The Rarities (95,439) by We are lambily from USA
Ugh she just drop the tracklist and I know it's gonna be fire. Mariah really has blessed us with so much this year already, I'm so happy and excited for her. She also dropped vinyls for her entire catalogue. I'm a happy lamb.

We are in for a ride (95,344) by We are lambily from USA
I'm so happy for Mariah, she has reached a pivotal moment of her life. This pandemic has been horrible on all levels but the only good thing that came out of this for Mariah when I thinking [sic] about it, it's her spending and creating more memories with her children.

It's not every [sic] often legends get to sit back and reminisce of their lives and actually put out a memoir. Her speaking about her family will make her connect with so many people, not everybody has a perfect family. Morgan is still a bitter big brother, someone made a joke about him photoshopping and he said something in the lines of "You must have me confused with another Carey."

It's not a cheap ass tell all, even though I would've loved it personally. It will be a sophisticated Mariah taking the high road and sharing with us her life. I'm more than excited to learn more about her pre-fame life.

I truly hope she does a book tour with social distancing guidelines of course.

Re: Article: Mariah after midnight (95,316) (95,318) by We are lambily from USA
Was that supposed to be funny or shady?

His statements on the article [are] the first of many where confused white dudes share their unnecessary, unwanted opinion on [The meaning of Mariah Carey]. The way he completely melted down because of one article. Ugh can't wait for the book. I know Fox viewers and the angry ex lambs are who abandoned her 1996 are gonna melt in less than a month.

One thing they have never liked is Mariah being proud of her blackness and embracing her culture. This ride will be one I will enjoy wholeheartedly. Let's go Mariah Carey.

Re: Article: Mariah after midnight (95,302) (95,315) by We are lambily from USA
The book description: Described as telling an "unfiltered story" of Carey's "improbable and inspiring journey of survival and resilience as she struggles through complex issues of race, identity, class, childhood, and family trauma during her meteoric rise to music superstardom".

Andrew: "All I saw here was Mariah trying to attach herself to current racial tensions in the United States which is not helpful and, frankly, really obnoxious."

Mariah's entire career: Mariah has always talked about her background as an interracial child and even sang about it so eloquently in Outside. Even when she accepted her [Billboard Icon] award [in] 2019 she spoke on it, it has really shaped the strong, resilient women she is. I honestly wasn't a super fan of the title at first but now I really see the vision behind it. The meaning of Mariah Carey. There is so many reasons and experiences that mold you into the person you are.

The article: "The Emancipation of Mimi was a reassertion of Carey as an artist, her opportunity to set the tone for the next phase of her career, one she wanted to be centered around her Blackness."

Andrew: "I'd rather she just said she is incredibly thankful all that she has."

Mariah: "Don't say she takes it all for granted. I'm well aware of all I have."

I never thought that ending of the song, "they'll never know the real me" was also meant towards her fans. Some people will just never understand Mariah, but this time around she will make it a lot easier in [The meaning of Mariah Carey]. So excited.

You don’t know her (95,299) by We are lambily from USA
The title is obviously meant for all the Karen's in the world who still don't get her and who left her in 1996. Lol just for laughs.

This new New York article really made me even more excited for the memoir and I never thought that was possible. It's gonna be explosive and not in a way that most would expect. All that divaish are for laughs, time to get serious. This is seriously one of her best articles I have ever read about her.

Andrew mentioned a while ago that most people on this board prefer 1990-1996 music and honestly that's because most of you guys are middle aged white dudes.

During those years her music was mostly directed towards her "pop audience" and she obviously is grateful for that success but it was really the r&b/hiphop community she wanted attention from and be a part of. Butterfly album is more than her magnum opus, it's really her. Mariah Carey the human being and Mariah Carey the artist.

If sales and achievements meant to her as much as her art she would released [Music Box] 2.0 straight after [Butterfly] but she came back with a even more hip hop/rnb sounding album. Like someone mentioned before that she would trade all of her success for the same recognition Mary J gets. And that says a lot.

This new book will honestly heal Mariah's image in so many ways. And I can't wait for Mariah to remind the general people of her life, struggles and blessings. Let's hope we get a documentary after this pandemic.

It's time for Mariah to do something so many legends weren't able to do, tell their own story unfiltered. And to change the general people conception of her.

Re: Triumphant (94,820) (94,823) by We are lambily from USA
Randy, [there] is a difference between not feeling her songs and just posting hateful stuff every time she releases something. Back to [Triumphant], that's why she gave us her best remixes since [TEOM], she put a lot of work into her music.

Sorry but don't put [Butterfly] next to [Snoozebox] and [Daydream] with all of its skips. But yes I do believe Faded, Ydkwtd, [#Beautiful] etc hold its own against her previous work.
