Side note I think Mariah and Ariana should collaborate on a non Christmas song along the lines of "Touch my body", their voices complement each other. Ok back to the topic, why was Mariah so stiff? Like Ariana was skipping around dancing and enjoying, JHud was moving around but Mariah just looked like she was pinned to one location and wouldn't move. I see this a lot in her appearances. This was an upbeat song and you'd think they'd probably even try to recreate the video choreo, or if there wasn't enough time just walk around. But she was locked in position and looked like she was reading off instructions on a monitor or something. And Brenda's team did due diligence and actually worked those promo games. Mariah's team did nothing this year and released nothing new. So in a way Brenda deserves it. By the way, I re-watched Mimi's AppleTV+ Christmas thingy from a couple of years ago. Not many saw it, but my niece loved it. Oh look Mariah has legs and arms and they're moving. She looks happy and animated. It's amazing how just a couple of years has changed for her. Maybe I'm just being paranoid (our resident annoying cute friend Edward here thinks I am). But I think Mariah is distracted.The lack of new projects or any release this season make me think that Tanaka is still in her mind. That story isn't finished. That's just what I think. Anyway, these jealous haters celebrating on twitter when their faves don't even have a classic like AIWFC. It seems now that we are always going to be in a period of her good vocals and the next year with her having bad vocals. With each album since TEOM her vocals declined some period of time between albums during live events. Also, I want to go on the record and say that her vocals during The Angels Advocate Tour were out of this world. I saw MC in Atlanta and I was blown away with high notes she was hitting that night. Winter in London, Mariah on stage with 65,000 people singing Crimbo songs into the night air, followed by a festive fireworks display. And stream it live on AppleTV. If she did something like this, it would be global news and a massive celebration of the anniversary of her creating something that is truly timeless - unlike these little Christmas shows that nobody really gives two shiny shits about.
