The biggest hitmaker in the industry. Her legacy is not appreciated enough for me and we are getting their [sic] slowly and I hope while she is still here with us. And now 2022. Mariah Carey is #15 on Bloomberg's Power Rankings of artists - despite not releasing any new album or live shows. The metric integrates album sales, streams, tours, live streams and more. But as usual the haters gonna hate or might I even say the wolf in lambs clothing. And this year we getting a new freaking album and so many other surprises. But I want her to give us at least an uptempo club banger after Christmas on New Years Eve. Take advantage of your title MC. I want her to release 2-3 songs before that. "Higher love" is one of my faves and I believe "I've been thinking about you" could be the next big thing. I want Mariah to forget us and really try one more time and cater her music to the general public. I know a top 20 isn't far fetched without much effort. Mariah is good for life, after this era whatever comes, I'm just gonna enjoy the music and not care. I also believe talent-wise she is years ahead of the same people. I don't care if you spent 70 years in the biz, Mariah accomplished more in [her] first 5 years then she did for whoever long lol. Mariah is really a rare diamond, for being so successful yet still so talented. Rare combination, most people on top of the charts aren't the most talented ones. It was more about the fallout and the way he broke our girl's heart. I just don't get some of you guys obsession with him and your urge for Mariah to work with him again. Imagine selling the rights to argubaly the most successful/important song of all time. He is still doing everything he can to hurt her and many of you can't see that. I don't believe one bit of his story regarding All I Want, he is a liar and untrustworthy. Mariah herself has been robbed credits for her work specifically the debut album, she would never do that to somebody. If there is one thing I ever want from Mariah unrelated to music, it's to never get near that creature again. I just know he is bound to hurt her or use her again. Memoir: "A memoir is a narrative, written from the perspective of the author, about an important part of their life." Second of all don't come here with your condescending attitude and start demanding stuff. Mariah doesn't owe you anything. Especially as someone who is a self-professed fan "see how I didn't write lamb". We know the deal about her siblings, two parasites who would do anything to get a check from Mariah. These are Mariah's recollections, and just based on everything we know about her ex-sister and ex-brother, I believe her to the fullest. Mariah doesn't gain anything on lying but they do. Signature hit song (97,592) by We are lambily from USA I feel like aside from her songwriting and producing skills, what separates Mariah the most from her other peers/most legends is that she honestly has no signature song. Depending on the demographics you get different answers. The only other artist I can think of is Michael Jackson. My fave male artist, I hope Mariah samples him even ask his estate for some unrealised material. But anyways let's get into it. - All I want for Christmas is you is definitely her most successful song and one of the greatest songs ever made. This song needs honestly a special award or something, the impact and its longevity is remarkable and I'm honestly just fascinated by that song. - Hero is another possible contender and it was one of the first songs I immediately fell in love and along with CTTA made me a stan. She said she would love to work with Mariah even then, but I believe "she blamed it on timing and wanting to finish her album". The truth was, if Mariah had a better song, she would've jumped on it. And since I'm in a mood of sharing, let me say... No offence but looking back at the [Caution] album, A No No was truly one of the weakest songs Mariah has ever done, I swear [Infinity] that many love to trash is even better, I haven't played that track willingly over a year, unless I play the whole album and just soak it all in. That rapper Shawni was so promising, the whistles were cute, I love the world play, the songs just sounds really dated. Valentines mix (97,370) by We are lambily from USA Wow, I'm in completely awe of Mariah, that performance is one of my faves. I literally can't stop replaying it. The arrangement, the vocals, the agility, the groovy and jazzy feeling, this type of setting does wonder to her voice. The fact that she did the first verse better than 05 too and the second verse didn't get enough praise for me. I hope we get more of these moments. Don't know if you have heard of the tiny desk home concert "Start with Jazmine Sullivan" it would be perfect for Mariah. Mariah is without no doubt the most talented artist ever. (97,224) by We are lambily from USA I don't know why certain people on this board like to pretend that Mariah hasn't garnered any success over the past years. - She sold 6+ million units in the past year alone. - Elusive and Caution era sold combined over 15+ million units. - She just passed Katy Perry as the 5th most streamed female artist on Pandora of all time, she is in top 20 most streamed female artists on Apple Music and overall one of the most streamed artists who debuted before 2000s. - She was the 20th most streamed female artist on all platforms in 2020 with 800+ millions streams. Never forget that she also sold over 200+ million actual records while her streaming is better than most of the main pop girls lol. - Her book sold almost 800k copies in the first two weeks, her special was one of Apple TV most successful projects and they already want her back, with unlimited budget. That's crazy. I could literally go on and on, The business that is Mariah Carey has never flourished more. I'm grateful for everything and hopeful we haven't seen the best of Mariah Carey yet. They didn't even highlight the single on Ariana page, since she has around 70 million monthly followers who listen to her, it would benefit the song greatly. The song is doing amazing with pure sales and today is the day the song gets counted for radio. Let's hope for an Christmas miracle. (Sunday 6 December 2020; 20:01)
