It's a lot of people so I hope Mariah still has the spotlight. Lil Kim plus Missy reminds me of the Lady Marmalade song with Mya, Pink and Christina Aguilera (and its amazing video). Mariah live (84,809) by ksquarred from paris Hey, we all talk about Mariah not being able to belt it live, but last winter for the All I Want for Christmas tour in Paris, one of French most famous singer Johnny Halliday died and she sang his song 100% live. I was there, and it sounded amazing. I think if she lipsyncs it's just because she fears her voice will crack, that's also why she always sounds amazing at the Beacon theater but whenever she sings the same songs in huge European arenas it's not as great (remember that impromptu performance at the Carlyle back in 2012 anyone?). Btw I'm not saying her voice is the same as 1995, I'm just saying she still sounds good. (Friday 12 October 2018; 23:04)

I said she could sound great to some songs, like "I'll be there", different but great, and that she had to accept her voice had changed, something she will never do because she's too insecure. Like she'll never accept her body and face have matured. So we agree in a way, and even if we didn't there was no need to be agressive, it's a free world darling. (Wednesday 23 August 2017; 17:19)

What happened to Mariah's voice ? (78,041) by ksquarred from paris I really don't understand. I've been a fan since the Glitter era when I was just 8 years old. I was at the Paris concert last year. I couldn't understand why there weren't any screens showing Mariah on stage. I thought it was because she found herself too fat or too old. I just stumbled on these. And I know get it. Starting at 2:43 it's the exorcist, a voice coming from out of space. Oh no, it's just the album version playing. The entire song as it was recorded in 93. Then I saw this. And this song proved she still could be great and it made me sad that she felt like she had to sit there and lie to 20,000 people throughout the other songs, looking miserable doing it, because she wasn't confident enough about her voice and herself, and that is why she will never accept to grow old and out of those skanky outfits, never let the world know her voice has matured, and that is why in my opinion she'll never renew herself. There wasn't a real connection with the audience. She was kind of robotic. And it's sad because it was packed and everyone was singing along, so she could have been a bit more festive. If I had 20,000 people singing my lyrics, I would be ecstatic. And when you see the videos of the after party on instagram, she's on fire and seems to really enjoy herself. She didn't seem happy to be there in the arena. I can understand that it's the end of the tour and maybe she's getting tired of it, but for us it was the only night. And she loves our city. Mariah squad (60,352) by ksquarred from paris Maybe it could be nice if the show is focused on the people working for Mariah and all the work they have to do for her, like you'd see a reality tv on a presidential candidate for example. And we'd only see Mariah on stage, or being prepped but with very rare candid moments and very well selected. So that each time she appears on the screen, she'd be the real star we'd been waiting for the whole episode. What I liked about the E=MC2 era for example is how everything was perfectly thought of, every entrance was grand and every tv appearance spot on, it's like she was the queen of England, or running for state. Like in the Say Something video. Since then I've missed that. Mariah doesn't need to be approachable, we have enough celebrities like that, and most people won't identify with her anyway because she's never natural in front of a camera (or in general maybe). She needs to be grand Mariah, bling and all. I think that's what people would tune in to see. She's one of the last ''classic'' stars and should pull a Garbo 2.1. (Friday 11 March 2016; 0:58)
