About Will from Australia: Lunatic crazy about Ms Carey

All In Your Mind blown (94,695) by Will from Australia
What the hell is that? I’m shook with that snippet she released on IG. How was that not the actual version? Love love love.

Re: MC30 every Friday (94,592) (94,597) by Will from Australia
"According to BMI, Mariah registered 2 songs written with Barry Mann, one half of the famous songwriting duo Mann-Weil with his wife Cynthia Weil."

"Breaking The Chains"
"Can You Hear Me?"

I took this from some fandom site so not sure how true it is but hopefully we're going to get to hear it

The Mariah Report (94,363) by Will from Australia
Delighted the guys at the Mariah Report have returned with their podcast after a year hiatus. We all need some cheering up.

Random songs (93,041) by Will from Australia
I woke up wide awake at 2am last night and Bliss started playing in my head, specifically the whistle section. The mad thing is that I've never been a fan of the song, but then maybe subconsciously I have been.

Song right now (93,018) by Will from Australia
What Mariah song is everyone addicted to at the moment? I can't get enough of "If You Should Ever Be Lonely" in the Heartbreaker remix, I'd love her to release that as a stand-alone song

Re: Non-single favourites (92,989) (93,017) by Will from Australia
I checked my most played songs on Spotify for last year and Lookin In was the non-single there so I guess it's that.

Re: We Belong Together (92,927) (92,929) by Will from Australia
Well she kinda did recreate it with Don't Forget About Us, same formula and went No.1. Then kept to that format for I Stay In Love and also Angel's Cry, two songs I believe she thought where massive hits similar to WBT but unfortunately the public had moved on.

Re: Mariah needs to recover her voice and stop touring (92,908) (92,909) by Will from Australia
Honestly I reckon Mariah over sang during the Daydream tour and strained her vocals beyond repair. I'll never forget my first listen of the Butterfly album and how sad I felt at listening to her tone, especially Butterfly. Even Whenever You Call which floored me had me giving side eyes to parts of her phrasing etc. I still thought she was in a league of her own but something had changed and drastically. Then when she sang Butterly live in promotions, oh dear. Comparing that to Hero at the Tokyo Dome only 12 months or so prior, just sad.

In The Fix (92,835) by Will from Australia
I’m interested to know what everyone thinks about this, if Mariah had the option to have surgery on her vocal chords and remove the noodles but would risk losing her voice altogether or gaining back Daydream tour vocals, would you say do it?

Re: Jessica Simpson (92,749) (92,753) by Will from Australia
When Jessica Simpson came out, even though Britney and Christina where pushed as being the "new" Mariah in terms of challenging her for popularity, I really thought Jessica was going to be huge. She looked stunning, very MC-ish, and that "I Wanna Love You Forever" was like something Mariah would have recorded. Tommy Motorola actually said he thought she sounded like MC and Walter A produced two songs on her second album, "When You Told Me You Loved Me" is worth a listen for those who are still nostalgic about old Mariah.

Roc Nation (92,703) by Will from Australia
So I just read that for the first time Roc Nation is co-producing the Super Bowl halftime show. I wonder does this open the door for a possible MC slot in the coming years, especially if she landed a commercial hit album?

Re: Iconic photoshoots (92,668) (92,682) by Will from Australia
Honestly any still from the Breakdown video is amazing in terms of her best looks:

Wearing the top hat
The slick hair without the hat in the corset
The crown and the feathers in the hair

Sublime, she went close in the video to I Stay In Love to mimicking the showgirl look, special mention to Always Be My Baby shots too.

Touring (92,665) by Will from Australia
It's funny but years ago I always wanted Mariah to do more tours and would have given anything to see the Daydream tour but she never came to my country. Now (after attending four concerts in three countries) I wish she'd give the tours a break and concentrate on making music. But I get that she needs it as touring is the main source of income vrs new music.

Pop Hip Hop crossover (92,642) by Will from Australia
I've never quite got why Mariah gets all the applause for making pop and hip hop collaborations a thing when it was done for years before her. And the claim that "but she made it mainstream" is just lies because the biggest selling song of 1992 worldwide was "Black or White" by MJ, The King of Pop - which featured a heavy rap verse. Who at that time was the most famous person in the world and the song went number one everywhere. Now if anyone made it mainstream I'd argue that that was the song, but even in 1986 Run DMC and Aerosmith had a Hot 100 No.4 with "Walk This Way". I'm sure there are countless other examples pre Fantasy. If anything, I would say Mariah made the image of a wholesome girl next door getting ghetto with rap thugs a thing and it's shock factor became its legacy.

Re: The Remixes re-imagined (92,635) (92,641) by Will from Australia
I just screenshot that list to explore Bill so thank you. I trust your taste and knowledge of Mariah to already know that these are the go to remixes and tbh I've so many singles of MC with remixes on them I've never had the patience to go through them to find my favourite remixes. I know, I'm a bad Lamb.

Re: Charmbracelet (92,585) (92,598) by Will from Australia
Oh Nikki. I was reading your post about how great Charmbracelet is and got to the part comparing Clown to Breakdown and literally spat out my tea.

I was actually trying to figure out if that album is my most disliked of hers, as I'm also not that crazy about Rainbow. Both very similar albums with some great songs but a lot of fillers and tracks that are harmful to your eardrums.

I've always thought though that Subtle Invitation was an early indication of the sounds we'd hear more of on The Emancipation of Mimi and it would not be out of place living on that album.

As much as Charmbracelet infuriates me, it's so pleasing that Mariah has such a large fan base and range of musicality that there are many fans who come to give it its flowers.

Re: The Marammys (92,574) (92,584) by Will from Australia
Great addition Edward and a tough one but I've gone back into the vault for one that, if released at the time would've taken over the airwaves.

Single that wasn't but should've been: Till The End Of Time

Re: Butterfly (92,530) (92,536) by Will from Australia
The Roof and Breakdown were standouts to me where she stepped outside her comfort box. Fourth of July always felt like a lesser imitation of Underneath the Stars, without the same daydreaming essence. Whenever You Call though was the one track that floored me and I had on repeat, even it if is When I Saw You Part II, here it's actually better than its predecessor and I didn't think it needed the redo with BMcK. Outside, again a cheap version of Looking In. Beautiful Ones was a slow burner for me and now one of my faves. But overall when I think of a Mariah album I'd love her to make something now that was similar to, it'd be Daydream rather than Butterfly.

Butterfly (92,517) by Will from Australia
Am I the only one who just likes Butterfly but would rather listen to several of her other albums? Like I get the significance of it to her, yada yada, but I just don't rant and rave about it like other lambs do. Don't get me wrong, I love so much of it but I personally don't think it's her best album. Daydream would be my hand in heart perfect album from her but I even prefer Music Box, TEOM, MOAIA and E=MC2 to it. Even Heartbreaker is a better uptempo than Honey to me.

I had no idea who Roger was that you guys are mentioning so I did some digging and came across this discussion in a forum from a long time ago. I don't know how genuine it is but it was super interesting to read nonetheless

Re: You're Mine vs You Don''t Know What as first single (92,372) (92,396) by Will from Australia
You’re Mine was actually the third song released from MIAM after #Beautiful and then The Art of Letting Go. It was a promotional single that debuted on Facebook (we all remember her meltdown about the version not being the finished version despite them sounding nearly exactly the same?) but was released digitally and allowed to chart - it just didn’t make the Hot 100.

Re: 100% as second single after Obsessed (92,350) (92,366) by Will from Australia
The Memoirs single choices were probably the most ridiculous of her entire catalog. Ribbon, Standing O and More Than Just Friends should've seen daylight as singles
