I liked the visuals, they were beautiful and went with the dreamy mood of the song. However I yearn for a time when Mariah will have better stage presence instead of just standing in one place. I want something like what she did with her VH-1 performance of ILT where she wore that orange dress and was full of energy, or her TEOM Grammys performance. I just want her a little more lively on stage. But baby steps I guess she is still nervous of big events which will be broadcasted since her NYE disaster. (Wednesday 10 October 2018; 14:21)

Re: Promo plan (84,588) (84,595) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter If this was during the Stella era, I wouldn't even be disappointed because this is exactly what I would expect, a messy era with no proper roll out. But with her new team doing so well, and completely revamping her public image and in a time when Mariah is getting positive press, I had high expectations from this roll out. I had higher expectations when they dubbed GTFO a buzz single even before its release (as opposed to waiting for it to flop and then calling it that) and made a bold move of releasing yet another brand new song right after. Mariah may not be all that savvy promo wise but her team is bound to know that this won't go anywhere without promo. This wouldn't even work for most recent artists let alone Mariah. I mean she is working with Jay Z, who knows exactly how the business works, her new manager was trained by Benny Medina, then how is this era still like this? (Tuesday 9 October 2018; 14:52)

Promo plan (84,560) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter So I think I've already made it clear that I love the song and it's been a few days and I still have it on repeat, however, I am curious as to what exactly is Mariah's promo plan with the song? She must have been really confident about it to release it as the lead single (and I'm saying lead with emphasis) that too only 3 weeks after she released a new song. She also made it abundantly clear that GTFO was a buzz single and WY is the lead, so I'm curious that why is this song being ignored. Apart from the AMAs performance, we know of no other promotional plan like TV interviews/musical guest appearances, or any other form of press releases/interviews. She has been teasing the music video but is yet to release it. She will be out on international tour soon, so when exactly will the promo kick in? I just read on UKMix, someone was theorizing (one can call it "reaching for it") that maybe Mariah is holding off on the video because she will premier a remix with Drake at the AMAs, and then release the video with Drake. Now if this becomes true, it will be a brilliant move on Mariah's part and I'm here for it. Any of you have any idea about what could Mariah's strategy possibly be? Because no matter how big a bubble Mariah lives in, I don't think she's that daft to think she can top charts or get exposure for her song without any solid promo. (Monday 8 October 2018; 20:38)

In all seriousness though, Mariah can make headlines by finally "knowing" who J.Lo is haha. I hope she sits through the show though, instead of leaving. The exposure will help her. The song is just so soothing and beautiful and I love every time she starts the part with "Oh shots of Remy". I really hope with a good video and strong promotion this song gets some recognition and a decent position on the charts. I wonder if she has remixes planned for the song, I would assume they do since it is the lead single of a much anticipated album. (Thursday 4 October 2018; 18:48)

With You (84,302) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I really liked the song. It's the first Mariah song since YME that I liked on first listen. All the others she released in between, I had to kind of put them on repeat for me to get into them, but I was hooked from the start. It probably won't be a hit, but that's okay, I want her to nevertheless promote it properly because all her last few efforts, I feel like only the lambs knew about it. GTFO (83,760) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I'm glad the song is doing so well on iTunes and I actually appreciate that for a change they mentioned on the very first day that it's a buzz single, instead of waiting to see how it performs. The song hasn't grown on me yet, but I'm glad everyone is loving it and it's getting positive feedback from the fans. I'll have to listen to it a few more times I guess, but I'm happy her team is finally organized and means business instead of being messy. I saw the video and I was disappointed. I mean she looks stunning and 20 years younger, but I was hoping she'd have a story line to the song, a concept. It's the usual vanity shots and sex kitten looks. We know these are Mariah staples but she has great videos which combine they shots with an actual story line, like WBT, "Honey", DFAU, "Heartbreaker", even "Triumphant" (which haters gonna hate, but I love the song and the video, so bye). So the video fell flat. But other than that, I will say that I'm happy a buzz single is being handled way better than Mariah's last album roll out and last few official single roll outs. So JD isn't involved. I heard the snippet, can't judge the song from it, because it could either be the chorus, or the beginning of the song (which hopefully leads to a banger). From the snippet it's chill and mellow, I was hoping for a banger though, but I'm just excited there's new Mariah music. If rumors are true, this will soon be followed by a second single in October called "With You". (Wednesday 12 September 2018; 19:49)

New appearances and promos (82,696) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I'm loving her new appearances and promos. I enjoyed the short "Never Have I Ever" segment with Harper's Bazaar. The Kimmel interview went smoothly, She stayed on point, didn't go off tangent and keep blabbering about irrelevant things. This is the Mariah we need right now. I also enjoyed the short teaser for her upcoming European leg of the Christmas tour. Sorry if this has already been shared. It's nice, festive and cute. She looks gorgeous.
