Letting go all Mimi's antics ain't easy (39,833) by Blake from USA
Ok as an American fan since 1991, I have to agree with the people saying American fans lost interest. However, I never did and never will, but there is much to be said about Mariah post Sony. One, she went on her own, she left the ballad Mariah at Sony really and became an R-N-B Queen, which for me I liked but most fans will only remember her for her love songs, ballads and Christmas song. That being said, Mariah lives in a bubble where she comes off to the public as loosely wrapped, uncomfortable, awkward, she puts her foot in her mouth a lot of the time. Her interviews I can't even watch anymore. Jimmy Fallon was cool but she still didn't even attempt the hight note at the end of the song. Most of my friends call her a "whack job". She throws Nick under the bus a lot. "No I don't want Nick on the show, just JD" and clearly no matter whom is managing her, they could give a sh*t about her image, which is in the gutter. Because she lives in this bubble, she is unaware of her lost popularity. She is so genuine to us lambs, but her image is a train wreck and because of how she is clueless to it she will not gain any new fans and unfortunately with her image and age, radio stopped caring with a lot of US fans. I will always support her, but I disagree with so much about Mrs. Carey Cannon.

Stop comparing it to WBT (39,735) by Blake from USA
OK seriously I love it. It's refreshing and it's a story telling memoir. It's the kind of song that grows on you but her non-whispery vocal is flawless and I don't care if it isn't repeating the same ol' cookie cutter chorus. It's what radio needs now. I'm tired of Katey Perry, Goo Goo Gone, Lady Gaga, Rhianna. Same old sh*t. This is far from WBT. Welcome back Mimi and for the haters, go to Mimi in your contacts, press delete. Thank you.

Alrighty (39,669) by Blake from USA
Is it me or are people confused that Monday the 11th is just a new single? It's not the album, it's the title track people. Katy Perry mentions "Mariah Carey" on her new album, I forget what song though. Celine's new album has a Stevie duet as well, only it's his classic hit "Overjoyed". I don't care for it. I hope Mariah's duet is an original and not a cover song with Stevie. Just saying. Mariah's photo shoot looks months ago, because clearly she has gained the weigh back. I do wish she would dress smarter.

Signature song (39,391) by Blake from USA
It is the most performed, especially at the fan's request. Everybody knows it's "Hero". A holiday song is not it, no matter how much it sells each year. Mariah performs this at tragedy events, and her encore usually. This is the song that made Mariah into a global superstar. The fact that she wrote it for Gloria Estefan just shows how much fate took over and let it be as it is. This is her signature song and always will be. This is always the case for an artist to have their peak, not in popularity, but in this notion that Hero is an anthem. It's about overcoming so much and even WBT or AIWFC can change that fate. Sorry guys,it will always be 1993 - Hero.

I pray you are right. That is exactly what I want to hear from Mariah's team. I hope she reinvents the wheel. Thank you for posting that, only I have to ask is this coming from you or an actual source?

Cindi Berger? I did know she was back with her. Is she the Emancipation era or was that Benny Medina? Anyone help me out here?

Fav unreleased song (38,594) by Blake from USA
This is hard to do, because "Everything Fades Away" and "Do You Think of Me" are equally amazing. Honorable mentions: Slipping Away and There For Me.

Postponed again (38,372) by Blake from USA
As bummed as I am about the push back, I am excited that Mariah is putting so much into this album. I hope a second single is released prior to the release date. I agree with the others on here that Mariah went back to the drawing board and thought about her legacy, especially being all about the voice, a songbird, and throw Idol into the mix with every female pop contestant trying to imitate her, she's definately has some great songs in store for us lambs. I only hope the world is ready and willing to give her another comeback. Nothing will top TEOM, but her legacy is about to have some moments, especially with her mentioning to Billboard last year how the album will have more ballads than usual. This is why we loved her to begin with. As far as a classics album, i.e. covers - Mariah is a songbird and she is damn good at writing. Don't request another Rod Stewart covers the classics album; it ain't going to happen. Jus saying, maybe a jazz vocal album in 10 years. Maybe.

Fav lead single and sampling (38,355) by Blake from USA
My favourite would have to be Fantasy, but Honey is a close second. TMB as an honorable mention. About WBT, it was the bigger hit but TMB's video still has people talking. So funny and MC looked smoking. I don't get the fuss with the sampling. Alot of haters rip on Mariah and say she's not a songwriter if she uses samples in her songs (Loverboy, Fantasy, Dreamlover, Heartbreaker, etc.) but others sing or rap over an entire song that was a hit years earlier: Puff Daddy, Sean Kingston, etc. I think if it works with the melody that was written, good for them.

Ok so you are all saying (38,303) by Blake from USA
Ok so you are all saying to keep my pants on and calm down because this video shoot is only a remix video? Not another single (collaboration with Miguel)?

Seriously? I wanted a solo MC style, but if the tune is dynamtie, then I can live with it.

The Art of.... (38,274) by Blake from USA
Honestly, I love the title. It's refreshing to me and vulnerable at the same time. Let's keep in mind how much Mariah has been through since Memoirs: Nick's health issues, having twins which she experienced bringing life into the world and what is did to her body and mind is huge. Many can call her human now, in a good way. But slowing down and taking time to have a family. This all huge for her considering her catalog is close in years. I never thought after E=MC2, we would have another album a year later. Mariah has been saving songs since 2009 and she is about to reveal a lot that is obviously real close and intimate to her. Letting go is a beautiful thing that represents moving on maybe with the world's issues and whatnot. I am geeked for it and if this is the album cover, I freaking love it. Divaness stripped down and giving it like only MC can. I only pray the next single is an uptempo smash-a-ru. Sing it with me now.

Redo album cover (38,179) by Blake from USA
My choice would have to be Memoirs. I loved the white packaging and magazine insert with reworking her debut images, but the triple layered Mariah with her sugar tits hanging out was not fitting for the music. It was too arrogant in my opinion. I agree, I hope this album will be a short title. I vote for "Lambily", dedicated to the lambs around the globe. Lol.

Love Story and the Katy Perry reference (38,173) by Blake from USA
"Love Story" from E=MC2 is the song I always wished would have been a single, because it's such a good song. The MTV acoustic snippet she did in 08' was so good. This song is way better than Taylor Swift's hit song that is just lame in my opinion. "It's a love story baby, just say yes." Cheesy. Where Mariah's has very cohesive thoughtful lyrics and a catchy melody. Too bad. I guess we file that one away with Migrate as "what could have been". I only said Mariah's videos could be alot more creative like Katy's, because Katy's has a storyline, where Mariah just wants to lay down and act sexy in her videos. For me, that gets old. I don't want Mariah to be something she is not musically or artistically, like Katy's Alien theme E.T., or 80's braces TGIF, but Mariah needs to have story lines again. Otherwise its just weird and boring. I love the storyline of ILT and WBT tied together, but she doesn't seem to care about making quality videos anymore. #Beautiful and Triumphant could have been much better videos. It's the same ol' thing; her on camera wearing near nothings and lacking any storyline. She is better than this.

Anticipation of 723 (38,169) by Blake from USA
I totally agree with you Stacey. I was just thinking how I hope the next single is rolled out before the album drops. What I think is cool is how #beautiful is how its so different for Mariah. I want the next single to explode in the way WBT did but not as a cookie cutter piano driven ballad. I love Mariah's creative process with trying new things. I was never a fan of "Loverboy" or "Obsessed", but I have to appreciate those songs for trying new things musically and artistically, plus they were hit singles. I think if Mariah focused on creative videos like Katy Perry, her music would sell better. Just my opinion of course. And yes, please give us a good album title Mariah. We are waiting dahling.

MDJ has dropped the ball. They used to be better at updating "daily", now I read the news on the web and see the same news a week later on MDJ. The info zone hasn't been updated since Jan 2010. That site needs a major makeover and the staff has to want to keep lambs updated.

Ballads and live performance this weekend (38,145) by Blake from USA
I forgot about "And you don't remember" and "Can't take that away". Amazing songs. This just proves its too hard to pick a favorite. I agree with Brandon; "The roof" and "Breakdown" are some of my personal favs. I don't think of them as ballads though. I didn't get Mariah's picks for her ballad release track listing. "How much" (with Usher) is not a ballad. Ballads were always referred to as slow, vocal driven tunes. I think this was the better performance this far but Mariah cracked a bit and Miguel's harmony signing does't work. He comes off weird on stage. I think he should stick to singing his part in the single version of that register. His falsetto is nice, but the harmony is weak in my opinion. Nothing would make me happier than seeing Mariah perform it solo.

Album minus a # (38,106) by Blake from USA
I think it would be great if the album was named in honor of the lambily. TLC, and others have done this to show their appreciation to their fans. This could potentially bring back some fans that lost interest due to Mariah's cleavage and "dahhlin divaness". WBT sure brought them back. I hope the next single is a smash as well and just her as a soloist. This album needs some major hits on it, top 10's. Although I still would love to see her break or meet the Beatles at 20 #1's. I wish she was on Letterman, Leno, and Conan promoting #Beautiful but I feel promotion is very minimal until the album is ready, which could be pushed back like alot of previous releases. I bet it's late summer or early fall the way things are rolling.

Idol and tour/album (38,104) by Blake from USA
As happy as I am about Mariah quitting Idol, the world tour does not excite me. Her voice is strictly beautiful as a studio artist these days. I get bummed at her shows when I don't hear "Vision of love" and "Make it happen" the way she used to sing them live. Alot of artists never change the way the sing their hits, only the arrangement, but Mariah has the need to change the arrangement and her style of singing them. This is done to accommodate her voice and where it lacks, including using her backup singers to sing louder than her. Just annoys me. However, I am a lamb for life and I am excited for the album title and hopefully a release date soon. I do agree that this is the first time we have a hit single and no album info. I hate that, but keep in mind what happened with "Triumphant". That is perhaps still the lead single to Mariah and #Beautiful is the ballad follow up she talked about for months. "Almost home" was a soundtrack work so we can't count that, although I feel had she promoted it, it could have debuted on the Hot 100.
