About T from USA :

Mariah promo (111,392) by T from USA
She's got a busy release week booked. But I notice according this rating tracker site the only shows that really matter in the top 50 rated programs are: ABC's The View, NBC's Today Show, and CBS' Morning. Mariah's only doing the CBS show out of the those top three. I wonder if she had a deal with CBS for the Vanguard Award that all promo on networks has to happen on CBS this time. Drew's and JHudd's shows are on CBS. Jennifer Hudson and Kelly Clarkson don't even make the top 50. I didn't think she would do Kelly's anyway because she usually makes her guests sing lol, and you she'd try and get some vocals. Too much pressure. But it could also be that Kelly's show is affiliated with NBC. It's a shame she couldn't do The View, as the ratings are still massive. Same with America's Got Talent surprisingly reaches 4.5 million people per episode.

I'm so proud that Mariah improved so much and gave a performance that is worthy of her legendary catalogue.

Looking back on Glitter (111,370) by T from USA
I like the idea of it being "cover heavy" as it takes the pressure of being a full Mariah Carey album for her first time out. It gives it a soundtrack feel too. I would've definitely had OHOMO make the cut. Also Lead The Way as the first single. I think after LTW went to #1 which it would've have because JLo couldn't have stolen those vocals from her, then the other singles would've fallen in place and she probably would've had about four well promoted singles in total that era. The only wildcard would've been the breakdown. If it was inevitable or just a result of LB struggling and her working extra hard to try and make it happen?

Looking back on Glitter (111,335) by T from USA
After Rainbow, and the D, F, H, H, first singles maybe 2001 was the moment she should've changed it up and not been so predictable with a lesser version of a first up-tempo single (sure if the original Firecracker was released that would've been better). But maybe the first single should've been her first single ballad since Vision of Love. New label, a reset. In hindsight I would've picked Lead The Way. It's Mariah's favorite song on the album and it's arguably the best song on the album. It would've won over the general public too, and that would've had a positive effect on the movie. Second single could've been, Loverboy. Then If We, followed by Last Night A DJ Saved My Life. Glitter was the original wrong single choices album.

Sarah McLachlan vs Mariah Carey (111,308) by T from USA
So Sarah McLachlan is kind of in the same situation as Mariah Carey right now. She is 57 years old (MC is 55 years old) and she hasn't released an album for eleven years (MC is at 7 years). So the similarities are there. But that's where they end. Sarah is doing amazing interviews where she just comes across as a real human being, who has been through things, is raising teens and has been able to create a new album. She seems so likeable and relatable. Now granted, she never had the pressure Mariah had, and never reached the heights Mariah reached, but maybe something can be said for a career that was totally in one's control vs a career that was so controlled. It's a shame Mariah didn't get the freedom Sarah always had since the start. But again, then maybe Mariah wouldn't have sold 200 million albums and singles.

Brazil concert (111,201) by T from USA
Mariah has been looking at the monitor ever since 2013 when she went viral for forgetting the lyrics on tour to WBT. Something happened after her fall and broken shoulder. I always suspected they gave her some serious pain killer stuff to keep her going as she is a business that just cannot turn off the lights especially in the middle of promoting an album. Maybe she got hooked on something like opioids? Maybe she still has the addiction and that is why she is being moved from spot to spot by Michael Richardson. He was also moving her around in the same fashion in 2000/2001 when she was carrying around that pink Hello Kitty boom box. We all remember how the end of 2001 went. I wonder how it will end this time.

I'll be listening before hearing other people's opinions (111,160) by T from USA
The idea that I would let people rain on my parade before even hearing the music and forming an opinion for myself after waiting seven years is mind boggling. Taking in others opinions is part of the fun, but only after I form my own first.

Two Moon Men later (111,039) by T from USA
So great that Mariah received two trophies last night and completed her trophy wall from all the big award shows on the Globe. The last thing to do is the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and then there is nothing else left to achieve.

Last day to vote (110,960) by T from USA
Apparently it's the last day to vote for MTV VMA's. It's double the votes all day. Let's go Mi. Vote here.

LA Reid (110,912) by T from USA
Since LA Reid is executive producing the new album Here For It All, I wonder why he didn't call in his former clients like Usher, Pink [sic] or Andre 3000 to lend some features that could've maybe got people excited.

Random thought (110,911) by T from USA
I view Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis like I view David Foster, which is replacement Walter's. I would rate her fourth biggest hitmaker co-producer to be the short lived C+C Music Factory. Only because we could imagine if David Cole wouldn't have died so young the hits she would've made with them would've blown the world. David Morales has to be on the list of greatest collaborators with MC as well.

Year end record? (110,893) by T from USA
I would be higher on the year end record but half my comments don't get published, freedom of speech huh? Anyway, despite the censorship, I still think this is the absolute best Mariah related message board on the web. One where the people are pretty realistic and respectful, and I hope it stays around as long as Mariah does.

Superbowl Mariah (110,892) by T from USA
She has the hit songs but it's more about the energy she can bring. People wait all year for the half time show and it would be a total bust to have someone just stand in one spot for 15 minutes.

It's because all the classics, and hits she's ever made has come down to working with three producers; Walter A, Jermaine Dupri, and Tricky Stewart (to a lesser degree). So you know when her and JD get together you get some good music.

One week left for voting Mariah's Type Dangerous for VMA (110,850) by T from USA
It''s down to one week guys. Can she top Sza and the Weeknd and win her first Moon Man of her career? Keep voting daily, and remember at 1pm (USA EST time) you get double the votes. Let's bring it home for the Era of Mi.

One long month (110,807) by T from USA
What's worse is there has only been one music video in almost five months. That is so not like Mariah. I hope she wasn't forced into releasing an album before she is ready to really undertake the amount of promotion it takes. I've been seeing that Amazon pre-orders is currently only at 1,200 albums pre-sold in the USA. Add the 5,000 that it will due on iTunes and that is going to be a very low first week debut. A hit song sells an album, and unfortunately she doesn't have that. Word of mouth will be an uphill battle for her, the only hope is the MTV VMA's turns it all around for her. I hope everyone is taking a second out of their day to vote for Mariah and Type Dangerous on MTV.com for the VMA's. That second award could go a long way in helping her get the word out about upcoming music.

Sugar Sweet solo (110,778) by T from USA
The Japanese track list confirms that it is a solo version of Sugar Sweet as they also included the bonus track with the girls as the remix. This is on the physical copies of the album so go and order the vinyl and CD if you want a Mariah only version of the song.

Double the votes double the fun (110,691) by T from USA
I just realized that every day from the 1pm-2pm hour EST you can cast 20 votes for the VMA's. That means you can double Mariah's chances of winning two Moon Men if you do it during that hour. I think she'd love to receive the award for best R&B video for Type Dangerous.

This is not a greatest hits project, it's a brand new studio album (110,638) by T from USA
Everyone I know says the two new songs are just as good as anything in her catalogue. Even if I dare say they weren't exactly as top notch they would bite my head off. (Looking at you ukmix people.) So maybe Mariah could start this historic VMA performance with Sugar Sweet in its entirety. Bring the two girls on stage and after Shenseea's verse then transition to her hits. End with Type Dangerous. Put the songs out there to the public and let them either sink or swim, stand behind this new project. But please Mimi don't bury them in the middle of your legendary classics.

MTV win (110,634) by T from USA
Let's continue to vote for her for the R&B category for Type Dangerous. Let's have Mariah own the night with not one, but two awards. It would be cool if she gets characters from the music videos to cameo in this performance. Jerry O'Connel etc. Make this an event and make it re-watchable. I would rather her pick her top 6 music videos and have a little fun with them as opposed to the standing in one spot like the American idol performance.

My 5 would be: Start with: Heartbreaker (it was her peak MTV-ness), Type Dangerous, Obsessed, Honey, Touch My Body, We Belong Together. Then Anderson .Paak comes out and they do the duet.

Yes, And (110,625) by T from USA
Too bad 'Twilight Zone" wasn't the first single off Ariana's album last year and the the re-release single this April was "Yes, And" (featuring Mariah). It could've served as her first single from HFIA too. It would've went to #1 for sure. Then Type Dangerous could've been the second single to keep the momentum going.

Just a reminder that local and international fans alike can keep voting for Type Dangerous and Mariah to win her first MTV VMA. Keep voting on their website daily.

"Mirage" (110,548) by T from USA
It's a lamb thing. You are not allowed to state the obvious without being called all kinds of nasty things like hater, troll, etc. The same thing was happening to Whitney and we all know how that turned out. The difference is Mariah actually listens and keeps in touch with fans so there is a chance people can get through to her if they are being honest. But they rather keep her in this state if it means more meaningless performances and songs. I'd rather she heal and come back stronger than ever. Some lambs are so fake it's insane.

Back to chart obsession (110,547) by T from USA
Mariah sets the tone and everyone follows. That's the way it's always been when people idolize someone. About the album release, I think it was good to start the first single in early June as it gives this "era" a full six months before December and Christmas. However I would've released the album much sooner so she can take advantage of all this promo (especially the VMA's on September 7th). Here's the schedule I think would've benefited her the most:

June 6th: Type Dangerous single
August 1st: Champaign & Confetti (ft. Anderson Paak) single
August 22nd: HFIA album release
October 3rd: Sugar Sweet/Here For It All single
November 1st: It's time... (for a deluxe edition)
