About Ryan from the Philippines: What I love about Mariah is her unique vocal abilities: from hitting the lowest to highest possible notes, amazing background vocals skills, fluid voice layering, etc. IMO, she's the only singer who can do almost all singing techniques out there perfectly. That is to include her songwriting prowess. Not to mention how many times her songs Make It Happen, Hero and Through The Rain saved my life. Our lives.

Choreography (40,956) by Ryan from the Philippines
I agree, she should bring back atleast a minute of dancing in her videos. Lambs know she can't dance but Mariah knows how to move. We don't need any technical choreography a la B or JLo but the Honey or Heartbreaker steps are enough to complete an uptempo Mariah track (instead of just touching her hair or worst, boobies lol). I kinda enjoy the dance steps at the end of Shake It Off though. It was short but slightly technical than any of her usual routines.

New album (40,729) by Ryan from the Philippines
I think Mariah is cooking up a new album title. I have not heard her referring or calling the album as "The Art Of Letting Go" since last year. TAOLG isn't a bad title but I think she must come up with a more simplier but more classy idea. BTW, the rumored Whitney song cover is something that makes me excited to buy the new album. And I'm excited to hear the new single on Valentine's Day.

Just this (40,638) by Ryan from the Philippines
A brief little reminder for everyone especially non-fans around the world of what made Mariah an artist above the rest. Let us spread the word in celebration prior to the release of the new album.

We Belong Together (40,567) by Ryan from the Philippines
Cheers to MC for spawning her first Vevo Certified video for We Belong Together, despite the fact that it was only made available on VeVo 4 years after TEOM's release. Congatulations!

Charmbracelet (40,516) by Ryan from the Philippines
This boils down to one conclusion, we all have differences in terms of music tastes and preferences. Personally, I think CB was really a good and underrated album. The best lyrically and vocally in years IMO. I won't get tired of saying that this certain era has a special place in my heart since this is when I started loving her and her music. It was the first album I bought ever and at the first listen it made me even love her more. The only problem when CB was released, people were not ready to embrace someone who had an almost sinking career and Mimi was not cleared yet from all those issues that sorrounded her that time. I think it's also unfair to read someone wrote that CB didn't even have a single hit when a matter of fact, all those songs she released on that album became famous worldwide especially at this side of the world (Asia). TTR in fact became a singing contest staple and I am not just talking about Through The Rain or Boy (I Need You), remember I Know What You Want? It became a top 3 hit in the US. It's not like Busta or Flidmode was there that it became a hit, Rhyme's Make It Clap even failed to enter the top 40. And if I was to chose between CB and MOAIA, I'd chose the former without a doubt. Listening to 21 tracks off Memoirs that mostly sounded somewhat like rejects from her previous albums is too long and tiring. I usually skip many tracks on MOAIA to be honest.

Make your own compilation (40,493) by Ryan from the Philippines
If I was to make my own compilation of MC songs, it will be called
"Mariah Carey: Inspiration". Reason: Mariah has this wide range of inspirational, gospel-tinged ballads. I have been a fan since Through The Rain, and what made me latch on to MC is her spirituality that resonates even to many of her songs. I want to have an album that I could listen to whenever I feel sad or down. She's always been my instrument to stand up and realize God is always there. Tracklist:
1. Make It Happen (Live Tokyo Dome 1996)
2. Can't Take That Away (Mariah's Theme)
3. Fly Like A Bird
4. Hero
5. When You Believe
6. My Saving Grace (Live Oprah 2003)
7. Vision of Love
8. I Wish You Well
9. I'll Be There
10. Anytime You Need A Friend
11. Whenever You Call
12. One Sweet Day (Live Tokyo Dome 1996)
13. Almost Home
14. Rainbow (Interlude)
15. Through The Rain
16. There's Got To Be A Way
17. Music Box

Re: Will and Ashley (40,441) by Ryan from the Philippines
Will, "There For Me" was a good song but IMO it was an overly generic Mariah ballad. TAOLG's overall production can even beat that of TFM's, but to exclude the lyrics lol. Ashley, yes I thought about "When Christmas Comes" too, but as you can see with my selection all the tracks vary from different things and the firsts of all the succeeding similar songs she released in her entire catalogue. WCC to me is like a Christmas version of "I Don't Wanna Cry" and "Mine Again". And "Christmas Time Is In The Air Again" was something new to my ear. It has this theatrical/animated film OST feel.

NYE 2014 performance (40,351) by Ryan from the Philippines
I like her presence lately, the hair, the body, and the confidence take me back to TEOM era and even as far as the Rainbow. I love it, I enjoyed the whole thing especially "The Art of Letting Go". Wishing everyone all the best. Happy new year to all the lambies! Much love from the Philippines.

Mariah on Michael Buble's Christmas special (40,269) by Ryan from the Philippines
Mariah's recent mishap on the National Tree Lighting Ceremony had been saved through her guesting on Buble's Christmas Special. Yes, there is only one word to describe Carey's performances: stellar.

Nigeria / Billboard (40,234) by Ryan from the Philippines
I've watched a short clip of Mariah singing "The Art of Letting Go" in Nigeria and it wowed me. Seemed like she has recovered so well form thag National Tree Lighting ceremony performance debacle. I hope she continues with this kind of vocal condition. It's sad that I only see Mariah being talked on Facebook because she cracked while singing, on the other side it's also nice to read all their thoughts and concern for her. By the way, congratulations Mariah for, again, having "All I want For Christmas Is You" at #1 on Holiday charts and #26 on Hot 100. Plus #Beautiful being a part of the Hot 100 year end chart.

Facebook vs. YouTube (39,746) by Ryan from the Philippines
I just noticed the YouTube version of TAOLG is different from the Facebook version she posted on 11/11. The YouTube version has additional backing vocals on the last "letting go, ain't it easy". But I am just wondering, what happened to the official YouTube/Vevo audio? Why is it gone and when I open the same video from other website or blogs, it says the video is private? Weird. BTW, as I was writing this one, TAOLG is currently #32 on iTunes USA. Any updates from other countries?

Another M&M (39,699) by Ryan from the Philippines
Got so excited to hear that MC will be performing on Michael Buble's holiday special. Is it going to be a duet or Mimi's going to perform solo? We all know that Buble made his own rendition of "All I Want For Christmas Is You", they may be singing together with that. Or would it be great if they'll sing "Christmas Time Is In The Air Again"? I think their voice match well with the song. I also hope Mariah performs Letting Go on Fallon on the 13th.

TAOLG album (39,647) by Ryan from the Philippines
Ok, so this is just a follow-up. After the shocking photo that Mariah tweeted today that showed Mr. Stevie Wonder in the studio, I came back to the album tracklisting that leaked around August. And as far as I can remember, I was having mixed emotions when I read it because that tracklist could be real or fake (you know, everyone can fabricate stories, etc. especially if it's coming from the internet). There was the song The Art Of Letting Go and people did not once buy the idea/concept, even with the album title. And there was the song I'll Still Be Around with Stevie and produced by Walter Afanassief and some people did not care yet now the duet is confirmed. And a whole lots of surprising and promising things like the R. Kelly duet, the Big Jim Wright produced tracks, etc. My only wish is the W. Afanasieff thing is true. Now, looking back to the TAOLG teaser, some people said it could be an intro and based on the tracklist, prior to TAOLG there is an interlude. I am speculating the music we heard on the teaser is the interlude called 'Lullaby of Birdland'. I'm a bit sceptical when it comes to some things that were not confirmed just like this tracklisting but right now, I just don't know, everthing is slowly turning into reality. Anyway, everything's going to be confirmed as final in due time. Sooner.

Duets for TAOLG album (39,641) by Ryan from the Philippines
I was excited to learn that R.Kelly is a part of the album as confirmed by Mariah herself like a year ago. But now, I can't be more excited to hear that yes, the great Stevie Wonder is in too. Dang! I can't wait to hear their song. I'm sure it will be a wonderful love song from the fact that both singers are ubergenius musically and as songwriters. TAOLG album sounds so promising, really. A must have.

MOAIA (39,632) by Ryan from the Philippines
I couldn't agree more with the article. Memoirs was a lackluster album, like Charmbracelet Part II (though I can tolerate listening to the latter without skipping a track). It was not that bad compared to any artists' album, but I think she went too dark/underground hip-hop with the album concept. Obsessed was not a good kick-off single plus the heavy, unecessary autotuning didn't help. Up Out My Face could have been better and followed by HATEU, Obsessed, Betcha Gon' Know (it could have had been made to a video using the concept of the song), Candy Blng and I Want To Know What Love Is.

TAOLG cover art (39,603) by Ryan from the Philippines
The single cover art is truly something. I mean really, it's the best in years, not just for Mariah but with all artists out there. It's sensual, mysterious and classy. I could not ask for more really. Plus it looks attractive on iTunes and other online music stores.

Halloween photo / in anticipation of TAOLG (39,576) by Ryan from the Philippines
I made one glance at that Halloween photo where she was wearing that pink tiny clothes and I was like this . Hahaha. She is just so hot and I felt like something was pulsating lol. And Roc's face looked so funny. Priceless moment. About TAOLG teaser, first two seconds sounded the intro sound from Can't Take That Away and the next violin variations sounded a little bit of Adele's Skyfall. I'm just so excited to hear the real art of all art that's around this time. But hey, I'm not dissing someone. Lol.

The Art Of Teasing (39,554) by Ryan from the Philippines
Dayum, that intro was a total bomb. I'm just more excited to hear the whole thing. The violins, that's what I am talking about in my past message here. That's what I wanted to hear in her music and not the sick synthesizers. I can't truly wait for 11.11.13.

Whitney song cover (39,529) by Ryan from the Philippines
I would love to hear her cover Ms. Whitney Houston's song. I hope this goes out to her, if you guys remember we were talking about Mariah and Miguel should work together and months later, it did happen. Her voice would sound really fantastic if she covers "You Give Good Love" or "Run To You" or "Where Do Broken Hearts Go". That would be a very nice tribute to one of the world's greatest artist. Or Michael Jackson's "You Are Not Alone" would be great too.

The Art Of Letting Go (39,488) by Ryan from the Philippines
To me, TAOLG is a very good single and album title. Perhaps, some people will initially think it's "cheesy" or worst, "ew" as I read one comment on her Vevo lol. But I think it's like Butterfly, where she used metaphor. You only realize how genius she is once you hear that 1997 ballad to the end. TAOLG to me is like "Art" for music and "Letting Go" for standing up and moving on from the troubles she had in the last 3 years and just being happy and free.

New single in November (39,475) by Ryan from the Philippines
Geez, I don't know what to say. I am just so excited. I can't wait to hear the ballad "The Art Of Letting Go" on 11.11.13.

Signature songs (39,413) by Ryan from the Philippines
Yeah, Through The Rain also (in Asia's case). And I'd just like to add on Alain's comment, TTR and Bye Bye were actually big hits in the Philippines. The former became a staple on singing contests and a karaoke favorite. This song drew a crowd of 40,000 people during her concert in the country in 2003 while the latter became #1, both video and in radios.
