About RJJ12 from USA: A fan since 1990. Favorite Mariah quotes, "It doesn't matter how I look, if I'm singin..." & "I can't even know what to say." I love R&B and Hip Hop, but I listen to any genre of music as long as the song is great. Love saaaanger/songwriters. I'm not a "yes" fan but I do give credit when its due.

Well said Special K. How are you doing these days?

Re: Mariah's next number one (100,146) (100,147) by RJJ12 from USA
No one is combatting theories. Billboard was clear about their rule. There is no such thing as "fan driven" number 1s. If that was the case Mariah would have a lot more 1s. TGIFY only went number 1 because urban radio was playing the heck out of the remix while the original version collected dust. Even with Fantasy debuting at #1 and staying there for 8 consecutive weeks, the kids today don't know the song. Lol. Fans can stream and request but it will be the general public and radio that would take BER to number 1. People should just enjoy the remix.

Re: Billboard Hot 100 (100,138) (100,139) by RJJ12 from USA
Hi T. My source is Billboard, where they explained the 50% rule and explicitly stated that the remix has not yet made up for at least half of the points. It's lacking in streams and radio plays. Let's not make up conspiracy theories and get worked up over nothing. The song has had a slow climb. It's been out since September 2021. I think the remix will gain popularity as the weather warms up. Even if she doesn't get credit I'm enjoying the remix anyway.

Re: Stella would've gotten her credited (100,125) (100,126) by RJJ12 from USA
I read in another forum that the Billboard rule is the remix has to be the dominant version by at least 50%. So stream away and request it on radio. Lol.

Re: #3 (100,102) (100,111) by RJJ12 from USA
Many fans would have laughed at the idea of Mariah having a current shot at a 20th #1. Now she's so close. I remember when she hit 18 the stans would always say 19th #1 for every single released afterwards only to have their dreams crushed. Then the more jaded fans would start making fun of them and calling them delusional. I hope I start seeing 20th #1 again to future singles. One can dream right. Every once and a while, dreams come true - lol.

One of the gems from that era. It would have done well on radio.

Add the re-imaged version of [The Roof]. She said that was [before] the masterclass comes out.

Re: Any news (99,982) (99,984) by RJJ12 from USA
Mimi L. I've missed you lady. How are you? How is the married life treating you beautiful? I'm actually excited in hearing the remix. I'm glad Mariah jumped on it even though poor Latto couldn't get her story straight as to whether she ever heard the song before or even knew of Mariah. I've been wanting Mariah to jump on other songs as a feature for a while.

Re: Tommy's Mariah (part 3) breaking down (99,820) (99,837) by RJJ12 from USA
Edward, you jumped into my post, not vice versa. Which is something you have a habit of doing because your [sic] desperate for attention and love to spread negativity. There is a difference between calling you out on your bs and attacking you. I never attacked you or called you names yet you are accusing me of smoking crack. Since you want to accuse me of attacking you, how about this. Come for me again and I have more for you. Giving one's opinion and being intentionally shady or two different things. Oh and that's just my opinion, so you shouldn't get your little feelings hurt. Boop. Lol.

And here comes Edward wanting to get into a conversation that has nothing to do with him to foster more back and forth between Ribbon and I. Push on Edward, find some attention elsewhere. I know you love to throw shade and it looks like your attempt to recruit the final foursome for your Mean Girls Clique is complete. Why don't you, the Nutty Professor, the English Ragamuffin, and your new recruit make your own fan hate site. I don't need you trying to come braid my hair, respect social distance guidelines and keep your Omarion to yourself please.

I didn't ask for your feedback or anyone else's. I was just sharing for those that might be interested. Y'all so sad and negative here. Find some happiness. If you want to join the Negative Nancy Clique go right ahead but don't come over here with it.

You need some attention that bad TJ from Norway? There is giving your opinion and there is being just plain negative. If you want to bash and be shady, don't respond to my posts. Mind the business that pays you.

Re: Tommy's Mariah (part 3) breaking down (99,797) (99,800) by RJJ12 from USA
Because it not only shows her past interviews but interviews from other people. Again, you shouldn't judge something you didn't watch. Docs are typically for non fans as most fans already know everything there is to know. This doc pieces everything together nicely. Kanye has a doc on Netflix. Why can't Mariah?

Side note Ribbon, if you are going to be negative, catty, and shady, I prefer you refrain from responding to any of my posts. Just keep scrolling. I'll do the same for yours. Be blessed.

You didn't even watch it Ribbon. Don't judge until you actually watch. How is she not interested when she is currently working on a film adaptation of her life - lol. This doc actually includes interviews from each time frame and audio from her book.

Tommy’s Mariah (part 3) breaking down (99,791) by RJJ12 from USA
I've been waiting for the YouTube channel realizing the dream to work on, finalize and post this part. This was a very well put together piece of work that should be on Netflix. Wish Mariah's people would get behind it, support the creator and get it on a steaming network. It would be a nice precursor to her movie/mini series on her memoir. Here is the link for anyone that wants to watch it.

Re: MC16 and up tempo bangers (99,691) (99,698) by RJJ12 from USA
She needs a new album full of uptempo songs. I heard Mays' album and you are right, Bongo by the way's tracks are stand outs. I love Here With Me Fest Anderson Paak. Can you image MC writing something hot over that beat. He also produced Love Will Never. Another favorite. London on the track is another wish list producer of mine. He tweeted Mariah when she released GTFO to produce her next single (she needs to take him up on the offer). He produced Failing In Love on Marys' new album which screams single with that soul sample. Is very Mary-esque. She needs to work with both of these producers asap.

Re: Why the secrecy (99,506) (99,512) by RJJ12 from USA
Her band live in Atlanta so she bought a house there so they can jam together and make music. The first Butterfly Lounge was in Atlanta where I think the Butterfly Lounge project was primarily filmed. When she was having trouble finding a place there she mentioned it in passing to Tyler Perry and he found her a home same day.

Re: How Greatest Hits should've played out (99,430) (99,435) by RJJ12 from USA
In her book she said when she renegotiated her deal to leave Sony she was required to give them a greatest hits album. That's why by the time they finally released it after she left she barely promoted it.

Re: Forbes fail (99,423) (99,427) (99,429) by RJJ12 from USA
But Forbes isn't a chart magazine, so why discuss the song dropping from the charts after the holiday season. Why not discuss all of the lucrative deals and financial power the song has managed to give an artist 30 years into their career. Not everyone has that. The song is an anomaly and has grown bigger than Mariah herself. The fact that each year it gets bigger and bigger should be looked into. Not the obvious chart performance after the season. Do we need an article telling us that? It's just common sense no? Just my thoughts.

Re: Forbes fail (99,422) (99,423) by RJJ12 from USA
Yes but usually the top three slots are Christmas tunes and the same thing happens to them as well. But no mention of them. Mariah tends to get bashed unfairly with these articles. It's pointless because of course if it's a seasonal song it's going to disappear after the season, it's common sense. Do we really need an article about it. I would think Forbes would be focused on writing an article of the finances this song brings her each year with all of the multiple deals her team sets up surrounding the song's popularity each Christmas.

Re: Mariah surprises fans (99,343) (99,354) by RJJ12 from USA
@Will. Thank you. At least someone else agrees. I say remix and revamp as many of your old songs as you want. It's not like we are getting new albums every other year. I want more music. Preferably new music but I'm good with waiting as timing is everything. And let's say the remix's come out horrible. They are going to come and go with a blink of an eye. The album versions are still accessible for all to enjoy. The remixes might be part of the masterclass she is doing this year that focuses on writing and producing.

Re: Mariah surprises fans (99,336) (99,341) by RJJ12 from USA
@Bill. She is promoting it so why wouldn't it be. She's wearing the same dress she wore while doing all her virtual press for it. She didn't have to bother with the fans but she did anyway. Not sure why this is so bad and everyone is thumbing up the diss instead of the video. Wierd [sic].

Mariah surprises fans (99,335) by RJJ12 from USA
It's really cool that she did this recently. Taking advantage of technology to still reach out to fans virtually can really make someone's day. Kind of excited to see what this The Roof mix is going to give.
