. I think she stopped for two main reasons - first being around MIAM when she claimed her entire concept was stolen/lifted by another artist (who was that?). And secondly because she really doesn't want to get the lambs all worked up about an album that's been delayed over and over for whatever reason. Robert Anthony, when do you think she will drop a single (and when do you think she should)? I love hearing your theories and manifestations. I just can't believe MC is just writing songs in her journal and not going into the studio to lay down vocals. Maybe you are right, MC hasn't posted any studio pics because she just hasn't been inspired by anyone or even her own vocal capacities now. I hope everyday that she would post a studio pic in the booth with any producer. I would even a take a JD studio pic at this point. Rare Whenever You Call video (107,919) by Shezz from Pk I just came across this recently posted video from the Perth Butterfly concert - I don't know if it's new or been around for a while. Her voice was definitely tired and worn out but she soldiered on (98% live) and her rasp was still pretty. The climax audio transition was tough to watch - not too smooth in the early days I suppose but still a beautiful performance of an amazing song. Also she looked so gorgeous here - no frills no elaborate impractical gowns just a simple white top and a pair of jeans. (Saturday 4 January 2025; 13:04)

Merry Christmas SACD (107,881) by Bill from the UK Hello all, a flying visit to say a belated Merry Christmas and an advanced Happy New Year to you all. The new super audio CD of Merry Christmas by Mobile Fidelity sounds fantastic. If you have a decent hifi set up and a good pair of headphones, it's worth investing in, as personally I think it is the best the album has ever sounded. There's so many nuances to unearth, I find with each listen I'm discovering more about an album I thought I knew inside out. Last Christmas (107,866) by Shezz from Pk It's interesting to see the [Spotify] daily charts (USA) have All I Want at #4 on [Christmas] day with Brenda Lee on 1. Mariah never made it to number1 on USA [Spotify] daily charts the whole of the last week (whenever I check). I suppose Spotify isn't the most popular streaming platform in the US since she's been consistently number 1 on the BB streaming charts. Globally she reigns supreme of course with the overall [Spotify] numbers. The [Netflix] NFL bit was cute. A little too short I thought but I suppose they just wanted to use the song as more like opening credits to their [Christmas] presentation. Crazy how versatile and representative it is. That was always rare for her, it was always mostly male rappers if anyone was on a track with her. I would love to know what is going on. Why does she have so many plans simultaneously with not much coming to fruition. I am sure it is a lot more complicated than we know. Passion (107,819) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter We love a positivity so go RA spread that cheer. I however feel similar to what others mentioned. I think making new music is really at the bottom of her priorities right now, let alone bringing the TEOM energy. It could be that she isn't currently on a label and doesn't want to release a solid body of work until she has logistics in place. She also seems more excited about her biopic rather than an album. We've been hearing she's got 10 songs ready for a while now and she has yet to lay vocals. TEOM Mariah wrote 4 bangers in a span of less than 48 hours. She was hungry back then she had something to prove, I think right now she has fully embraced her "legend" status and "retired until Christmas" status. Music will always be special to her and sometimes her inner Mimi comes out hungry to make a splash that's why she tried jumping on many hot remixes in recent times, but I don't know why she always jumps in by the time the momentum is gone. I will ofcourse always be hungry for new Mariah music so I hope she releases a full body of work soon (unpopular opinion I could not care less about her alt rock album). Do you think it's because she has created a lot of music over the last 30 odd years and doesn't have much inspiration or drive to do more or because she knows her new music doesn't sell at all and hence doesn't feel motivated to put new music out any more? I feel she is motivated by success and that's why she puts more of an effort into the Christmas seasons? Does she even have a record label contract currently? I do feel she has one more album left in her and we will get something in the near future. I have a feeling she is still searching for her sound and hasn't created anything that really excites her yet hence when she talks about new music her old excitement isn't there yet. Even when she talks about it, there's a noticeable lack of the excitement she used to have when she couldn't wait to share what she had been cooking up in the studio. She's far from being in the vibrant "Mimi era" energy. She should team up with some big names like Rihanna, Beyoncé, Ariana and a few others to release a collabo album. As Christmas Day gets closer, Mariah's numbers are way stronger than Brenda's. I'm pretty sure Mariah will stay at the top for a third week, and most likely a fourth week as well. Hot 100 (107,702) by Shezz from Pk Isn't AIWFC projected to chart at #10 this week? Why are we so worried about it not doing well this year?. It's charting one week later than last year but pretty high - probably just missed the top 25 mark last week. It is strange how Last Christmas debuted at 38 with that rule. It is my second most favourite Christmas song of all time - I'd be happy if it gets to number 1 as well. Christmas shows (107,612) by Shezz from Pk Everyone's pretty quiet about the Christmas shows. I've not seen too many videos but she seems to be singing live a whole lot more than what she did this past year from the few that I have seen. I like that she's ditched the nutcracker body suit for her famous Santa suit. The sets again don't look as festive as they have been in the past though - she needs the big Christmas trees back again.
