About Ryan from the Philippines: What I love about Mariah is her unique vocal abilities: from hitting the lowest to highest possible notes, amazing background vocals skills, fluid voice layering, etc. IMO, she's the only singer who can do almost all singing techniques out there perfectly. The Art Of Letting Go minus #Beautiful (39,347) by Ryan from the Philippines If Mariah has to delay the album release until December or (sigh) next year, I think she needs to find another carrier single. Something catchier than the abovementioned track. Let it fall as stand-alone single like Triumphant and Almost Home, atleast it will be her biggest non-album single to date. This too much waiting is killing me, yet I'm not loosing faith. I hope the revamp she's doing right now to the album will take it a notch higher than TEOM or E=MC2 or even Memoirs only. Re: Balad feedback (39,333) by Ryan from the Philippines I couldn't agree more. P!nk's "Just Give Me A Reason" is the only #1 Hot 100 song that really hooked me up this year. All the songs that went up to the top didn't make sense anymore. I think Mariah doesn't need another inspirational ballad yet. She just had "Almost Home", yes the song was good but with less promotion, it will stall. IMO, she just has to do a powerful love song with a very good and deep meaning that will touch the hearts of many. Overproduction and synthesizers, artificial band can also kill so she just has to stick with the piano, violins and drums. (Friday 27 September 2013; 14:51)

The dance throwback remix should also fall as an album track only. There had been too many version of #Beautiful out there and I think it's too much to release another one. Just my two cents. Re: Mariah Carey's vocals (39,275) by Ryan from the Philippines I don't think the "vocal decline" was about showing rebellion to the bosses, et. al. As we all know, the vocals on the Butterfly album were at par with her previous works but only unique and specific with the vibe infused to it as a whole. And to me, the vocals she did on that album were even more technical than the great Daydream album. My theory is just her voice become worn out through time. Belting out notes almost every night in 6 years can greatly affect the condition of your larynx, while she has nodules too. Even talking in a wrong manner can also affect it. I've known two young female artists in my country who were singing as a pro less than a decade who also have the same case (damaged larynx). But even in her prime, Mariah also had bad days too (e.g. straining vocals on Anytime You Need A Friend David Letterman live), and the rest of the cases were unknown since Sony opted to do dubbing. Alcohol is also one of the major causes of vocal decline, yet I'm glad she didn't do drugs. (Tuesday 17 September 2013; 15:15)

GMA concert kick-off with Mariah (37,632) by Ryan from the Philippines I thought it would be a good idea that Mariah and Miguel sing "I'll Be There" together on May 26th. What do you think lambs? Not that I'm tired of Trey, he's a good singer but Mimi doing it with Miguel is like a breath of fresh air (i.e. "I'll Be There" with Wanya Morris in MSG). And for sure he's going to be there to sing "Beautiful" (without the hashtag sign since webmaster won't let us lol) with her so why not seize the moment? Just my 2 cents. Mariah and Miguel (37,564) by Ryan from the Philippines I just wish they'll do a duet in the new album. But R Kelly is already in there, so I think it's impossible. Yet an updated version of a single that features another artist will do (Whenever You Call, Angels Cry). And one day, while I was watching AI with my mom, the first thing she noticed was her breasts. Sometimes I do feel like Mariah doesn't need to show much, because she is sexier when she shows less. Just that body-hugging gown kills me. But as the saying goes, if you have have it flaunt it. I guess that's what Mimi is doing. Almost Home (37,241) by Ryan from the Philippines Wow. I have just listened 5 times today and I'm already singing with the pre chorus and the chorus. I love it. It's catchy, it's current and it's moving. I don't care about the little autotune at the verses, because I think it adds to the dynamic feel of the track. This is what I love, it's like you are listening and you see pictures or scenes in your mind. And that notes baby, amazing. Put Diamonds, I'm Like A Bird and Girl On Fire together and you'll get this. I'm not comparing, but what I meant was, you have to put 3 or 4 artists all together to come up with the one and only Mimi. (Tuesday 19 February 2013; 12:23)

Nicki (37,156) by Ryan from the Philippines I like how Nicki comments, but I'm just disgusted with the type of personality she has. Sometimes I feel like she is a stage-hugger and bossy and irritating. So, when the time the table flared up and she felt like Randy also took sides with Mimi, she just couldn't take it because it striked her ego. I hope what Mariah told her of helping the contestants instead of talking about outfits was enough to shut her up. And Mimi, I love you for throwing shades at her, whether intensionally or subconsciously lol (e.g. "we're (Mariah and contestant) both Cinderella and she (Nicki) is the evil sister" and "his hat is like from a cartoon character", then looks at Nicki and realizes the rapper is wearing a weird hat too). Everytime I Close My Eyes, AI, new album (37,103) by Ryan from the Philippines I was browsing my old love songs playlist today and I found EICME in it. I have always been a fan of this song and this showed how good she is in doing background vocals. Not to mention she started out as a back up singer before. And I always have goosebumps everytime I hear that belting part she did at the bridge. BTW, I saw the 2-hour Idol premier last night and Mariah looked amazing, as always, and I liked the way she delivered her comments. It was subtle and sweet at times.
