Quantity vs quality (105,082) by Robert-Anthony from United States 6/10 quality type of album is going to be what puts MC back on top. Back to back Top 5 hits on the new album would put a smile on many of our faces. It could lead to a deluxe edition being released with 2-3 new tracks. Something tells me that we are in for something better than Caution and MIAM. MC is being really quiet about who she is working with this time. New projects (105,022) by Pedro from Brazil According to a Twitter account that is supposedly an insider, Mariah's lead single will arrive between mid-February and May, the album musical style will be similar to E=MC2 and will include recordings from the studio sessions. The music video has been already filmed. Well, I don't know about the overall accuracy of this account, but every since I've been following it they were right about everything they leaked. They knew about Ariana's imminent comeback, video, album title and imagery long before it was released as well as other artists, so I hope they'll be right about MC too. The reintroduction of Mariah Carey (104,944) by Tevin from USA Sounds like an awesome plan. I hope it all comes to fruition. But, not to sound like a Debbie downer, Mariah has definitely got to work on her vocals before promoting anything. Everyone knows how tough promotion can be on vocals. Think of how amazing she sounded at the start of the TEOM promo tour, compared to how she sounded during the actual tour for the album, and that was when he vocals were a lot stronger and more reliable. My thought is for her promo appearances she should do a mix of pre recorded videos (think late night v time mix video), plus semi pre-recorded uptempo song, and a fully live strip back ballad, where she can take her time and sing her heart out. The reintroduction of Mariah Carey (104,943) by Robert-Anthony from United States I like the way L.A. Reid and Usher are promoting his new album, Coming Home, which is going to be releases on the same day as his Super Bowl LVIII Half-time performance. He is bringing his career back home by working with producers and songwriters he had worked with in the past and some new producers. Maybe MC needs to do something similar that will reintroduce her back to the pop and R&B charts. I say a reintroduction because MC is going need an album promotional plan that is going make MC16 stay on the minds of music lovers. She needs a new team to help her accomplish reintroducing her back to radio and the media. She is going to have to release two iHeart Music radio singles before the album's release with one being a huge ballad. MC16 should not have any rap features since MC is older now. MC will need to some type of huge album release event a week prior to the album's release. Maybe a 5-night performance on The Jimmy Kimmel Show could be a first for MC. No pre-recorded tracks or gimmicks during the performances should heard. There should be just raw soul stirring performances each night similar to her MTV Unplugged performances. Finally, I would like to see the album released on same day as a primetime interview special with Robin Roberts. An interview with Robin Roberts would be what MC needs to ensure MC16 is heard by new music listeners. If she does a traditional album release, MC16 will be dead upon arrival. Love for Memoirs (104,876) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Memoirs is gonna have its 15th anniversary this year and wow time flies. Might be an unpopular opinion but I love Memoirs through and through. It's a shame the album wasn't a huge success. It had so many amazing songs. Some of which were so different from Mariah's usual sound. UOOMF with Nicki should have been a hit, they both killed it on the song. Obsessed was so fun and fresh. I love the ballads. "More than just friends" should have been released as a single and same for BGK. I love "Ribbon" too and its unreleased remix. "Inseparable" was a cute moment too. Basically I think it's one of those albums where I would have the least of any skips. I also wish the "H.A.T.E.U" remix was released properly and the general public knew about it. Best Love Takes Time performance (104,623) by Andrew from the UK I never *got* liking the debut voice over what came after. 92-94 may have had ever-so-slightly less power, but the tone was more silky and fluid. I always say I want a jazz album by Mariah which I still do. I think Mariah could also do some country, gospel and retro-soul. She can sing every genre like she never did something else. That's rare.
